De oude stad Luxor, met haar imposante monumenten, heilige tempels en mysterieuze graven, is een wereld van verschil met alles wat je tot nu toe hebt gezien. Op deze hele dagtrip vanaf Hurghada verken je deze UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie, waar volgens schattingen van deskundigen maar liefst een derde van alle antieke voorwerpen ter wereld te vinden is.Je staat bij het krieken van de dag op om op weg te gaan en het meeste uit je tijd in Luxor te halen. Het goede nieuws is dat het uitzicht vanaf het busraam behoorlijk indrukwekkend is, terwijl je door de ruige heuvels en rode bergketens van de Oostelijke Woestijn rijdt. Bij aankomst gaat je direct naar de westelijke oever van de Nijl om omhoog te kijken naar twee enorme stenen beelden van farao Amenhotep III. Deze reuzen, bekend als de Kolossen van Memnon, bewaken de toegangspoort naar je volgende bestemming.De Vallei der Koningen herbergt 63 koninklijke graven van grote Egyptische farao's, waaronder de beroemde Toetanchamon, en je gaat drie daarvan bezoeken. Terwijl je afdaalt in de koele tunnels, kun je de levendige schilderingen en hiërogliefen langs de muren bewonderen, totdat je de 3500 jaar oude grafkamers bereikt – dat is pas ontzagwekkend!Steek de Nijl over naar de oostelijke oever voor de lunch, waar u lokale Egyptische delicatessen proeft voordat u uw laatste stop maakt op dit avontuur in de oude wereld. De naam Karnak-tempel is een beetje misleidend, want het is eigenlijk een enorm, uitgestrekt religieus complex van tempels, kapellen, beelden en obelisken. Het werd gebouwd ter verering van Amon, de koning der goden, en zijn vrouw en zoon, en elke oude dynastie breidde het uit gedurende een periode van 2.000 jaar. We didnt have an English tour guide until we got to the destination. The guide on the bus was speaking in German to the other people on the bus & giving all the information to them in German. When we did arrive at luxor our guide was fantastic he showed us the best tombs to go into and was very knowledgeable. (Mohammed).

Der Besuch in dem Shop nach dem Tal der Könige über den Guid hatte sich als Betrug herausgestellt. Ich habe 80 Euro für eine Figur bezahlt und beim Auspacken stellte ich fest das die Figur viel leichter ist als die die ich im Shop auf den Tisch gestellt habe. Ich werde über ihre Argentur keinen Ausflug und auch keine Fernreise mehr buchen.

It took too long to confirm my pickup time, I spent most of the day chasing various people to confirm the trip as my TUI rep wasn't due on site that day. I finally got an email at 5pm. English speaking guide was fantastic. The information you provided on the online booking receipt is wrong, states Tutankhamun & Tomb of Ramses VI are extra. So I believed I could see SETI I for free, only to find out that it was an extra cost and when trying to pay online, the transaction failed which is common

We did not go on this trip my husband was ill not due to holiday but it meant he was unable to travel I was unable to contact the company by phone as suggested on ticket so I sent emails ( proof available) the cancellation was to be made no later than the 9th my cancellation was made in the 9. We text TUI as instructed and the girl said she would cancel it. The coach arrived at 03.15 am we were phoned asking where we were causing us distress we were woken and the coach was here unnecessarily

Guide was not having enough knowledge, he was not putting any efforts to explain about historical sites to the visitors. Breaks on coach were lentheir than excursion. Drop off was poorly organised, drop off ban driver (post transfer from coach) was dangerously driving. Coach driver was also dangerously driving, at one place he nearly rammed into a stationary vehicle which seems to break down

Top bezienswaardigheden. Goede lunch, spijtig dat we binnen moesten eten ipv op het terras met zicht op de Nijl. Te lange pickup tijd. We moesten om 03h20 vertrekken en een uur later zaten we nog steeds in Hurghada mensen aan het opladen. In de Koningsvallei liep de gids te snel en keek niet om of iedereen kon volgen. Na bezoek aan het eerste graf, zijn we hem kwijt gespeeld. In paniek en per toeval hem teruggevonden en gevraagd om meer aandacht te hebben voor zijn groep, wat hij dan ook deed.

The plus side was obviously the Valley of the Kings and The Temple in Luxor. However the 5 hour minibus journey including rest break both ways was an absolute nightmare. We also had a meal provided by a 5 star hotel - Steinberger something which was totally awful - we had to buy our own drinks even though we were mixed with the guests in there all you can eat buffet.

Negativ: Sehr viel Zeitdruck vom Tourguide bei historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten, im Tal der Könige hat er sehr gedrängelt, und wir mussten im Bus noch 20 Minuten auf die englische Gruppe warten, anstatt in den Gräbern.. Sehr negativer Punkt: Nach Tal d. K. mussten wir in eine "Alabaster-Manufaktur", 2 Minuten Erzählen über Handwerk, dann 1 Stunde im Verkaufsraum. Das war nicht im Programm, hier kein Zeitdruck! Menem-Kolosse: Zeitdruck, Bus fuhr schon ohne uns an, Hupe, Karnak: Zeitdruck

Long day ( knew it would be ). Not much time at 3 sites stopped at,all very busy, rushed through. Tombs in valley small and underwhelming. Nile boat spoilt by pounding pop music and excessive noise and smell of diesel motor. Glad only paid £100 as can’t see flight option offers value at x 2+ cost

The tour guide & driver were brilliant, this is a TUI issue. For the amount paid, I did NOT expect to be taken to several shops and pressured into buying items. We seemingly had unlimited time in shops but were intensely rushed around the main sites we paid to see. The shops put on OTT performances and multiple staff members followed us and made us VERY uncomfortable. One shop falsely described as “going to a local house to understand culture”. I would not recommend this, I asked for refund

Enjoyed the Valley of the Kings and the Karnak temple. Always wanted to see them. The lunch in the Iberotel was very good. Although we booked on a small group tour of 8 people in English, we had to share a coach with a large German language tour and had constant loud German commentary on the loudspeakers as we approached and drove round Luxor. It was quite hard hearing our guide when he was talking.

Reisleider vertelde goed, soms langdradig. Alleen helaas niet in het Nederlands wat wij wel hadden geboekt. In het engels toch lastig te volgen waardoor je belangrijke dingen mist. Op de site wordt geadviseerd om credit card mee te nemen, daar kan beter staan om contant geld mee te nemen voor het kopen van tickets en betalen van de toiletten.

Det vi så var interessant, kunne have undværet salgstur til alabasterfabrik. vi kunne ikke høre hvad guiden sagde, og det var en meget jappet tur, hvor vi først fik noget tid til at tage indtrykkene ind da vi nåede Karnak. Frokosten skulle overstås på 20 min. Til slut gik chaufføren der skulle køre os hjem, og guiden helt balalejka på hinanden, og råbte og skreg, det endte med at vi blev kørt til vores hoteller og nærmest smidt ud af bussen mens chaufføren råbte og skreg i telefon. ikke så rart.

Retki oli kyllä kokemisen arvoinen. Aikaa Karnakin temppelin tutustumiseen oli puoli tuntia ja kuninkaiden laaksossakin aika oli hyvin rajattua. Nopeasti piti nähdä paljon. Kuninkaiden laaksossa oli pettymys tyhjennetty Tutakhamonin hauta, josta ei ollut mitään mainintaa. Opas vain kertoi, ettei kannata maksaa tyhjästä. Aivan turha käynti oli alabasteri kauppa, jossa aikaa oli kyllä yllin kyllin. Tämä vei aikaa pääasialta. Ruokailu Niilin rannalla oli mukava kokemus.

Es hat etwas genervt, dass die Zeitangaben nicht eindeutig waren. Es stand 4:30 Abholung auf dem Voucher aber dann wurde 5:30 bestätigt. Es war nicht klar ob das local time oder Robinson time war. Das muss klarer sein. Wenn 5:30 Abholung ist sollte das auch im Voucher stehen. 4:30 und 18 Stunden Ausflug schreckt ab!

Die Tour beinhaltet neben den kurzen Besuchen in der Tempelanlage und dem Tal der Könige leider mehrere Verkaufsveranstaltungen, in denen man massiv dazu gedrängt wird, wertlose Souvenirs zu stark überhöhten Preisen zu kaufen. Bislang hat auch TUI als Verkäufer der Tour (159 Euro pro Person) nicht auf meine Kritik reagiert trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage. Ich fühlte mich auf der Tour durch die Situation in den Läden (Tür verschlossen -was wollen Sie kaufen? ) erpresst.

The tour was more informative in German, English speaking customers were given less time when the guide was speaking, felt we were not given as much information as the German speaking customers. We felt that we should have been informed that during the tour you will be taken to a Albaster factory in Luxor. It was very intimidating, we were not interested we just wanted to see the tombs. The actual sight seeing was rushed especially at the Temples of Karnak.

Der Aufenthalt und die Führungen waren sehr gehetzt. Ein wenig mehr Zeit im Tempel und im Tal der Könige wäre wünschenswert. Die älteren Teilnehmer waren sehr gestresst. Sehr nervig sind die sehr langen Transporte vom Hotel zum und vom Treffpunkt ins Hotel. Evtl mehr Zubringer einsetzen

Kohde oli loistava ja kiinnostava, opas tietäväinen Egyptin historiasta. Retken pääkieli oli selvästi saksa ja se ärsytti meitä kovin. saksankielinen opas kertoi paljon nykypäivästä ja käytti bussin edessä mikrofonia, kun taas englanninkielinen ei. Kuuluvuus oli siis huono. Eniten haluan antaa palautetta retken noutoajan ja -paikan varmistamisesta, joka aiheutti stressiä ennen matkaa. Kyselin asiasta moneen kertaan, mutta asia vahvistettiin vasta edellisenä iltana tekstiviestillä.

Fantastic tour and although a very long day it is worth it and a most when visiting Egypt. Karnak temple, alabaster factory and valley of the kings were all amazing and really enjoyed by adults and kids. Our bus was split between German and English group and was evident that the German guide spent significant more time giving information. Would have been good to hear more about the ancient Egyptians vs current Egypt

Dass unser Reiseleiter Deutsch gesprochen hat, war natürlich sehr bequem, er hat uns sehr viel Informationen und Hintergrundwissen gegeben und war sehr engagiert, sympathisch und gebildet. Hat unsere Fragen kompetent und mit viel Wissen beantwortet. Wir hatten auch genug Zeit an den Tempelanlagen zur Besichtigung. Alles in allem trotz der langen Hin- und Rückfahrt eine toller Ausflug mit bleibenden Erinnerungen.

Guide war etwas unfreundlich und hat viel Stress gemacht, es gab kaum Gelegenheit auf die Toilette zu gehen und zu wenig persönliche Zeit im Tempel, ich fände es schöne wenn man freiwillig mit dem Guide gehen kan. wir wären lieber alleine durch den Tempel gelaufen und hätten uns zu einer bestimmten Uhrzeit wieder getroffen. Der Tourguide war oft genervt, wenn man auf die Toilette musste oder man sich noch was zu trinken geholt hat.

Wir waren in einer Reisegruppe mit ca. 80% polnisch sprechenden Personen. Daher hat der Guide nur polnisch während der Busfahrt gesprochen und wir haben leider einige Informationen über Sehenswürdigkeiten verpasst. Der deutsche Guide kam am Zielort Luxor dazu und hat eine prima Führung gegeben.

We didn't get to visit the temple of queen hatshepsut despite it being included in the description of the tour. Otherwise excellent experience , knowledgeable tour guide and great to have a toilet available on the coach Would be useful to know we were required to pay for drinks with lunch to ensure we bought enough cash with us on the trip

Easy to book online. Glad we booked a private tour as would not have wanted to spend almost four hours travelling on a coach. Pleasant and informative guide. We felt the morning was a little rushed and would have preferred to have spent a little more time at Karnak, but understand that there was a lot to cram into our time in Luxor. Perhaps drop the stop at the alabaster factory? But then again understand that local trades needs the tourists to drop in. Well worth the long journey.

Tour to Luxor was well organised into several timely chunks of activity Karnak Temple, nice meal, Nile crossing and Valley of the Kings, ceramic factory, plus a comfort stop on long journeys between Hurghada / Luxor. Transport ran more or less to schedule. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful.

Oli mahtavaa päästä näkemään Karnakin temppeli ja kuninkaiden laakso, mutta aikaa oli liian vähän. Tuntui että liian paljon jäi näkemättä, kun kokoajan oli kova kiire. Opas juoksutti meidät vain nopeasti temppelin läpi, jonka jälkeen saatiin puoli tuntia aikaa vapaasti kiertää ja ihmetellä ympärillemme. Paikassa, jossa on tuhansia muitakin samaan aikaan kiertämässä ei puoli tuntia riitä. Liikaa aikaa meni siihen kun opas vei meidät ostoksille, joka oli aivan turhaa.

Luxorissa paljon nähtävää josta kuitenkin jätetty pois Luxorin temppeli ja kuningattarien laakso. Sen sijaan meidät vietiin alapasteritavaroiden myyntipaikkaan. Pitkällä ajomatkalla vain 10 min tauko jolloin piti valita käydäkö vessassa vai kahvin ostossa. Jaloittelu tärkeää pitkässä istumisessa. Kohteessa kovalla kiirellä läpijuostu päivä, opastus huonolla englannin kielellä. Lounasta ei ehtinyt syödä loppuun kun meidät pakotettiin maksullisella kyydillä Niilin yli ( bussi oli lähtenyt).

Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind top. Kaum Zeit bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten aber für Verkauf wird sich alle Zeit der Welt genommen. Ist eher eine Kaffeefahrt.

Ondanks de lange busreis was het zeker de moeite waard. Wel is alles snel en relatief kort te bekijken wat bij sommige plekken jammer is. De gids praatte goed en rustig Engels waardoor het voor ons goed te volgen was. Netjes dat er van tevoren gevraagd was of we ivm te weinig Nederlanders de Engelse trip mee wilden of dat er wilden verplaatsen.

Lähtö piti olla 04 ja paluu 22-23. Lähtö tapahtui 4.45 ja paluu 20.30. Opas puhui niin huonoa englantia, ettei siitä juurikaan saanut selvää, eikä ymmärtänyt hänelle ihan hyvällä englannilla esitettyjä kysymyksiä. Retkestä ei ollut kokonaiskuvaa, ei tiedetty, kuinka kaun mikin kestää. Esimerkiksi ennen takaisin lähtöä ei kerrottu, että nyt istutaan bussissa seuraavat kolme tuntia. Luxorissa mentiin kiireellä, mihinkään ei ehtinyt kunnolla tutustua. Harmi koska Luxor oli matkan päätarkoitus.

Positiv: Transfer war pünktlich und mit einem großem Reisebus. Essen im Steigenberger Hotel war gut. Negativ: Viel zuweinig Zeit bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Zusätzliche Stopps unnötig.

De bus zat voor grotendeels vol met polen(?). De reisleider gaf dan ook enkel in het Pools het verloop van de reis aan. Gids was duidelijk en rustig. Aangename uitleg.

La journée a été très intense dès le départ (levé à 03.45h !) Le trajet en bus est très long est les explications du guide seulement en anglais :-( Karnak est un endroit empli de solides monuments, c'est hyper impressionnant :-) La vallée de rois est vraiment mystique :-) , c'est impressionnant également Globalement, une visite à ne pas manquer

The day trip was great. We went with a tour bus and had a very good tour guide. He told us a lot about Egypt and especially Luxor, the temple of Karnak and the royal tombs. Besides, he told us something about the culture and way of life of the Egyptians. There was a break for lunch on the Nile.

Magnifique paysage désertiques et puis luxuriants sur la route.Beau mixe entre paysager visites dommage le trajet mais c obligatoire.Journée fatigante mais qui en vaut la peine.Notre guide Moheb très sympa.??

Unsere Tour fand am 01.08.2023 statt. Temperaturen waren an den Stationen über 40 Grad, also man sollte körperlich halbwegs fit sein (einen großen Anteil des Tages verbringt man im klimatisierten Bus). Insbesondere die über 100 Stufen hoch zum Tempel der Hatschepsut in praller Sonne ist vom Kreislauf her eine Herausforderung und nicht für jeden geeignet. Man wird aber mit wahnsinnig tollen Eindrücken und Ansichten und Einblicken in die Kultur und Geschichte Ägyptens belohnt.

Besuch der Alabasterfabrik ist irgendwie überflüssig (aber nicht aufdringlich), würde dafür höheren Tourpreis akzeptieren, wenn dies nicht dabei wäre, das würde mehr Zeit bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten bringen.

Really great trip, tour guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. You get your moneys worth and get plenty of time at each place, would recommend taking a hat and lots of water. Book thought the musement website would definitely book thought here again.
