Winding its way from Lake Koycegiz to the Agean, the River Dalyan is as peaceful as it is pretty. And today, you'll get to see it from all angles during this guided trip to Dalyan. Gökhan, one of our guides, says of the valley, "God has made this place so beautiful, with hot springs and Turkey's most beautiful beach. And there's a varied ecosystem, with migrating birds and turtles."Leaving in the morning, you'll head to Dalyan Harbour with your guide, in the heart of the town. Here, you'll hop aboard an eco-friendly boat for a trip along the Dalyan River. Your guide will tell you about the different wildlife that hang their hats in this part of Turkey, and the skipper will slow the boat down when you approach the ancient Lycian tombs. These ancient temples were carved into the cliffs near the river over 1,000 years ago. You'll trundle along a patch of the river at a relaxed pace. Eventually, you'll pop a U-turn and head back to Dalyan, where you'll hace some free time to explore the town. Wander along the waterfront, dip into one of the bars or restaurants for a bite to eat, shop for spice sets, ceramics and more in the different souvenirs shops – the choice is yours.

Ein toller Ausflug mit vielen Infos von unserem "Ado". Er hat das wirklich super gemacht, mit Herz und super viel Hintergrundwissen hat er uns durch den Tag geführt. Alle Beteiligten waren super nett, die Bootsfahrt war wunderschön, das Städtchen und die Felsengräber durchaus sehenswert. Alles in allem ein wirklich toller Trip den wir als Familie (Mama, Papa mit 3 Kids (1, 4 & 17) sehr genossen haben. Vielen Dank!

Die Flussfahrt ist kompletter Müll - einfach nur Scam. Einmal im Kreis und die Gräber dann vom Hafen aus ansehen, dafür hätte ich keine Flussfahrt benötigt.

We chose a half day tour as it was too hot for us to go on a full day excursion. River was beautiful and clean and really enjoyed being able to see the tombs. Spend 1.5 hours in Dalaman which felt a bit too long for me, could have done with an hour and spent more time on the river. Perfect amount of time, absolutely seamless from pick up to drop off. The tour didn’t include a visit to turtle beach (not sure if it should have!) though I was I fact lucky enough to see a turtle in the river!

Sehr gut war der Guide Ado, alles sehr gut erklärt, und einen trockenen Humor dazu. Tolle Fahrt, und genügend Zeit in der Stadt noch gehabt.

Tour war insgesamt schön und informativ- Guide war gut, jedoch waren wir bei der halb Tages Tour nicht an der Turtle Beach sonder nur Fahrt bis zu den Gräbern. Das fand ich schade. Viele Grüße

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Man sitzt längere Zeit im Bus, als auf dem Fluss unterwegs zu sein. Die Bootfahrt ist, wenn überhaupt, eine Stunde lang. Gleich zu Anfang wurde man quasi darauf gedrängt, das ein Fotograf Bilder von einem macht, die im Anschluss für 15 Euro verkauft wurden. Nach der Bootstour war man im Touriort Dalyan, wo ein Billigshop nach dem anderen zu finden war. Die übliche Trinkgeldbettelei gab es natürlich auch. Schildkröten gab es nicht.

Dieser Ausflug ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten zudem einen sehr freundlichen und humorvollen Tourguide. Es hat dadurch echt Spaß gemacht.

Our trip did not include a visit to turtle beach it was a half day trip to Dalyan and river boat cruise not turtle beach The trip was OK main issue was we were informed the guide would be English speaking which she was but her English was not very good and very hard to understand

Did not include turtle beach - not advertised as such on half day anyway! River cruise was OK but did not see any point in tourist shopping time. Unfortunately the guide may have been very knowledgeable but her limited use of English made it very difficult to understand. No water offered to us on the coach on a VERY hot day.

Not worth the money. I'm glad I saw the catacombs but that's it. I would not go again, nor recommend anybody to go for that money. The guide was speaking quietly on the bus so I also couldn't hear all the details. In the town we did not know where to go, we didn't see the turtle beach. We thought we will be taken there by the guide. Really wate of money.

We really enjoyed the trip to dalyan. Coach driver was a careful driver. The tour guide was lovely, friendly and very informative. We enjoyed the walk around dalyan, and found it a friendly place. People were friendly and sales people were not pushy. So overall a pleasant experience.

Lack of information from the reps part when booking meant this trip didn’t quite meet expectations. We understood the trip to entail a coach ride to a boat, a boat trip of about 45-50 minutes to Dalyan then a few hours in Dalyan before a boat trip back. This was not the case. The stop at rock tombs was nice, but not expected and cut into our time in Dalyan where we ended up having a rushed lunch with our little one. We needed a lunch stop and time was limited to do this.

Es war insgesamt eine tolle Tour mit interessanten Einblicken und Informationen über die Gegend in die Türkei selbst. Gerade mit Kindern ein sehr guter Ausflug. Die Halbtagestour hat vollkommen gereicht.

Site de découverte très joli, tour en bateau apaisant mais cependant beaucoup trop court par rapport à la durée d’excursion. Possibilité aux enfants de conduire le bateau. 2heures libres dans Dalyan aux heures les plus chaudes, difficile d’en profiter. Nous recommandons plutôt de faire l’excursion d’une journée complète.

Turtle Beach??? Kann ich mich nicht dran erinnern. Im Prinzip ist es doch ein Shuttle Service nach Dalyan mit anschließender 1,5 stündiger Bootsfahrt und 1,5 stündigem Aufenthalt. Die Steingräber waren das Highlight. Ich würde diesen Ausflug nicht wiederholen.

I think this is marketed incorrectly we were expecting a turtle beach visit which we didn’t get we got a river boat cruise and a town visit and when you have young children who are looking forwards to seeing turtles it’s a bit disappointing to be honest

Sehr schönes Erlebnis, besonders am Morgen sehr zu empfehlen. Reiseleiter Adnan ist sehr engagiert und erzählt viel Interessantes über Land und Leute. Wunderschöne Landschaft. Gerne wieder.

The river tour was nice and the archeological site interesting. It was a bit annoying that you are strapped on a boar and they are trying to sell you products and then sell you photos. The town itself is not very interesting, just a touristic shopping street.

The boat trip itself would be better if it were a longer trip. Having someone who knows birds on the boat would be good. To spot and point out. A little less time in Dalyan itself would be better,. I like that the boats are a co operative. You could combine this trip with a journey to the nearby archilogical place, Kounos. Please stop the reminder about tipping its old stuff and don’t need to be put in that position of a reminder about tipping. Whether it is tradition or not.
