Madeira's magnificent scenery takes centre stage on this full day tour. You'll visit a selection of highlights including Cabo Girao Cliff and it's glass-floored platform, Porto Moniz and Paúl da Serra. Mariana, one of our expert local guides, says "you'll get to know the true drama of Madeira's landscapes. You might be lucky enough to see the ocean both to the north and the south, but the highest points on the island do sometimes catch the clouds."Your first destination will be the Cabao Girao Cliff, where you can step out onto its glass-floored platform that stretches out over the edge. The coastal views here are some of the best around, so don't forget your camera. Mariana adds, "the cliff is around 580 metres high, making it one of the tallest in Europe. The views from the skywalk are really something else, and its experience that'll stick with you." Then, you'll head to the coastal town of Riberia Brava, before a stroll through a banana plantation in Madalena do Mar.Next, we'll head up the 1,500m-high Paúl da Serra plateau before descending on Porto Moniz, famous for its natural lava rock swimming pools. A typical meal freshly prepared with local produce awaits in the village if you book the tour option that includes lunch. Rounding off the day is a poncha drink demonstration and tasting in Câmara de Lobos – a favourite holiday spot of Winston Churchill. Mariana says "be careful – poncha is so fruity and refreshing, but it hides a serious brandy kick." What is the itinerary for this experience? The itinerary for this experience is...- 8:35am to 9:15am – pick‑up at hotels in Caniço and Funchal- 9:30am – stop and visit Cabo Girão viewpoint for around 30 minutes- 10:20am – visit Ribeira Brava village for around 40 minutes- 11:10am – stop at Madalena do Mar to walk through a banana farm estate- 11:35am – depart in the direction of Paul da Serra plateau with a photo stop (weather permitting)- 12:40pm – arrive at Porto Moniz for lunch at a local restaurant (if you book the tour option that includes lunch)- 2:40pm – head to Câmara de Lobos village- 3:20pm – arrive at Câmara de Lobos village and stop at a local bar- 4:00pm – return to Funchal- 4:30pm to 5:30pm – drop-off at hotelsPlease note, the times and schedule may vary on the day and depending on weather conditions, the excursion may be done in reverse order, the guide will decide on the day of the tour.

Had an amazing day! Tour guide was great, such good knowledge and information given through out the whole day - didn’t have to worry about pick up points and timings as everything was so well explained also was able to leave belongings on the coach, knowing they would be safe. Lunch was lovely with amazing views! Would recommend this trip , a wonderful way way to see the island.

It was absolutely brilliant, I could not fault it at all. The numbers on the tour were quite small so it felt more personal. If anything I would prefer it to be this amount of people rather than a jam packed coach.

Insgesamt eine gelungene Tour - wir würden sie wieder so machen. Vom Cabo Girao waren wir ein wenig enttäuscht - dafür war das Mittagessen besser als erwartet. Unsere Guide - Luisa - ist super. Besser, ehrlicher gehts nicht.

Heel veel gezien. Ook vanuit de bus genoten van de mooie natuur en de prachtige uitzichten. Spijtig genoeg was er bewolking toen we op de glazen loopbrug liepen. Doorheen de flarden zag je soms wel het adembenemende uitzicht. Veel geleerd over het kweken van bananen. Heerlijke lunch. De lavapoelen waren indrukwekkend. Schattig dorpje om af te sluiten en de lokale drank te proeven. Chapeau voor de buschauffeur. Veel informatie gekregen van de gids Geert op een ludieke manier.

Tout était bien organisé mais personnellement nous n’aimons pas les visites en gros groupes bruyants avec les descentes du car 5 min pour faire les photos toutes les mêmes… Le guide était génial, partageant toutes ses connaissances de Madère et de ses habitants.

Great value day out. The guide was very knowledgeable and the driver was fantastic on the tight roads. Lots of lovely places visited during the day and guide Carla was really informative. Overall was a super day, learning lots about Madeira. We had a great time and 100% recommend!

Je komt op verschillende mooie plaatsjes maar overal heel kort. Mooie natuur, zowee erl onderweg als op de stopplaatsen. Middageten is ok maar de foto’s die er getrokken worden tegen betaling (geen aankoop plicht) zijn overbodig. De stop in de bar om poncho te drinken was hectisch; veel te weinig ruimte. Onze gids ventileerde iets te nadrukkelijk zijn ongenoegen over het aantal toeristen

Allereerst was de prijs behoorlijk hoger dan aangegeven op de website. De gids had een humor, die ik niet altijd waarderen kon en was soms moeilijk te volgen. Sprak soms te snel, eindigde zijn zinnen altijd met klemtoon op het laatste woord en een e of en eraan vastgeplakt. Was irritant.

Wij vonden dat we te veel en te lang in de bus zaten. Op een aantal plaatsen kregen we tijd om rond te lopen. De plaatsen hadden weinig te bieden qua cultuur. Hadden verwacht dat we meer in de plaatsen zouden worden rondgeleid en extra historie en culturele informatie zouden krijgen. Veel informatie wat niet relevant was.

Interessante Tour. Der Aussichtspunkt Cabo Girau sehr touristisch aber toller Ausblick von der Klippe. Bei Porto Moniz besteht Bademöglichkeit aber ohne Umkleidekabine. Das Essen war ordentlich. Insgesamt aber ein lohnender Ausflug.

Te grote groep, te grote bus, onveilig in het verkeer(hinder voor andere weggebruikers). Bezoek aan vb Cabo Girão op het verkeerde tijdstip. Foto-stops op verkeerde plaats. De lunch was wel Ok. De begeleider ( Geert) is iemand met te hoge zelfdunk en dringt zijn mening ongevraagd voortdurend op aan de anderen. Hij is ook zeer negatief.

Meine Frau und ich sind vollkommen zufrieden mit der Tour. Preis-Leistung ist super und empfehlenswert. Das inklusive Mittagessen besteht aus Vorspeise, Hauptgang und einem Nachtisch. Hinzu wurde Wasser und Wein auch bereit gestellt. Schöne Aussichten sind hier die Kirsche auf der Tour ! 🤙🏼

Durch die Serpentinen wäre das Sicherheitsgefühl in kleineren Bussen größer. Auch, wenn der Fahrer souverän gefahren ist. Lokalität mittags erinnert an Kantine mit Massenabfertigung, das Essen selbst war aber gut.Gute Reiseleiterin.

Hele mooie excursie-dag. Heel veel gezien, heel veel indrukken. Heerlijke lunch. Jammer was het dat er een groot ongeluk gebeurde was, waar 5 ambulances aan te pas moesten komen en we daardoor een uur in de file gestaan hebben. Glazen plaat waar je ruim 500 meter boven de zeespiegel was indrukwekkend..

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The guide was wonderful and constantly kept us informed and educated of things around us. The driver was excellent, pulling over or slowing for photo opportunities or to look at places of interest. We managed to fit an incredible amount into one day without feeling rushed. Lunch at Porto Moniz was delicious; despite being crowded the service was efficient and food was tasty. The location of the restaurant was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

Le repas du soir n'est pas au top pour un 5 étoiles. Nous sommes arrivés dans une chambre qui sentait le moisi jusque dans les draps. Grâce à l'hôtesse de TUI, le lendemain nous avons eu une autre chambre. Depuis c'était tout à fait satisfaisant. La gentillesse du personnel nous a tout fait oublié.

Unser Ausflug fand an einem Regentag statt. Trotzdem hatten wir schöne Aussichten genießen können. Die Reiseleiterin Monika hat viele Informationen über Madeira und das Leben hier erzählt. Der Fahrer ist ein Meister seines Faches! Bei noch so großem Anstieg fühlten wir uns sicher. Das Mittagessen in Porto Moniz war ein übliches Anfertigen von Gruppen, hier ist noch Luft nach oben. Durch den Regen gab es einen Erdrutsch und unsere Reiserute wurde geändert. Insgesamt war es ein schönes Erlebnis.

The problem is using the TUI app is very confusing. You click on an excursion that you want come out. it’s goes back to the top of the page. Very frustrating. Also, you can only order some excursions with the TUI Rep and other book online Even though TUI are shown you all these excursions how are we meant to know where to order ? And when you go to meet the Rep make sure the Rep is sitting in a chair up against the wall so they can see Customer waiting 2 hours to sort out my two excursions ☹️

Bus 45 minutes late, picked up from a bus stop not hotel thought we got wrong place! A nearly full 55 seater coach arrived. 10 English guests the rest German, one said why are you speaking English, there are more Germans! The lunch was bad, instead of seating the English on 1 table we were spread around 1 German got up and left without eat!ing. More interested in selling photos! Fish came, 10 mins later chips came! Never saw any waterfalls! Told they couldn’t park I think they ran out of time!

every thing was fine we meet a taxi that took us to meat the mane tour coach the trip its self was fine after the trip we where dropped and left to meet the taxi to return us to the original pickup point that taxi didnt turn up we where left to make our own way back to the original pickup point we caurt the servis bus this needs looking at so other people are not left abandoned

Die Fahrt war sehr angenehm. Die Reiseleitung sehr informativ und auch sehr unterhaltsam. Der Service im Restaurant und das Essen waren ebenfalls gut.Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Ausflug. Es hat sich gelohnt.

Das Wetter war richtig Klasse und die Orte sind wunderbar. Tolle Panoramaaussichten plus natürlicherweise wunderschöne Landschaften. Die Guidemitarbeiter und der Busfahrer runden das Ganze richtig ab.
