Wat te verwachten
De mythen van Cyprus komen tot leven op deze tour. Je ziet waar een legende werd geboren, bezoekt de ruïnes van Kourion en kijkt rond in Omodos. En je sluit de dag af met een proeverij in een door een familie gerunde wijnmakerij. Eva, een van onze lokale gidsen, zegt over deze excursie: "Je wandelt door lagen van geschiedenis, cultuur en mythologie, en komt meer te weten over Aphrodite, de godin van de liefde. De rituelen die met haar verbonden zijn, evenals de planten en schelpen die met haar in verband worden gebracht."Je duikt rechtstreeks het verleden in om Petra tou Romiou te zien, een rotsformatie in zee waar, volgens de lokale legende, de godin Aphrodite werd geboren. Het verleden krijgt een tastbaarder vorm in Kourion, een van de indrukwekkendste archeologische sites van Cyprus. Je bezoekt de Romeinse baden en wandelt naar het middelpunt, het Grieks-Romeinse theater. Het wordt nog steeds gebruikt voor concerten. Daarna bekijk je het kasteel Kolossi dat vanaf de 14e eeuw in bezit was de Tempeliers.De lunch is in een familierestaurant. Het is even beroemd om zijn streekgerechten met ingrediënten uit de omgeving als om zijn schilderachtige ligging in de heuvels. Daarna heb je tijd om rond te kuieren in het bergdorp Omodos, door zijn smalle geplaveide straten omzoomd met Byzantijnse gebouwen. En dan rond je de dag af met een bezoek aan de wijnmakerij. Hier proef je hun bekroonde wijnen, waaronder de commandaria variëteit, die door Richard Leeuwenhart werd gedoopt als de 'wijn der koningen en de koning der wijnen'.

A little disappointed with the winery experience. Have had much better experience at previous tasting events. This one seemed to be rushed and had too many people at it. Over 60 people does not allow the owner to involve anyone e in the experience and allow for descent sampling

Our guide Nef was brilliant. Her knowledge and history of cyprus was amazing. She was very caring and made sure everyone was OK and included. Our coach driver Stefan was great. This trip was very good value.

We found the lunch was a long drive out and was not very nice. It would have been better to maybe have lunch at the winery and experience the wines with food or eat within the small towne we visited with the monestrory We didn't get much time there at all which was a shame

Good variety of excursion destinations for the day. Interesting archaeological sites, excellent lunch venue & food quality and fun wine tasting. Coach journey was quite prolonged though but I guess that isn't possible to change!!! The guide did have a very monotone, unentertaining, humourless method of delivery but she did get a lot of info across.

You did not include visit to st Barnabas' church, and it was very close. Because of this saint, Cyprus' church is autocephalous. And al tours excluded Larnaca with st Lazarus. There are two huge personalities and we did not have the chance to see them. We are very sad because of that

Uns wurde die Tour von ihrer mitarbeiterin als fakilienfreundlich verkauft. Leider mussten wir uns von der reiselriterin abhören, dass unser Baby stört und wir uns in hinteren Teil des Busses aufhalten sollen. Das fanden wir nicht so schön. Und noch unschönen war, dass wir nach dem Verlust unserer Tasche keinen Kontakt zum busunternehmen bekamen, um unbürokratisch die Sachen eiederzubekomm. Die Sachen haben wir bis heute nicht und wir warten.... man möge sich vorstellen, es wäre etwas wert.

The tour was very good overall and the day was well planned out. The value for money was great, especially including the food and drinks. One minor note is that longer could have been spent at Kourion and less time in the village at the end of the tour. Our guide was very nice to us and knowledgeable but she was at times unprofessional in expressing her opinions of other guests. Our driver was fantastic throughout.

This was a full event and was scheduled very well. Very little to report as negative apart from how the food was served, as individual items and very little input on what we were about to have. Also no effort was made to offer any table additional water, which was not great given the temperature on the day. Our rep, Andrea, was very active and full of information, which was wonderful.

Although we really enjoyed the trip it was lovely to see the ruins amphitheatre etc the guide was very knowledgeable talking to us throughout the journey the mountains were spectacular all in all a great day a change from sunbathing just felt it was a bit overpriced

The kilossi castle and winery tour. Was visiting the castle then 1hour drive to a village family restaurant then another 59 mins to 1 hour to winery, then another hour to another village for a 45 minutes free time. I think it would of been much nicer to do castle then winery then to the last village to eat and have free time visiting the shops and restaurants.

The guide was knowledgeable (Andreana I think). But sometimes went on too long about less interesting stuff. Lunch was enjoyable and they catered to my dietary needs/allergies. It was traditional fare, loads of it too! Would have been nice to get closer to Aph. rock. Not much to do in village stop. Wine tasting guy went on too long, boring. Overall I enjoyed the day but feel like more history sites could have been squeezed in. I feel it was overpriced however. Older kid enjoyed it, Younger not.

Pani przewodnik super. Ruiny Kurionu owszem fajne miejsce . Warto zobaczyć ale zdecydowanie w Parku Archeoligicznym w Pafos wiecej do zobaczenia -zachowane mozaiki przepiekne. Tutaj zabytek broni sie położeniem na skarpie z pieknym widokiem na morze.

Guide was very informative, we enjoyed the ruins and castle and also Omodas and the winery. We didn't enjoy the lunch experience unfortunately. You were sat at tables of 10 with others and had to pass food around on serving platters between yourselves, all just felt awkward and not our thing. I would suggest scrapping lunch stop and letting people have more time in Omodas to buy their own and finish with winery. Enjoyable day but overall wouldn't do again. Saw some lovely Cypriot scenery!

The guide was very knowledgeable and passed on her information in a friendly and professional manner. The meal at the Taverna was excellent. The bus got stuck on the steep winding road and we had to walk the short distance to the Taverna, but the driver quickly resolved the issue and joined us shortly afterwards.

An excellent day with some great experiences. Our guide Adrianna was very informative of the local sights and history. Also a shout out to Stefan our driver, not sure how he got a coach around some of those tiny roads. Lunch was amazing and well organised with wine provided. As with all day tours limited free time to explore but well worth doing this tour as lots packed in and not too long on the coach travelling.

We enjoyed all of the excursion. A great mis of different places to visit. Just the right amount of time at each stop. The winery was excellent, the owner was as informative, but not boring. He wasn’t pushing sales, but everyone seemed to buy something, as the quality and prices were good. Loved the monastery stop. Lunch was as good. Our tour guide Neff was really good at her job and so was our driver. Would definitely recommend to others.

A fantastic day! Theo(driver) and Alexi(guide) made us feel welcome and a good bit of banter was had by all. The tour was nearly 10 hours in total, I was first on and last off 😉, but the day was thoroughluy enjoyable. Full of history and facts through out the day anf plenty of photo opportunities. Very informal but informative and I highly recommend it. I do not want to give away any spoilers, so if you want to see a bit to Cyprus, give it a go 👌

I was with a group of elderly women who needed extra care and attention. This had not always been provided, Good historical information provided by the guide but care should be taken when referring to migrants from.different countries into Cyprus. It was offensive to hear her describe that migrants from Africa were all refugees, when Africa is a whole continent of 55 countries, it would have been better to name the particular country that the refugees were.coming from i.e. Somalia, Congo etc...

Mooie tour. Veel van land gezien. Eerst langs de kust daarna binnenland in. Gids vertelde uitgebreid over Cyprus. Legenden en Mythen over natuurlijk Aphrodite. De stops tussendoor voor bezienswaardigheden watren precies goed. Zaten daardoor niet lang in de bus. Alles ging precies op tijd. Was echt aantrekkelijke excursie. Enigste nadeel was misshien de wijnproeverij, aangezien wij dat niet lusten. We hebben wel meegedaan en er was er zelfs 1 bij die we lekker vonden.

Dziękujemy za wspaniałą historyczną wycieczkę po Cyprze! Jesteśmy zachwyceni całą podróżą. Przewodnik opowiadał bardzo ciekawie i z pasją — słuchało się go z ogromną przyjemnością. Było widać jego dużą wiedzę i miłość do historii. Dowiedzieliśmy się wielu nowych rzeczy i naprawdę świetnie spędziliśmy czas.Szczególnie zachwyciły nas przepiękne widoki — Cypr jest niesamowicie piękny, a każdy przystanek dostarczał niezapomnianych wrażeń i pięknych zdjęć.

We were picked up promptly at the time given to us for the trip. Both the amazing guide and driver were very friendly and guided really knowledgeable about all the place on the tour. We really enjoyed it all, but trying Cypriot food and the lovely village restaurant was in, was a plus for our holiday. Wine tasting, well...perfect from beginning to end, with a friendly host telling us about all his wines. The just over a hour village free time was also extremely pretty, quaint and different.

The knowledge of our guide was impeccable. Would have liked more time to explore by ourselves but realise that we wouldn't have seen all the places of interest. Food was lovely at lunchtime but my wife's vegetarian meal was very unimaginative and uninspiring. Felt safe with the coach driver.

The tour guide was absolutely brilliant (Nef) and was great Knowledgeable and friendly. Only down side was the coach smelt of smoke when we got back in each time. Not sure if he actually smoked in the coach or just lingered in. Disappointing.

Thought it was well organised with a very excellent guide who had lots of information for us at each place we visited - The bus was full on our visit so there was a big crowd and getting off the bus took a long time- often the guide had started speaking before we could join the group so we missed out on her talk! The same happened at the wine tasting visit, as we were among the last few to get off the bus, the talk had begun.We were at the back of the group and missed the introduction!

Excellent host, venues and drive. Very knowledgeable friendly and on time. Particularly enjoyed the guides knowledge and explanation of history. The wine visit was excellent as was the owner who explained wines in a friendly clear manner. Much recommended

Met gezin geweest, leeftijd kinderen 12 en 15 jaar. De reisgids was heel goed in vertellen over de mythe, historie wat we als fijn hebben ervaren. Uiteindelijk viel de rest mee in beleving voor ons ieder geval. De ruïnes en kasteel ben je zo doorheen en minder indrukwekkend dan verwachting. Voor kinderen minder leuk om te doen. Lunch viel tegen, al deed de gastheer zijn best om ons iets anders aan te bieden. Wel een goede excursie voor de wat oudere leeftijdsgroep.

We loved our mini day tour . The tour Tui guide Andrea and narrator was excellent , our driver Theo was professional and we loved our meal at the Taverna, very cultural . The monastery and wine tasting were exceptional must visit places . Thank you ! Highly recommend !
