Op deze halve dagtocht krijg je een goed beeld van de geschiedenis van de stad en de top highlights met een rit in een trolleytrein. The road train is a disappointing waste of time. Visibility from it is poor particularly for non window seats. The commentary was only in Spanish.. The two periods of free time in Tarragona should be reduced to one. Unfortunately the Roman aqueduct was not visited. The views of the amphitheatre were worthwhile. Also enjoyed seeing the human tower statue which could be reached in the free time. The guide, Teresa gave an amusing and interesting commentary during the bus rides

Teresa was very good and informative. The guided train around the town was terrible as it was just in Spanish so we had no idea what was being said. The amphitheatre was closed on a Monday - this should be on your website as we would have booked for another day. The museum was impossible to find! Overall a bad trip

I enjoyed the trip to Tarragona. The bus driver Oscar & our guide Teresa were fantastic & very knowledgeable. That being said, I was very disappointed as the only day offered for the trip to Tarragona by TUI is Mondays, the only day in which all the museums in Tarragona are shut. This meant we couldn’t get up to any of the attractions or visit the museums. I feel like this is something TUI guests should be made aware of before paying close to 100€ for 2 adults and a child.

Definitely kids friendly trip. My daughter is 7 and she loved all of it. The tram ride around the city, little streets and shops, charming statues and ofcourse the vue of arena and sea from panoramic terrace.

Coach was early and only a few stops to pick others up so ended up with extra time in Tarragona. Coach was nice and comfortable. Mike the rep was very good, lots of information and clear about meeting points. I went with my 2 teen daughters who also enjoyed the trip. It was the right amount of time to explore and eat before and after the tourist train. The train was a good way of seeing a bit more and the audio was in English and quite interesting. Train a bit squeaky and uncomfortable.

I highly recommend the trip. Tarragona us a very beautiful city. Half day is just enough to visit it during the hot season. Our guide Teacy was very helpful and I really enjoyed the trip. It's a good trip if you have a child and don't want to go Barcelona for a day. Just perfect little trip.

We really enjoyed the trip to Tarragona, however we would have liked more time to shop and go and see the sights. Having to get the bus back at 1 o clock was too rushed. We could have spent another 2 hours exploring the city on our own. Our guide Michael was very informative, and extremely polite and his communication skills were excellent. The McCrory family.

Guide was excellent and v informative. Tui rep at our hotel (Best Oasis) was also very helpful in providing advance information about the trip. Especially enjoyed the tourist train trip. Would have liked a little more free time after the tourist train in order to return to some of the sights seen while on the train. Would recommend this trip.

Great half day trip, on arrival you have 30 mins free time for a coffee. Then on to the tourist train for a drive around the Port and through the busy shopping area before going through the Roman side streets. The train trolley tour lasts about 50 minutes then you have free time until the pick up at 1pm. Not too much travelling time on the bus, would highly recommend this experience

The tour guides greeting was very welcoming. The bus left on time driven by a careful driver. The guide (Teresa) provided a very clear and detailed account of the area making it interesting and informative. The trolley train was well worth the one hour journey and the free time to spend in Taragona was just perfect for me. In my opinion the excursion itself was excellent. However, when booking I found the timing of 2-4 hours confusing. The TUI rep at the hotel was unable to clarify. It was 4.5hr

The only day you could take the tour was a Monday we were so looking forward to visiting the museums and roman ruins and amphitheatre. These were all shut on MONDAYS so why organised a tour of the city on this date , when we said to the tour guide she said she new this , the mini road train ride included took us to the old city for 20mins then there other 40 mins was round random areas of the city not beside all the ancient ruins of buildings so again was a wasted hour, so disappointed :-(

Beautiful town to go to, lovely little shops and cafes. However, what is not told is that the amphitheatre is closed on a Mondays so you can only see it from afar and the train just goes up and down streets, there is no audio guide so looking round aimlessly with no clue where you are. Teresa was lovely and full of knowledge.

When booking was not told by rep that roman ruins were not open on a Monday so could not go in them. Trolley bus was okay but again no information as there are road works so take a different route which keeps changing so we could not have a commentary

All attractions closed on a Monday! Train is awful can't see if sitting on the inside seats! No information of were we were going or description of the aera! Whole trip wea a disaster and not worth the 60 + euro we paid. Will go on trip adviser and tell people not to book!

When we booked this excursion it was listed as a guided tour. The only but of information given was when to be where to catch to trailer-train and the bus home. On the trailer-train ride there was no information whatsoever. Just driving around the back streets of the city. There was however some factoids of what we could have seen if the cathedral was open. But the was on the journey back to the hotel

No Audio & no commentary by T. (TUI Rep) who said, due to revised Itinerary of Trolley Tr, Original audio would not synchronise. T. sat with us, yet made no effort to tell us names of parts of Tarragona the Trolley Tr was going through -very disappointed. At end of Train ride, T. told us we could walk to Cathedral. We had passed it on Trolley Tr, but as it was NOT pointed out then, it was too late to take a photo of it. Some input by Tracey on out & return Coach, but nothing on Trolley Train.

This trip was my first experience of a solo traveller and was a little nervous. The guide Mike was fantastic and gave us great insights into Tarragona on the bus and just prior to the train trip. My only concern about safety was on the train as a few people's doors accidentally opened by accident. I thought it was a well planned trip with enough time to see the cathedral and monument before travelling back. Really fabulous city and glad I booked the trip.

Mike was an excellent guide striking the balance just right with information without overloading you. The pick up/drop off was very easy for us, right from our hotel. Would have been good to have a commentary on the train part of the tour as you didn't know what you were seeing

I really enjoyed this experience. Bus driver was great, safe journey and quicker than expected. The guide was brilliant; lovely lady, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. The little train in Tarragona was a great way to see everything in a short time and included in the price. There is some free time to explore by yourself until 1pm. I personally would have liked longer because there is so much to see.

This was our 2nd trip to Tarragona organised by TUI as we enjoyed it so much. It is a very relaxed and everything of interest is within close proximity. You also get free time to explore on your own. The landtrain takes you to places you might not of known about visiting solo. Excellent guide who made it an enjoyable morming out. Sadly, wished it was longer.

The road train was a good way of seeing the city higjlights quickly. . The tarragona ramblas was a beautiful area to walk in the sun. . Tarragona is a beautiful place, really enjoyed the trip. I would recommend seeing as much of the old town as possible. I managed to get around the cathedral in the spare time I had but it was a bit rushed. Little sightseeing train was good although quite squashed in! Tracey was a brilliant guide and told interesting stories on the way there and back. Thanks for a great morning out.

It was not too far to travel. Plenty of places to eat and places to rest in the shade. Very clean and locals were very helpful and friendly. Would like to go back to experience an evening in Tarragona. The train ride gave us a view of the harbour and surrounding areas. Teresa our guide was very informative, friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Guide Theresa was brilliant, funny and informative. But the overall value was not great. Felt like we paid for a glorified bus ticket to Tarragona. No Audio guides on the tourist train, all sites closed on Mondays, perhaps a group lunch or coffee break. Once we got there everyone did their own thing and no one mingled. Went on a Monday when all the sites were closed which was no good, a map to guide you around would have been handy

A lovely day but it is what you make it. We had some time to wander before the tourist train ride. Our Tui guide gave us directions and information about cafes and shops and the market. The train ride was great and had audio info which I found very interesting. Not all of the audio devices worked but most people took the initiative to share. We then had a few hours to wander again and we were able to find the shopping centre and explore. I would recommend this fun little trip.

The trip was great. Plenty to see and do. The land train was good although we sat in the front seats behind the driver and I'd recommend sitting a bit further back. The guide was not that great. He was knowledgeable but you got the feeling he was just going through the motions.

We thought the tourist train was a bit of a waste of time and money, theres no guide on it and a lot of the tour is close up to the walls so you don’t see too much anyway, the rest is just being pull around in a trailer. Its not actually a train but a tractor that looks like a train. The guide for the rest was very knowledgeable, humerus and friendly, overall a very efficient experience but for half a day I would skip the tourist train.

The tui coach and rep were reliable and she explained what we could see around us on the way to tarragona. Once there and on the tour there was no explanation of anything we were looking at just drove around for half an hour, then left to go walk about. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Tarragona itself is a beautiful place, however we went on a Monday, when pretty much all museums/places of interest were closed! I believe the Cathedral was open, but with only having half a day, there wasn’t time to see it. Make sure to book this on any day apart from a Monday.
