Ontdek de Vallei der Koningen, de tempel van Hatsjepsoet en de Nijl aan boord van een traditionele Egyptische houten boot tijdens deze zes uur durende rondleiding onder begeleiding van een egyptoloog.Vanaf de ontmoeting met je gids rij je naar de westelijke oever van Luxor om de Vallei der Koningen te bezoeken. U leert waarom deze vallei ooit de ‘Poorten van de Koningen' of de ‘Plaats van de Waarheid' werd genoemd en maakt kennis met de machtige koningen die daar ooit in stenen sarcofagen lagen te wachten op onsterfelijkheid, waaronder Toetanchamon. Vervolgens verkent u de tempel van Hatsjepsoet, die buiten de woestijn oprijst, en hoort u hoe in 1876 de grootste mummievondst uit de geschiedenis werd gedaan. Vervolgens, voordat je de Nijl oversteekt naar de oostelijke oever van Luxor, maak je een tussenstop bij twee 60-foot stenen beelden die al meer dan 3.000 jaar staan. Daarna kun je een uurtje relaxen aan boord van de felucca terwijl je over de Nijl vaart en de stad Luxor bewondert.

Our tour giude, Magda, demonstrated an exceptional passion for her job and this was reflected in the knowledge she imparted to us. I didn’t like going to the alabaster workshop as I was pressured to buy from the shop. The Valley of the kings was great as was Hatshepsuts temple, but the Colossai were not impressive.

This was a fantastic trip with a great guide Mohammad , although the Valley of the Kings was very busy we still got to see some amazing tombs. The only fly in the ointment was the trip to the alabaster workshop , we felt pressured to buy. I would ask your guide to avoid it if possible.

I had read reviews that mentioned customers had been disappointed that there was no felucca cruise. Our guide also wasn't aware that this was included so I suggest this is always clarified at the start. Our excellent guide Mohamed tailored the programme to our wishes so we skipped the alabaster workshop visit and enjoyed the felucca trip instead. He expertly navigated us through the crowds at the Valley of the Kings and provided an informative and entertaining narrative. Thank you Mohamed! :)

The trip was well organised with a good, well read guide. However, we did not have a felucca ride as expected. The details provided to us when I booked, did clearly say the felucca ride was included. I would have made a complaint immediately but had no WiFi available to me.

Very enjoyable and interesting trip. The felucca cruise was the only disappointment due to the lack of wind and it would have been better simply to cross the river by boat.

Ikram our guide was first class and explained everything that we need to know on the way, so we could understand what we were looking at when we got to Valley of the Kings etc. the boat ride was again really good.. would fully recommend at this tour.. the mini bus driver was great as well literally door to door at all of the sights.
