Tijdens deze tour neem je een duik in de Egyptische geschiedenis en het eeuwige verhaal van het oude Luxor. De Egyptische stad staat bekend als één van de grootste openluchtmusea van de wereld. Wist je dat de oude Egyptenaren hun enorme monumenten bouwden met behulp van supernauwkeurige technieken en wiskunde?Tijdens deze semi-privétour voor kleine groepen van maximaal 8 personen ervaar je de belangrijkste schatten van Luxor. Je bekijkt onder meer de Karnak-tempel, de Vallei der Koningen, de Hatsjepsoet-tempel en de gigantische Kolossen van Memnon. Dit alles zie je in slechts één dag en er zit ook nog eens een smakelijke lunch in een comfortabel 5-sterrenhotel bij in.Je vertrekt vroeg in de ochtend vanuit Hurghada en omgeving in Makdai Bay, Soma Bay, Sahl Hashish, El Gouna, Safaga en Kalawy Bay, en je reist via de Rode Zee-bergen naar Luxor. We maken een stop zodat je ontbijt voordat je je eerste bezienswaardigheid ontdekt: de indrukwekkende Karnak-tempel, een uitgestrekt complex van enorme hoge tempels. Daarna geniet je van een lunch (vast menu) voordat we met een motorboot de Nijl oversteken naar de Vallei der Koningen. Bij de Vallei bezoek je drie van de 63 koninklijke tombes. Daarna bewonder je de oude dodentempel van Hatsjepsoet en de indrukwekkende Kolossen van Memnon. Verwacht een dag vol tempels, graven en monumenten die je meenemen door duizenden jaren geschiedenis.

Unser Guide Hesham hat uns auf der Hinfahrt sehr gut über Grundlegendes zu Ägypten informiert, war bei den Führungen sachkundig und hat dafür gesorgt, dass Fakten bei uns hängenblieben. Lediglich die Anreise von Hurghada hat mit einer Reisezeit (incl. zentralem Touristenmaut-center und Frühstückspause ) von 5 Stunden meine Stimmung etwas belastet, aber Luxor an sich ist auf jeden Fall sehenswert.

Die Luxor-Tour in der Kleingruppe ist sehr zu empfehlen. Der Guide kann so individueller auf Fragen eingehen und man ist flexibler als mit einer großen Gruppe. Die Attraktionen waren gut ausgewählt und ich habe mich auf der ganzen Tour sicher gefühlt.

The day included visits to many individual sites which was fantastic and was manageable from an overall duration perspective. Tour guide was fantastic and did a great job of answering our questions and looking after us. I tend to think however that more could have been done to structure the limited time we had at each site so it was spent well. For example, when we have free time to explore a site, guidance on aspects to prioritise.

It’s a long day but so worth it! We were picked up from our hotel with no problems. Our tour guide Reda was very informative and friendly - was very glad we had him! Our drivers George and Ashraf were good drivers and very funny. We felt very safe the whole day and didn’t get hassled as much as we thought! We did this in April (winter in Egypt) and it was around 28 degrees during the trip - wasn’t too hot but at the VOK the tombs were a bit toasty! Although lunch is provided - bring snacks!

Opas oli ehkä liiankin innokas ja puhelias, kohteet oli OK ja ruoka ihan syötävää. Venematka turha. Viimeinen käynti käsityöläis”perheen” luona oli epämiellyttävä, tuputtaminen ja pakkomyynti ei ollut mukavaa… tästä jäi huono maku… Myös aikataulun kertominen olisi ollut mukavaa, hyvä että retki päättyi etuajassa.

Einzig der Stop an einem Souveniershop (mit Tui Schild) für angäblich handgefertigte Steinkunst, war entbehrlich. Man fühlte sich doch leicht dazu genötigt, hier etwas zu kaufen, weil einem gratis Getränke aufgedrängt wurden. Zudem gab es keine Preisauszeichnung an den Produkten, man musste jeden Preis erfragen und feilschen, was letzlich dazu geführt hat, dass man gefühlt, über den Tisch gezogen wurde. Ansonsten war aber alles Top!

Fantastische dag van begin tot einde! Genoten van de prachtige tempels, de boottocht,… Was een eindje rijden maar meer dan de moeite waard! Bovendien een heel goede gids die voldoende info voorzag en ons in de watten legde van begin tot einde van de uitstap.

De excursie was goed. Voor ons was het bezoek aan de Albastra fabriek geen meerwaarde en mocht er wat meer tijd geweest zijn in de Vallei der Koningen. Wij hadden graag het graf van Toetanchamon er ook bij bezocht, maar daar was geen tijd meer voor. De gids Mohammed deed zijn best in het Nederlands. De excursie is zeker een aanrader.

This trip exceeded every expectation. Safety 100% I never felt anything but comfortable. Our two drivers were always on time and got us everywhere without a single issue. Tour guide Mohamed was the heart of the trip — incredibly knowledgeable, kind and funny, bringing history to life in a way no guidebook could. The staff excellent, hotel well run , the Blur Marina needs some updating. The bar area possible softer background music. . The main restaurant possibly an adult only area as could be very noisy with all the families at times when just wanting a relaxing meal. Loved the food intolerance form which could be used at every eatery so chefs could advise on what could be eaten. Possible offer a room with time slots for late departures .

Had to do this trip. It's a long day but certainly worthwhile. I don't think I could have come to Egypt without visiting this place. George our guide was top notch and very informative. It's a must do but only if it interests you. Otherwise it could be a bit of an endurance.

The tour guide understood what we wanted and kept us engaged with the day. The staff kept suppling us and with water which was amazing as it was hot and a long day. I felt so comfortable with the guide and he was genuine, honest man and looked after us well. The only bad points was the coach being as uncomfortable to sleep on and felt we needed more time in the valley of the kings.

Mohammed was an excellent guide, everything pitched just right, very polite, attentive and courteous. Mustaffa was an excellent driver , taking care over bumps and potholes. The day was perfect, excellent value for money . Can’t recommend the trip to Luxor enough .The 3 course meal on the River Nile restaurant boat was unexpected and just perfect . Karnak temple and the Valley of the Kings were amazing and the communication between guide and driver was very efficient, we were never left waiting.

Guide hatte es sehr eilig, die Tour zu beenden und war vermutlich auch recht geschäftstüchtig. Also besser die Preise für AddOn-Angebote (Souvenirs etc.) erst hinterfragen. Das ist sicher abh. von der jeweiligen Person und nicht allgemein gültig. In der vorgesehenen Zeit hätte man evtl. noch etwas mehr Ruhe oder Info haben können. Dafür waren wir etwa 2 Std früher im Hotel zurück....

Toive olisi, että vaikka 24 h etukäteen lähetettäisiin jonkinlaisia "shoppailutärppejä" tai esittelyjä etukäteen että minkä tyyppisiä tuotteita näissä käyntikohteissa tehdään, esitellään ja myydään, että voi ostaa niitä "parempia" matkamuistoja ja tarpeellisia tuotteita jotka tuovat sikäläisille työtä ja toimeentuloa. Myös joihinkin luotettaviin avustuskohteisiin olisi kiva noilla reissuilla antaa rahaa jos sellaisia löytyisi.

Die ganze Tour, Reiseleiter, Fahrer und die angerfahrenen Ziele wie Tempel und Gräber waren sehr schön und vom Reiseleiter gut erklärt. Weniger gut war die Zeit zum Mittagessen, innerhalb von knapp 20 Minuten Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert, war eine Massenabfertigung am Fließband, da konnte man nur alles runterschlingen. Dafür etwas mehr Zeit und lieber keinen Aufenthalt bei dieser Steinmetzfirma. Und wir warenca. 4 Stunden eher wieder zurück wie ursprünglich angekündigt.

Leider hat die Tour in einem Minivan stattgefunden. Menschen über 1,75m konnten darin nicht sitzen. Einem weiterer Gast konnte die Beine auf der Rückbank ablegen, ich hatte einen Einzelsitz und konnte beide Beine nur im Mittelgang abstellen, da der Abstand zum Vordersitz zu gering war. Hierdurch war anschnallen nicht möglich. Zum Ende der Tour wurde entgegen der Beschreibung ribe Alabaster-Werkstatt mit Verkaufstour angesteuert. Ich bin dort nicht rein und musste 1 Std in der Sonne warten

Rekommenderar verkligen denna tur. Smidigt med mindre sällskap vid dessa sevärdheter. Innehållsmässigt saknades inte mycket. Lunchen vid Nilen var trevlig, men lite stressig. Skulle föredragit en kopp kaffe framför den glass som gav magproblem. Båtresan pricken över i. Kunnig och engagerad guide. Minus: Skulle önskat tydligare information om innehåll, mattider, upphämtning mm i förväg, fick ägna dagen innan åt att jaga information. Råd till alla: Ta kaffe på första stoppet, det är enda chansen!

Our guide was exceptional good and certainly enhanced the whole experience. One of the drivers was keen to get in the boot of the cars in front, and we don't like drivers using their mobile phones. The meal at the hotel could have been a little better as the meat had dried out. Getting on the boat was not easy for my 80 year old sister. Our hotel packed breakfast was dry. No butter on the rolls. A croissant is not suitable for a packed meal like this. Apart from the above, very good.

Er zijn stevige prijsverschillen om deze excursie te boeken, dat viel ons tegen toen wij andere mensen te spreken kwamen.. De reisgids sprak erg netjes Nederlands en was enthousiast aan het vertellen. Tot in de puntjes geregeld en het liep goed door, bleven op de plekken niet te lang treuzelen en anders was het in overleg om langer op een plek te blijven. De lunch in het 5sterren hotel was fantastisch! Mooie plek, goed eten en vriendelijk personeel. Zeker een aanrader!

Väldigt bra programpunkter förutom det inlagda besöket på en alabasteraffär. Den tog onödigt lång tid och fanns inte beskrivd vid bokningen. Ett ofrivilligt besök. Mer tid hade kunnat läggas på de övriga besöken som nu blev lite rushade. Bussen upplevdes obekväm både vad gällde sittkomfort och luftens kvalité och temperatur.

Excellent communication throughout. Drivers and guide were very good. Well organised however lunch was a bit rushed. Didn’t see the point of the stop at the Alabaster factory which was a bit of a hard sell. Loved the Egyptian cultural visits to the 3 sites. Wondered why the Tutankhamen tomb was not included in price. Overall apart from a tiring early start and long drive there and back this was an excellent experience.

Päivä Luxorissa oli todellakin hintansa arvoinen. Hienosti järjestetty. Opas nimeltään Momen oli todella asiantunteva, innostunut ja ystävällinen. Myös kaikki liikkuminen ja kulkeminen oli turvallista. Ylitti kaikki odotuksemme. Aikainen aamuherääminen kannatti.

We werden om 3.30 opgehaald met een taxi, naar een punt waarbij we met een busje verder gingen. Die tijden sloten helemaal niet aan, waardoor we een uur verspilden (ik had graag een uur langer in bed doorgebracht…). De chauffeurs waren allemaal bekwaam en vriendelijk. Er wordt wel erg hard gereden. De gids wist veel en was erg aardig en behulpzaam, maar voor mij niet altijd goed te volgen. Je loopt over de koppen bij de bezienswaardigheden, maar zeker de moeite waard om gezien te hebben.

Matkaa varatessa emme saaneet TUIlta kuin väärän linkin, josta kysellä varausvahvistusta, joka ei tullut 24h ennen matkaa, niin kuin oli luvattu. Lopulta pitkän selvittelyn jälkeen saimme vahvistuksen todella myöhään, siinä retkelle lähtöaika olikin aikaisemmin kuin mitä TUI meille ilmoitti, ja aivan eri sähköpostiosoite retken järjestäjälle.

Alles in allem ein interessanter Ausflug. Die Alabaster-"Fabrik" hätten wir nicht gebraucht. Da auch andere deutschsprachige Reisegruppen unterwegs waren, konnte man beim hinhören feststellen, dass wohl unser Reiseführer eine andere Interpretation der ägyptischen Geschichte hat. Ob er mehr weiß oder es nur Übersetzungsfehler waren bleibt offen.

Mahtava matka, ehdottomasti koettava! Teimme Luxorin matkamme tammikuussa. Päivälämpö oli optimaalinen mutta Luxorissa olisi ollut vaaleista vaatteista hyötyä: varjoa ei juurikaan. Bussimatkalla menomatkalla aavikolla pysähdyttäessä oli järkyttävän kylmä, muutama plus-aste. Takki pipoa myöten olisi ollut ehdoton! Oppaamme "George" oli huikea! Englannin kielestä oli välillä haastava saada selvää mutta informaatio ja presentaatio oli todella hyvää. 10+ Kahvitauko iltapäivällä oli miinus.

Wir hatten eine tolle Tour nach Karnak und Luxor. Unser Guide war sehr informativ und achtete sehr gut auf unsere Gruppe. Es war nie hektisch und wir hatten ausreichend Zeit die Sehenswürdigen anzuschauen.
Das Mittagessen hatten wir im Iberotel in Luxor. Hier war das Essen gut.

Die Tour war der Hammer. Wir haben viel über die Geschichte von Ägypten erfahren .Unser Führer war erstklassig .Er hat uns geduldig all unsere Fragen beantwortet und war immer für einen Spaß zu haben. Wir waren das erste Mal in Ägypten, und konnten nur noch Wow sagen. Tolle Tour und jederzeit wieder.

The temples and tombs were fabulous and Hassan was a friendly and attentive guide. As it was a day trip we did expect to feel a bit rushed and that was certainly the case. Disappointingly though, a big reason for the rush was the insistence on visiting an alabaster shop. This was clearly nothing other than a blatant pitch to relieve us of more money, having already paid a premium for the tour. It was unnecessary, added nothing and left me wishing we could have had more time elsewhere

This is a truely wonderful experience. It is a very long day with a lot packed in and definitely worth the money. You get to see both temples and tombs and the guide is very knowledgeable and imparts lots of interesting information whilst showing you around and then gives time to look around at your own pace. The lunch is lovely although a little rushed. The afternoon was slightly rushed, it would have been nice to have a little more time to look about the valley of Kings. Overall fabulous.

Der Zeitdruck war bei meinem Ausflug enorm. Ich habe zwar alles gesehen was auf dem Program stand, dafür waren für Fotos, bis auf 20min, keine Zeit und ich musste aufpassen den Anschluss nicht zu verlieren. Das Essen war unterer Standart und der Service Fliesbandarbeit. Dafür war ich schon um 18uhr wieder im Hotel. Mit 2 Std mehr Zeit würde es alles entspannter laufen und mit viel weniger Druck. Der Guide war super, hat viel erklärt und konnte auf Fragen antworten.

Der Führer hatte sehr viel Wissenswertes im Gepäck. Abfahrt im Hotel war um 4:00 Uhr morgens, das stand nicht in der Beschreibung, die Info bekommt man erst nach der Buchung. Mittagsessen im 5 Sterne Hotel war gerade so mal einen Stern wert. Überall auf der Tur wird man gedrängelt Trinkgeld zu geben, bis ins Absurde. Der Karnak Tempel war sehenswert, den Rest kann man sich sparen. Würde die Tur nicht noch mal machen.

We booked the luxor tour we you and was told we would get an extra 20% off witch we didn't get on line so that was misleading and the tour guide didn't want to tell us that we had to book for breakfast with reception the day before. So we went hungry and no food till lunch time. The trip it's self was fantastic but a very long day with only a small set menu lunch. Only Just made it back for dinner. Hotel staff outstanding and will be going back to the hotel again infuture

The trip to the valley of the kings was very rushed. Only had chance to see two tombs. But we then went to see an alabaster factory which was really just a hard sell to buy stuff and a waste of time that would be better spent at the valley of the kings. I didn’t pay £140 to sit in a shop feeling uncomfortable and feeling pressurised to buy some stuff. The rest of the tour was great, this hard sell let it down and soured the experience.

Politik hat bei einer Sightseeing Tour nix verloren, seinen politischen Vortrag hätte der Guide sich bei der Hinfahrt sparen können. Ansonsten war es OK. Das übliche Einfordern (nicht bitten!!) um Trinkgeld wird immer schlimmer und vor allem aufdringlicher. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind aber TOP.

Tolle Route, beeindruckende Sehenswürdigkeiten, sehr guter Guide und Fahrer. Karnak & Tal der Könige waren fantastisch, hier hätte ich mir etwas mehr Zeit gewünscht. Leider wurden die Kolosse von Memnon nur im Vorbeifahren gezeigt, obwohl sie als Stopp angekündigt waren. Stattdessen ging es lange in ein Alabaster-Geschäft. Insgesamt aber eine sehr schöne Tour.

Our Luxor tour with TUI/Travco was unforgettable. With Reda as our guide — warm, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable — the day felt like exploring ancient Egypt with a friend. We loved Karnak Temple, the Nile crossing, the Valley of the Kings, and the beautiful Hatshepsut Temple. Even the alabaster workshop became a highlight thanks to the friendly atmosphere. Vendors can be a bit pushy in some areas, so keep your coins and tissues handy for toilets. A beautifully organised day full of history

The tour and the guide (Adel) were excellent.
It was indeed a small group (7 people) and this helped to keep the pace throughout the day.
The only thing I was unhappy about was the confirmation of pick-up time I have never received! I had to get my hotel to phone Travco directly and email support.

An outstanding experience, which relied as much on the capability of the guide as this world famous collection of monuments. The journey from Hurghada is of necessity long and the lunch was mediocre, but this experience was a must for anyone with an interest in human history.

Retki oli kokonaisuutena hieno ja onnistunut. Opas oli erittäin asiantunteva. Pitkän päivän aikana olisi ollut hyvä olla mahdollisuus ostaa välipalaa. Lounaspaikka oli pettymys. Kasvissyöjälle tuotiin iso lautasellinen ranskanperunoita, ylikypsää pastaa ja tomaattikastiketta.

Guide and drivers were amazing! Knowledgable efficient and ensured a very smooth running. Tui need to advise customers prior to the trip to take small change to pay for toilets all toilets during the trip require payment and change is not routinely given. Also take toilet paper as one sheet is distributed at time of payment.

Haithum our tour guide was amazing he made this trip so for our family we felt we come away with a friend. The whole day was full of magical places catered very well and did not feel rushed. A trip along the nile, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, karnack, stone museum and a lovely lunch and other stops along the way. Haithum was very knowledgeable and didn't stop the whole day. The drivers for the day Ahmed were amazing driving us around Luxor. 100% fantastic trip.
