Als vier steden in één is Colombo een grootse mix vanaf koloniale architectuur, groene cricket green en glanzende wolkenkrabbers. Terwijl je alle contrasten ontdekt, bezoek je de bruisende winkelwijk Pettah en de Britse monumenten vanaf het Fort, Galle Face en de Cinnamon Gardens - alle must-sees vanaf de hoofdstad vanaf Sri Lanka.Met talloze monumenten, musea en architecturale wonderen zit deze stadstour door Colombo boordevol. De Hele dag door zie je bezienswaardigheden zoals de boeddhistische Gangaramaya Tempel, de Wolvendaal Kerk en het indrukwekkende Onafhankelijkheidsplein. Je komt ook langs tal vanaf andere interessante plekken.Bezoek het Fort en de prachtige boulevards en gebouwen buiten de tijd vanaf de Britse overheersing. In Galle Face zie je kinderen cricket spelen op het strand en bekijk je de herenhuizen vanaf Cinnamon Gardens. De levendige wijk Pettah is beroemd om zijn bazaar en Nederlandse koloniale architectuur - koop wat souvenirs voordat je afsluit met uitzichten over de Indische Oceaan bij de Galle Face Green en het hotel.

The souvenir shop and the shopping mall were unnecessary and took one and a half hours. This time could be better spent.

An enjoyable day out. One of the guests suggested visiting the Lotus Tower which wasn’t included in the tour. We visited the Lotus Tower and the views were amazing. We had to pay the entrance fee which was fine. Well worth a visit and it is suggested that this is included in the tour.

Ce qu'on a le plus aimé : les 2 temples et le restaurant Ce qu'on a le moins aimé : la ballade sur le marché trop vite, on n'avait pas le temps de s'arrêter pour regarder, ensuite on reste longtemps au centre commercial où les prix et les magasins sont identiques à la Belgique, donc déçues par la journée passée en ville

Die Tour war sehr interessant schlecht war allerdings das man durch die getönten Scheiben des Busses schlecht Fotos machen konnte. Das Highlight war der Marktbesuch hier ist man wirklich mittendrin im Leben. Ich kann die Tour empfehlen. Ich werde allerdings nie wieder eine Tour über TUI buchen, man plant lange im vorraus und dann werden Ausflüge verschoben oder gestrichen. Ich habe viele enttäuschte Urlauber gesehen, das muss nicht sein.

Es war ein toller Tag. Wir würden die Tour auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen, man lernt viel über Colombo und sieht auch sehr viel. Der Guide hat sehr viel erzählt. Ich habe die Tour mit meinem 12jährigen Sohn gemacht... für kleinere Kinder ist es nichts das schnelle Spießrutenartige laufen zwischen Ständen und Verkehr und Menschenmassen. Aber dies ist nur ein Teil der Tour die Tempel waren sehr interessant auch die Skyline.

The best part of the tour was going up and seeing the views from the Lotus Tower. This wasn’t even mentioned in the itinerary. The meal was very nice too. We did see lots of sights and it was a lot of getting on and off the coach.

Very nice trip with our guide very knowledgeable who showed us everything we expected. A lovely day. Very nice lunch at a restaurant in the city. I can’t remember our guides name but a very nice man who was very friendly and polite.

the tour was very good but there is a bit too much time for shopping and not many shops so we had a bit of a wait until we had high tea. I think there should be more sights if you finish from shopping early

Die Abholung erfolgte pünktlich vom Hotel. Der Fahrer fuhr sicher und war sehr freundlich, sowie der Reiseleiter auch. Er zeigte und erklärte uns Colombo und beantwortete unsere Fragen. War ein schöner Ausflug den ich jederzeit wieder buchen würde.

Picked up from the hotel and taken back to the hotel by the same driver, on time. The sites were very enjoyable to the churches, buddhist and hindhu temples. A nice meal and good guide called Chinthaka who answered all my questions.

Enjoyed visiting the Buddhist temple and the Independence memorial. Lunch was excellent. Disappointed that we didn’t visit the fort, the Wolvendaal church or Galle Face and had no high tea.
