You'll trek through magical laurel forests in Queimadas and discover the emerald green landscapes that characterise Madeira.You'll set off on foot with your guide through Queimadas, and with nothing but nature and scenery before you, you're guaranteed pure serenity during this hike. We'll follow the Caldeirão Verde levada through a green paradise with laurel trees providing cool shade and the sun peeping through the treetops.Villages will appear dotted below in the lush green valleys and from here you'll catch your first glimpse of the Caldeirão Verde waterfall. You'll walk through short mountain tunnels and arrive at the majestic waterfall in a jungle-like setting.

Great

A great trip, we were warned to expect a strenuous hike and it certainly was; in excess of 5 hours by the time we finished. Our German guide was knowledgeable and friendly, but spoke limited English and since everyone else in the group was German it meant we missed out on a lot of information.
