Over de Baai van Kotor in Montenegro bestaan veel legendes. En je kijkt je ogen uit op het fjordachtige landschap, het glinsterende blauwe water en het ommuurde Kotor. Tijdens deze boottocht in de baai bezoek je het Onze Lieve Vrouwe van de Rotsen eiland, gevolgd door een bezoek aan Kotor stad. Ivana, een van onze deskundige lokale gidsen, zegt: "De lokale bewoners noemen de baai liefkozend Boka. Ze zijn erg trots dat de baai vanwege zijn natuurlijke, culturele en historische belang een plekje op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO heeft veroverd. Het gebied kent een sterke ambachtelijke traditie, en de steden staan bekend om hun mooie architectuur.”Na een rit langs de Dalmatische kust stap je op de boot. Je vaart naar de smalle Straat van Verige, waar de hele baai zich opent. En je snapt waarom de Baai van Kotor de beroemdste bestemming van Montenegro is. Je komt voorbij Perast, Stoliv en Prčanj en de eerste stop is het sprookjesachtige Onze Lieve Vrouwe van de Rotsen eiland, een van de favoriete attracties van Ivana. “Ik vind dit museum een van de leukste in de regio om toeristen rond te leiden,” zegt ze. 'De kerk is net een kunstgalerie en het museum bevat pareltjes zoals het borduurwerk van Jacinta Kunić.”Terug aan boord smul je van een lunch terwijl je naar Kotor vaart. Hier slenter je op je gemak door de middeleeuwse, ommuurde stad die vol staat met Venetiaanse paleizen. Bezoek de kathedraal van Kotor en zijn schatkamer en beklim de stadsmuren. Of struin rond op de lokale markt, waar je lokale specialiteiten zoals gerookte ham, schapenkaas en brandewijn op de kop kunt tikken.

Trip was long with only 1.5 hours out side of travelling. Should really say about border controll taking a long time. We went in oct so off peak and we were there an hour going out. And about 30 mins coming back. Kotor was lovely. Shame we only got hour in there.

I’m going to raise an official complaint re your advertising of this particular tour from hotel to hotel we were 15.5 hours in total. Border patrol & numerous pickups from leaving our hotel we were 6hrs 10mins to board the boat. No mention of any of this on your advertisement of trip. You need to be fair & transparent with your customers & you most certainly are not on this trip.you need to add a caveat as follows. AVERAGE TRIP TIME 14 to 18 HOURS depending on border control & traffic.

The main problem was the amount of time at Border Control, particularly leaving Croatia. We spent 2.5 hours in queue with only 2 disgusting portaloos. We had left our hotel at 6.15am and our first chance to get a drink and eat was at 11.00 am when we boarded the boat. There were no toilets on the return. The time in Kotor we felt was rushed. The positives were the two stops were very scenic and the fish meal on the boat was very good.

It was a very long day overall. The coach journey felt too long and tiring, and the border crossing took 3.5 hours on the way there and another hour on the way back, which made the day drag out even more. The trip itself was okay once we got there, but spending so much time on the coach really took away from the experience.

2h20 pour passer les douanes à l'aller et 1h au retour et en restant dans le car sauf pour aller à l'une des deux toilettes sèches uniquement en allant au Monténégro car ces dernières n'existent pas dans le sens Croatie. L'arrêt café après la douane Montenegrine supprimé pour prendre le bateau au pas de charge. La visite de Kotor en 75 mn ne permet pas d' en apprécier la beauté. Une excursion dans un car désuet dans ces conditions ne vaut pas le déplacement.

The guide was lovely and helpful. The boat was very uncomfortable with hard seats and too many people packed on it. Everyone was squashed together. The food was awful- we are veggie and had tomato, cucumber and hard cheese for starters which was dry and bland and mushroom pasta- we didn't stay for dessert. However the meat and fish option looked awful. Getting through customs took 3 hours in total there and back, so we only had 1.5 hours in kotor.

Trip was amazing well worth the money - Our Guide Andy was extremely rude and NOT a good ambassador for TUI - he stood outside our hotel not stating he was for the Montenegro trip just expected us to mind read!! Due to his lack of communication coach departed - thankfully TUI French lady rang and coach returned. Andy shouted stating didn’t tolerate lateness - made an example of us on coach to other passengers / he was also very rude to his coach driver on more than one occasion - Arrogant!!

Scenery along Fjord was beath taking. Had to change coaches on a busy road. At quay destination had a long walk to actual quay but guide walk off ahead without check all group. Boat was late owing to picking up 6 locals so late getting to island. Chapel was very busy so waited in hot sun. German tour guide pushed in front so we waited longer and were late getting back to boat. Meal was dried up and inedible because of delay. Guide marched off before passengers off boat. No guide round Kotor

Enjoyed the boat ferry and especially the food. The visit to the Church was good but it was very crowded and therefore everything seemed rushed. Kotor itself was lovely - wished we could have had more time there. It’s a long day, especially when factoring in the boarder crossings and no toilet available

Très cher pour cette excursion , guide gentille mais ne donne aucun intérêt à la visite raconte des anecdotes concernant sa vie privée aucun intérêt pour la visite. Visite de l'église aucun intérêt avec un monde fou il serait de mettre des jauges pour éviter le tourisme de masse et le piège à touristes. Pas assez de temps libre.

Une guide rmtres gentille mais qui nous raconte trop sa vie, tres peu d explications. La visite de l eglise notre dame du rocher est une horreur, perte de temps car trop de monde, on a le temps de rien. Arrivée sur montenegro trop peu de temps pour visiter nous pouvons meme pas faire les visites comme les remparts car pas assez de temps. C est un vrai piege a touriste. Pour visiter des boutiques a souvenirs etvde faux pour le prix c est une belle arnaque. Et l eau payante sur le bateau une honte

The overall experience was good. The visit to the Lady of the Isle however was chaotic. Not enough time was allowed to enjoy the visit. The chaos was caused by the way the Isle is managed but your trips need to allow more time to cope with this. Special mention to our tour guide whose knowledge and communication skills added to the tour and the food on the boat was really good.

Our TUI Rep Katrina was brilliant. She was so helpful with any queries and bookings.However the guide on the Kotor Montenegro trip was hard to hear on the bus . It was a very long bus journey with no comfort stop on the return journey and a long wait for the boat in Montenegro.. Enjoyed the boat trip and the meal on board but the stop in Our Lady of the Rocks was agai a lot of queuing. Kotor Bay was very scenic and Kotor was interesting..

Montenegro is a beautiful country and the best part of the trip was the boat trips. Unfortunately this trip was spoiled for us with the multiple delays throughout the day. We passed through customs quite quickly but then the boat was late arriving, when it got to the lady of the rocks it idled for twenty minutes waiting to dock which left us short on time for looking around. We then waited 30-40 minutes before we could get in the church which then left no time to explore the island these delays

Our Tui rep was excellent ie Katrina, who sold us the trip, but the whole experience in Montenegro was a lot to be desired. The guide on the bus was ineffective, he did not impart information, the bus driver did not allow the use of the toilet on the bus. We were left in sunshine standing for three quarters of an hour waiting for the boat to arrive. We had no comfort stops coming back despite the length of the journey.

Bonjour, lors de notre inscription il nous avait été certifié que nous aurions un guide francophone puisque nous ne parlons pas anglais. Nous n'avons pas été transféré de bus. Donc mis à part la visite de la petite église nous n'avons rien compris. La visite de Kotor étant libre, nous avons payé une prestation que nous n'avons pas eut. Ce qui nous a vraiment mis en colère c'est que le guide dans un Français impeccable nous a dit qu'il était payé pour une visite en anglais et pas en Français.....

The two stops on the trip were fantastic but there was a lot of time travelling 2.5 hours on the coach once we got to mainland from kolocep then 1.5 hours waiting at border control then another 2.5 hours on the boat to get to Lady of the Rock and Kotor. Lunch was nice on the boat but we were packed in like sardines.

We enjoyed our trip albeit a very long day. We felt there was too much time travelling and not enough time to see Kotor. The food on the boat was very disappointing, we observed many people returning full plates of uneaten food.

This was a very long day and I had reservations about doing it for that reason. In the end it was a fabulous day out, the Bay of Kotor is a beautiful place and well worth the travel over the border from Croatia, even with the border delays of about 60/90m each way. The city of Kotor itself and the surroundings are fabulous, I really enjoyed the exploration time but I think a short walk around with the guide before we did that would have helped in our understanding of the place better than I had.

l'excursion n'est pas désagréable, mais des points noirs gâchent celles ci. -la surpopulation lors de la visite de notre dame des rochers provoque une certaine attente, et fut le théâtre d'une prise de bec entre 2 guides complètement inapproprié. le comportement du guide anglophone semblait misogyne et son "humour" pour se moquer des français par la suite, peu professionnel. -le passage à la douane du retour, avec 2h30 d'attente. sans lien avec l'organisation mais gâche la journée

The actual trip & the guide where fantastic. Beautiful location on both stops & well worth attending. However more emphasis on how long the border crossing takes should be explained, we spent over 2 hours at the border. Make sure you have water & snacks. This resulted in a very long day, over 13 hours. Also not enough time is given in Kotor to explore. Such a shame as otherwise this was a beautiful place to visit

Seeing Montenegro is fantastic but be prepared for a huge amount of travel time - this was a 14 hour trip - 5 of which we spent sitting at the border (2hrs there and 3 in the way back) The food is not great - take your own You only get 1 hour in Kotor You visit a church on an island but it’s so busy - many skipped it and walked through because it felt like being trapped in a small hot space The guide max was great but he can only do so much when a place is busy and the border is bad

Late pick up was a bad start. Guide entertaining with good sense of humour. People need to be warned that out of a 12 hour day there's a chance of being on a coach that smells of urine for 6 hours. The actual boat trip was lovely, food on board was basic but sufficient. Our lady of the rocks was ok, very crowded and rushed then dropped off in Montenegro for 1 hour 15 mins. Only time for a quick ice cream and a drink. Return coach trip again approx 3 hours. Disappointing.

While the bay of Kotor was lovely, and the Lady of the rocks chapel is beautiful. The excursion is mis-sold. The duration is not 8 hours, it’s 15 hours from Kalamota Island. When we were advised to take the boat and not the bus, it was not advised we would still spend around 4 hours each way on a bus to get to and from the boat. You only spend around 3 hours not travelling out of a full 15 hour day, service is good but the food on the boat was not very good. The guide was excellent regardless.

We were collected from the Hotel at 06:00, returning at 19:00. Kator is 51.8 miles from our hotel location. We understand that a minimum 1 hour is required to cross the border (each way), that said, we arrived in Kator at 13:40 & were only aloud to stay 1 hr 20mins.

Loved visiting the lady of the rocks, beautiful and our guide Andrew was great. The scenery from the boat was stunning. Plenty of food and drinks. A little more time in Kotor would have been better. It was a very enjoyable day, despite the rain in Kotor.

Can’t fully comment on safety as nothing was mentioned so unsure if there were life jackets aboard the boat or where they were. Slightly strange set up for lunch. The guests were all placed together at one end leaving tables free and guests huddled up to each other unable to enjoy the stunning views as clearly as they might had they been able to spread out. Sonya and Eva were excellent guides. The staff on board the boat and buses were pleasant and accommodating..

Really enjoyed going to Kotor in Montenegro. Boarder crossing took about 30-40 mins each way. Our lady of the Rocks was well worth visiting although was a bit crowded. Kotor is a great place to wonder around, steeped in History with some good photo opportunities. Shame didn’t get a bit more time there. The meal on the boat was OK, but I would have preferred just a sandwich in order to get more time at the destination, as there are loads of places to eat there. Glad I went.

Passage à la frontière trop longue surtout le matin. Temps long sur le bateau de croisière et repas très moyen, surtout pour les enfants pas de repas adapté. Tarif pour mon petit fils de 6 ans très cher soit 89 euros. Temps de visite à Kotor trop court. Excursion décevante et coûteuse.

Expected a very picturesque harbour etc at Kotor. Was not at all. Very expensive for what it was. Food on boat was Quite basic. Wine and water was provided with the meal but neither of us drink wine and no soft drink was included with meal, only water. We had been charged same price as all other travellers who did drink wine. Any further drinks after what was included had to be paid for and were expensive, therefore all we had was water, and only what was with meal. Not worth the price at all.

We have spoken to TUI Rep, Max regarding our disappointment with both the excursion and misleading description by Max when selling it to us. A complete waste of money and a whole day of our holiday gone. We were promised a refund by Max, but as yet no contact from TUI has been forthcoming. Notre Guide était très sympathique et professionnelle !la visite intéressante de Notre Dame du Rocher et Kotor magnifique. L’attente à la douane était un peu longue mais c’est aléatoire malheureusement. Repas sur le bateau très bon mais difficile de satisfaire les enfants et les ados ! Il manque peut être 30 min de quartier libre en plus mais sinon rien à redire avec le bateau c’est super !

We loved the scenery & the town of Kotor but would have liked a guided tour while there rather than the stop at The lady of the Rock. The food on the cruise was dreadful. We spent a long time getting across the border & more coming back which we were not advised about. The rep spoke longer in French during the tour & we felt we were not given as much information in English

Tui Rep advised 5;15am start.Advised packed breakfast and nothing to worry about. When we were given the bag containig breakfast my wife could not eat what was supplied.Tui Rep advised we should have highlighted the day before.She seemed to forget that we did and the reply was 'don't worry we take care of it'. Having said this she did fetch 4 slices of bread 1 with jam the other salad and wrapped in foil,not wow factor. Other pick ups,packed bags put us to shame with drinks and snacks in their

Minder was de lange busrit vanuit Slano naar de haven en redelijk lange wachttijd aan de douane. (Heen en terug). Leuk was de boottocht en bezoek aan Kotor.

Enjoyed the cruise and Our Lady of the Rock, and the staff and guides were excellent. The food was fine and the service was quick, excellent red wine too. Maybe a soft drink option for non alcoholic drinkers in future? Kotor was nice but maybe better as a guided tour? On the day we went it was extremely hot and inside the walls it was unbearable, which spoilt the experience somewhat. Overall a pleasant albeit very long day.

This trip was absolutely great! I went with my 16 year old and he loved it too. The rep was great when explaining the history, The boat felt safe and secure, and you could stay in the shade too as the sun was very strong! Lunch was of a good standard. The scenery was amazing and both stops were very enjoyable. Thank you!!

Le chauffeur du bus ne savait pas où il allait, pour prendre le bateau après 2 demi tour, c est une personne en scooter qui a fini par le guider. La guide ne s assurait pas que son micro était en marche donc perte d informations

The guide has a phrase, "but we'll talk about that later", but we never did, very little information or guiding, but he did point out such essentials as the fields of hire cars, the trip itself was good and tied in nicely with our later trip to Korcula. The food was good, but the French part filled all of the tables leaving the English speakers to squeeze in at the end. The border control is a necessary wait, but was handled well in both directions. The visit to Our lady of the rocks was smooth.

Bonjour, Magnifiques paysages, belle excursion par contre le repas servi à bord était infect ! 101 euros avec le repas et 53 euros sans repas donc le repas est à 48 euros, du vol ! Nous avons été très déçus du repas. Pourtant avec 48 euros il y a plus que suffisamment pour faire un repas correct Très décevant. À l'avenir, nous prendrons les excursions par un autre biais "getyourguide" par exemple. Une mention très spéciale pour Sonia la guide, elle est géniale !

An enjoyable trip but felt like the day could have been improved by removing the 3 course lunch on the boat & giving us more time in Kotor. The lunch wasn’t that great to be honest, it was very hurried, cramped and noisy. We would have preferred to have more time in Kotor to enjoy the town and find our own lunch as there were plenty of restaurants and places to get a snack on the island. We had less than 90 minutes there and there was plenty of little streets and things to explore.
