Altea Fireworks

Experience the magic of Altea's ‘Castell de l'Olla', a spectacular combination of music and fireworks, reflecting vibrant colours on the bay's waters. Celebrated every August, this tradition dating back decades originated from a tribute to a local pyrotechnician known as 'Uncle Blai, the rocketer', and has grown into a major Mediterranean event, attracting more than 70,000 onlookers. Months of preparation go into preparing the show, which covers a 'screen' of night sky up to 600 metres wide. Endorsed by UNESCO, this spectacle is launched entirely from the sea – enhancing the view from the coastline.
