Wat te verwachten
Beleef een magische avond alleen voor volwassenen. Je gids haalt je op bij je hotel en brengt je naar de beschermde reservaten van Costa Fragata of Serra Negra. In een kleine groep van maximaal tien personen deelt je gids meer over de onechte karetschildpadden en lokale bescherming. Daarna wandel je onder de sterren over het strand en kijk je in stilte hoe deze bijzondere dieren hun nest maken. Dit is een bijzondere belevenis die je niet snel vergeet.

Disappointing experience, lack of communication from the staff, some staff incredibly rude and didn’t give much information about the turtles, I was told it was going to be educational, but most of the time we were left sat alone on the beach waiting, for hours! Seems to have become a money making scheme and unfortunately the animals are not prioritised; 2 turtles were scared away from the beach due to the amount of people crowding & the staff shouting, oversold and expensive for the experience.

It was beautiful to finally see the turtles, it was a magical experience. However, would have been nice to have been made aware that you could be waiting 2 hours to see one and to wear clothes that cover because of the insects. There were a lot of people on the beach and other companies do not follow the safety and protection of the animal which was sad to see. Tui however was incredible and very informative of keeping the turtle safe and not cause them upset.

Brilliant experience. Our guide, Cami, was knowledgeable and friendly. Even though it was early in the season, we still saw a turtle laying, a.d then covering her eggs and then she vanished back into the ocean. Would recommend

Tourguide sehr lustlos sehr unmotiviert einfach keine intresse an seinem Job. Tour wird mit 2-4 angeboten nach 1.5 Stunden waren wir wieder im hotel. Dabei war die hin und Rückfahrt 50 Minuten 15 Minuten in einem Zelt wo der Ablauf und was über Schildkröten erzählt wurde. 10 Minuten Gehweg zur Schildkröte. 5 Minuten nur bei 1 Schildkröte beim Eier legen und dann wieder in den Bus zum hotel. Tour nicht zu empfehlen und das alles für 49 Euro p.P geht gar nicht

Loved the turtles experience. Original date got cancelled as there wasn't enough people. Rebooked for a few days later. A bit confusing when a tui bus turned up saying my name wasn't on the list. Then a bus arrived behind and my name was on that list (phew) . The experience itself was amazing. Loads of turtles laying eggs and coming onto the beach. Guide was extremely informative. Noticed other guides/groups didnt respect the turtles as much as us and our guide. It was amazing.

Booked for 9PM but on the day we were informed that it was cancelled due to lack of staff so rebooked for the following day using the earlier tile slot 8PM as that was the only option available. Waited at reception to be picked up from 7:45PM until 9:00PM, however, no-one arrived to collect us and there was no advice that it had been cancelled so gave up and obtained a refund.

What an amazing experience! To get to see a Loggerhead turtle laying her eggs, covering them and returning to the sea is nature at its best. Our guide Isla (hope it's spelled right) was very enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge with us. A definite must do experience.

Wir wurden um 21 Uhr pünktlich abgeholt. Gegen 21.30 Uhr waren wir am Zelt. Dort wurden wir gefragt, ob jemand was trinken möchte oder einen Snack (was das gewesen wäre, wurde nicht gesagt, es stand auch nix da) Da alle frisch vom Buffet kamen (Essen im Hotel ist erst ab 19.30 Uhr) wollte erst mal keiner was. Nach einer kurzen Information zu den Schildkröten (ca 10-15 Minuten) sollten wir schnell aus dem Zelt raus. Es ging zu der Schildkröte, danach direkt zum Bus und um 22.45 waren wir am Hotel

Die Schildkröte bei der Eiablage zu beobachten war einzigartig und berührend. Am Strand angekommen wurden wir instruiert: Handydisplay abdunkeln, kein Licht/Blitz und wir dürfen nur hinter der Schildi sein, damit sie nicht gestört wird. Wie das Tier seine Eier ablegt, das Nest abdeckt und alle Spuren verwischt und dann wieder ins Meer kriecht, war unbeschreiblich schön. Wir waren echt ergriffen - auch die Kinder.

We was waiting for 2 hours for the pick up. Stated 7:40pm pickup and we was there from 7:30pm, no show from the pickup. Awful, no email, no one to contact regarding it. Wasted a whole evening of our holiday, rushed dinner down to ensure we got there on time.

Guide Anna - very friendly, lots of energy, knew about the tour structure and safety. When it came to some additional basic facts & questions about the sea turtles,, not in the initial briefing (how long do the eggs grow inside the female turtles before they give birth), she wasnt sure.. Of course - no single person knows everything- but the Tui rep sold the tour as having a marine biologist, which I expected to be more knowledgeable about the species we were there to see.

While we know you can't predict nature I think this excursion should not start until the experts can say when the egg laying season is in full flow. This excursion should state it's on on very uneven ground and you have to walk quite a distance and also sit on the sand for long periods which people with mobility issues found this an issue. We also had some people swap coaches and children came on our coach going home and this was a adults only coach. One of the worst trips we have been on.

We booked this without knowing it was the first night of the season. Whilst in calendar terms the “season” had begun, the turtles have not yet started coming and so far only one had been seen a week before our trip. The guides and rep all knew we were highly unlikely to see anything and I feel the trip was miss sold and should have been cancelled. Also badly described and no mention of lengthy off road journeys in minibuses, very uncomfortable. Overall a very poor experience

Def. sind 45 € p.P. viel zu teuer, warum hier eine Erwachsenentour 10 € mehr für die gleiche Leistung kostet, ist uns nicht erklärlich. Der Guido war doch sehr lustlos und wirkte nicht sehr motiviert. Die Beobachtung war durchaus gut, allerdings sollten die Akkus der Rotlichter aufgeladen sein, diese sind nacheinander ausgefallen, für 90€ erwarten wir leider mehr. Aber dennoch ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis. VG Christian Büttner

It was amazing. For improvement I think the description is misleading though. We were told drinks and snacks and turtle watching. It was a tiny half cup of warm water or juice and a bag of nuts. This was fine! But it’s sold in the context of the other trips that get alcohol and more food. You also just get to see one turtle. Again, fine and we still would have gone but I think it should be clear what you’re getting.

The overall arrangements were as planned, e.g. pick up time, travel duration etc. I was not expecting to walk such a distance to see a turtle nest. The only person with a working torch was the guide who led the group. The ground was rough and it was very dark. Very unsafe and an accident could very well have occurred if fellow guests did not support each other. After complaining I could not walk any further the guide returned and found a nest very close to us? That was great to see.

We were in a small group of 6. Our guide when away to look for a nesting turtle. He returned and said another group would be joining us. They were a large group and once we got to the nest they blocked our view. Once the turtle had finished laying they didn't really seamed interested. I told our guide what happened and he said that they were Croatian and that's how they were. We felt that we were there first and we should of been given the opportunity to watch first then let the other group

Das Erlebnis war wirklich top! Wir hatten einen perfekten Abend erwischt, an dem Vollmond war. Begrüßt wurden wir in einem Beduinenzelt und bekamen Saft und Kekse gereicht. Es kamen mehrere Schildkröten an Land, sodass wir das ganze Schauspiel der Eiablage sehr gut verfolgen konnten. Alles in allem war es ein sehr gelungenes Erlebnis, dass wir jederzeit wieder buchen würden und auch jedem weiterempfehlen können...

Amazing experience. One downside... our very presence put two separate turtles off from laying their eggs. On balance though, we get that our payments enable the project we observed and turtle numbers are increasing. So although that was unfortunate I suspect the individuals tried again later. It was without doubt the highlight of our trip.

The whole evening was great and I will hopefully return again. Slight concern as nuts were offered when we arrived; being with someone who is severely allergic to them I was very concerned but fortunately no one had any. I didn’t want to say anything as the guide was really good, full of information and respect for the turtles and the environment and I felt it may have soured the evening for people and/or made him feel guilty (he wasn’t to know) The experience was magical, I’m so glad we went.

Amazing experience and something I have wanted to do for a while. The only reason I have marked safety down is a few issues with my allergy. Before booking we let the rep at the hotel know I have a severe nut allergy and that snacks (inc in the price) should accommodate this. When we got there peanuts where the snack but thankfully everyone kept them closed. On the way back to the hotel the bus gave a lift to another guide and he opens a packet. Almost had an incident & needs to be considered!

It was a fantastic experience, our guide had great knowledge. We saw a turtle and watched her at close range as she laid her eggs and then carefully cover them. A great evening and I felt privileged to see such an amazing event.

Wir haben tatsächlich eine Schildkröte bei der Eiablage beobachten können, das war sehr beeindruckend. Allerdings mussten wir darauf lange warten, was aber in der Natur der Sache liegt.

Transport was fine. The guide was very knowledgeable. We sat in a glamping tent first and were offered a drink and a snack before explaining about the life cycle of turtles. The guide then took us to a nesting turtle within minutes from where our van was parked. The red light behind the turtle enabled us to watch silently without the turtle knowing we were there. We saw her laying her eggs, covering in the nest and then going back to sea. Such an amazing experience.
