With beaches straight out of the Caribbean and a coastline that's some of Mother Nature's best work, Calabria's ‘Coast of the Gods' makes for one cracking sunset cruise. This small group boat trip promises an evening of bay visits, a typical Italian apéritif and a show of colours to make you fall head over heels.You'll set sail in the early evening for about two and a half hours of pure Calabrese delight. The ‘Coast of the Gods' will form your backdrop for this cruise, and not only will you see it from afar, but there'll also be four stops to appreciate the views for a bit longer.See the white sands of Grotticelle beach, swim in the turquoise waters of Formicoli, admire the rugged cliffs of Tropea and watch the sun dip into the sea by the rocks of Stromboli. An apéritif will be served for you to watch the sunset, and soft background music will set the scene, too.

Nothing to identify that our transfer was Tui, as the driver didn’t speak English. 20 minutes in a hot taxi, not really knowing if in correct transport. On arrival we waited for 15 minutes caravan awning and were offered plastic cups and a half drunk bottle of water for refreshments. The boat was so small that I didn’t have a seat, and wasn’t able to sit with my wife for the whole 2 hour trip. What was supposed to be a relaxing sunset boat ride was more like an uncomfortable speed boat ride.
