The Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve is an unspoiled natural paradise that brings you even closer to Mexico's colourful flora and fauna. You'll whizz along dirt trails, then take a boat along the mangroves to see wildlife up close, snorkel and swim in natural pools, and find peace and tranquillity on beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see.You'll spend 90 minutes journeying deep into the reserve in a specially adapted vehicle to tackle the exciting off-road trails and thick jungle terrain of the Mexican Caribbean. Next, you'll board the boat in Paso Largarto (Lizard Road) where you'll be able to spot dolphins, turtles and maybe even manatees and crocodiles.They'll be a snorkelling stop at the world's second-largest coral reef, before heading to the natural pool – known as La Piscina — that stretches several metres into the sea. Tuck into a tasty lunch at a restaurant serving regional dishes in Punta Allen before rounding the day with some free time in the village.

The boat ride and knowledge/friendliness of the guide were excellent. We saw so much willdlife, Sian Ka’an was beautiful. Well worth the journey. The tour description details a 90 minute jungle tour and a 2.5 hour boat ride, which isn’t strictly true. The jungle tour is actually the drive down a jungle track to get to the boat and then same back again. So it does make the journey feel a lot longer.

Guide was great. Everything else was awful. 4 hours in an extremely cramped mini bus each way. Took 2 hours to collect everyone! Bus was awful. 90 mins in the jungle saw only trees whilst two of us injured our necks from whiplash. 50 mph in a van with no suspension. Saw a couple of dolphins. Were then drowned in a storm. Trip should have been moved to another day. All round hideous experience. Will be seeking a refund.

On nous a fait payer 20€ de taxes par personnes qui a priori n’étaient pas inclus ce qui n’était pas précisé. Je trouve que cela aurait dû nous être précisé avant la réservation. J’ai pris beaucoup d’excursions pour ce voyage j’ose espérer que je n’aurai pas cette mauvaise surprise à chaque fois

Wir haben seit 6:40 am Hotel gewartet und wurden um 8 Uhr abgeholt. Das war aber nicht der Fehler von dem Guide, sondern von TUI. Dementsprechend war unsere Laune. Die „Safari“ war eine Busfahrt durch den „Jungle“. Die Klimaanlage tropfte auf uns runter und der Weg war so uneben, dass wir herumgeschleudert wurden. Nichts für ältere Menschen !!! . Die anschließende Bootsfahrt hat für alles entschädigt! Es war einfach ein Traum! Wer das nicht erlebt ist selber schuld. Ich würde 4.5 Sterne geben.

An amazing trip totally let down by transport ,, a sickening trip squashed19 people into a mini bus only suitable for 10, is this why the trip says not suitable for people with claustrophobic, seats so crammed 0 room for legs especially at back !

Die Tour an sich war sehr schön. Wir haben zwei Krokodile, viele verschiedene Vögel, Delfine und Schildkröten gesehen. Aber die eigentliche "Safari" im im Park war eine einstündige Fahrt im Kleinbus, bei der wir einmalig für 10 Minuten ausgestiegen sind, ansonszten sieht man von der Vegetation sehr wenig. Der Guide war wirklich sehr freundlich und informiert und hat in drei Sprachen die Tour geführt, was manchmal etwas anstrengend war. Für 200€ plus Tax hatte ich doch etwas mehr erwartet.

Would of enjoyed a bit longer at bird island but appreciate time restraints. Personally would if been happy to sacrifice the natural pool stop or time on the beach after lunch to spend more time at bird island. Also we weren't expecting the ' all terrain vehicle" to be a minibus. Limited us to see wildlife out of the vehicle.

Erstmal fand d Tour nicht im Jeep, sonder im Kleinbus statt. Im Bus waren wir d. Ersten, dann kam eine Frau dazu,begrüßte uns u. wie sich herausstellte,war es unser Guide.Sie stellte sich uns nicht vor, Sie erklärte weder d Ablauf,noch während d 6 Std Fahrt etwas über d Tiere,d Kultur o. d Menschen!Sie unterhielt sich allerdings sehr angeregt mit ihren osteuropäischen Landsleuten.Unmöglich u nicht d Geld wert!Ein No go!Guide Sami war toll! D Fahrt auf d. Boot war einmalig u. absolut sehenswert.

Un véhicule adapté à la piste aurait été un plus !!! On nous annonce 3h de trajet aller et en fait c’est 5h et 4h au retour !!! L’expérience est incroyable mais le temps et les conditions de trajets sont le côté plus négatifs du safari. Le bateau et notre capitaine et les animaux observés sont évidemment le top de cette sortie.

Die „Safari“ war ehr eine Busfahrt durch einen Mini Dschungel in der man nur Pflanzen und Bäume sieht. Krokodile haben sich leider auf Hin- und Rückweg keine gezeigt. Dafür konnten wir auf der Bootstour Schildkröten, Manati und Define sehen. Das Schnorcheln musste aus Sicherheitsgründen schnell abgebrochen werden, da viele Quallen im Wasser waren. Aber das was zu sehen war an Korallen und Fischen war wunderschön. Das Baden im natürlich Pool war angenehm. Das Essen war super lecker.

De autorit naar Sian Ka’an vanaf de boog was zeer lastig. Ruwe weg en men werd constant heen en weer gezwierd. Er werd een boottocht langs de mangroves beloofd maar niet gebeurt. Het snorkelen en zwemmen was de moeite waard alsook de lunch.

De gids, voertuigen en drinken onderweg was prima. De uitleg ook. Genoten van de mooie uitzichten, boottocht, snorkelen en schildpadden. Minder was het wachten bij de verzamelplek in Tulum bij de aanvang. De 4 uur durende tocht (heen en terug) om bij de boot te komen. Helaas geen dolfijnen gezien. Lange lunchtijd in het dorpje. Voor een wereld erfgoed wordt het slecht onderhouden en lijkt het reservaat soms op een vuilnisbelt. Transport retour heeft langer geduurd omdat er miscommunicatie was

Sian Ka’an itself was amazing - we saw wild dolphins, turtles and crocodiles and the snorkelling was great although a shame we didn’t have more time doing this. Lunch provided was lovely and plentiful - we had chicken fajitas. However, the trip advertises a 90 minute jeep safari. I can confirm it was over 4 hours in the jeep down very bumpy roads return trip. If we knew this I would never have booked this excursion. Misleading information on the description.

Activité sur place top mais gros problème d’organisation avec 5h pour y aller et 4h pour revenir. Changement de chauffeur en pleine ville, 45min d’attente seuls sur une station essence. Guide 0, il parlait plus aux personnes dehors que nous. Organisation vraiment dommage.

Die Fahrt mit dem Zubringerbus und dem Geländebus war in unseren Augen sehr grenzwertig und gefährlichen Fahrmanövern. Die Bootsfahrt und das Schnorcheln hat aber alles wieder gut gemacht und es hat sich sehr gelohnt.

Le transport depuis l’hôtel était INTERMINABLE ! Nous sommes parties à 5 heures du matin, nous avons fait le tour de je ne sais combien d’hôtels pour récupérer des gens, puis des arrêts de bus …. Au final l’excursion a commencé en entrant dans le parc à 9 heures. Soit 4 heures !!! Idem au retour nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel à 20 heures au lieu de 18 heures!!! Ce n’est pas possible

Really enjoyed this trip, got to see dolphins and a turtle plus much more, beautiful views. A full day and long off road drive but really worth it. The reserve and boat trip are great. Would recommend for all nature lovers.

We enjoyed the trip very much, but the mini bus that picked us up wasn’t good, most of the seat belts didn’t work or was non existent. So safety wise that wasn’t good, but the boat trip we felt very safe. Could you please let other customers know to wear flip flops and not trainers.

Over het algemeen waren wij positief over wat wij hebben gezien tijdens de excursie! De boottocht was heerlijk en hebben veel dieren mogen spotten, de kapitein van het bootje was top en deed soms net een stapje extra voor ons. De transfer daarentegen was het echt niet waard, je werd van Playacar eerst naar Tulum gebracht waar je vanuit daar 2 tot 2,5 uur moest rijden naar het nationale park over een hele hobbelige en niet comfortabele weg. Dat kon wel beter weet ik uit eerdere ervaringen.

4x4 was a mini bus with sides cut out and was a very bumpy long ride to the boats, the boat trip was amazing we seen turtles, dolphins, manatees, sting ray and loads of fish, beautiful location for lunch punta Allen, and fantastic guides, then the bumpy ride back

Bei der Buchung wurde uns gesagt das wir mit Schildkröten und Delphinen Schnorcheln. Dies war aber nicht der Fall,weil wir über einem Riff geschnorchelt sind wo nur kleine Fische waren. Zu der Safartour: War sehr anstrengend und langwierig weil wir 1,5h lang auf einem sehr schlechten holprigen Weg gefahren sind ohne ein einziges Tier zu sehen. Bei einer Safaritour stell ich mir vor das man auch Tiere sieht,sonst ist es ja keine Safaritour.

We saw all the animals (dolphins, manatees, turtles, sharks, coral reef, crocodile, bird island) they said we might see. The park area is very scenic and clean and the guide was really good. Although the roads in the park are horrendously bumpy, not suitable for a lot of people. Health and safety aspects are a bit dodgy ie. getting in and out of boats with ladder and without ladders, when waves are hitting you, I get badly bruised. No seat belts in mini bus. But we love animals so great

Reiseleiter Gabriel ist super. Spricht sogar Deutsch. Ausflug an sich war toll. Wirklich alle Tiere gesehen, die im Programm beschrieben wurden. Einziger negativer Punkt, die Fahrt zu den Booten dauert echt lange, sodass zum Beispiel beim schnorcheln oder baden in der Lagune nicht allzu viel Zeit bleibt. Aber das ist jetzt meckern auf hohem Niveau. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Ausflug!

Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Ausflug. Der Guide hatte viele interessante Informationen über die Region, die Tiere usw. parat. Der Busfahrer sowie auch die Bootsfahrer waren alle sehr nett. Während der Safarifahrt konnten wir ein Krokodil sichten. Bei der Bootsfahrt haben wir Manatees, Delfine und Schildkröten sehen können. Zusätzlich hierzu haben wir beim schnorcheln einen Ammenhai und einen Stachelrochen gesehen. Vielen Dank an das Reiseteam. Sehr weiterzuempfehlen! Punta Allen war auch top!

I'm surprised TUI endorse this tour but tell you they don't endorse the local buses. The transport is an open sided bus with no seatbelts. The "safari" should be called a transfer that takes 3.5hrs each way along a bumpy dusty track, you don't see any wildlife. To improve the tour company could use a modern vehicle with better suspension and air con. Our guide spoke several languages but as we were with a large french group it seemed like they were receiving more information than the english

The guide was friendly, but he was really difficult to understand. He had to go through 4 languages which is too much, too much waiting. The trip should have been explained better (boat trip on open water it not so good weather…). The “jeep part of the trip” is not pleasant, is only transport on really ********** road. Overall I think the trip could have been better! But nice to see turtles and dolphins.

Wij vonden het niet fijn om 40 km over een hobbelige weg door elkaar geschud te worden wat grotendeels aan de chauffeur lag deze reed als een malle wat wel mooi was was het eerste gedeelte van de boottocht helaas kom je niet in de jungle met de boot wat wij wel verwacht hadden om zo meer flora en fauna te spotten lunch was redelijk

Muss man gesehen haben. „Festes Schuhwerk“ ist übertrieben, einfach badelatschen da viel Kontakt mit Wasser. Bus fahrt sehr lang und anstrengend durch den Weg aber das Erlebnis war trotzdem sehr sehr sehenswert.

6am start , over a 12 hour day with over 8 hours of travel in a bus, a 4 hour round trip on a truck. To spend less the 15mins with 2 dolphins, 30mins watching turtles. Over 3 hours just speeding from place to place on a boat.

I loved being out on the boat just looking for the wildlife and taking time to stop and look at the dolphins and turtles etc. There was plenty of time to swim and snorkel, and the stop for lunch at the Mayan village allowed us to absorb the "real" Mexico. The scenery was stunning, and there were plenty of cold drinks handed out through the day to keep us cool. Benito and Gabriel the guides were amazing, very funny and knowledgeable, and obviously had a passion for their job. A perfect day!

het leuke is dat je mexico en het landschap van de maja's ziet, ook de lunch was echt super goed. het dorpje waar niet zo heel veel mensen wonen maar toch mega mooi is. het mindere dat de zee bij ons nogal woelig was en dat dit de nodige problemen meegaf zeeziekte dan vooral bij mij, dat niet alle dieren konden gespot worden vooral die twee die ik en mijn beste vriendin wouden zien flamingo en krokodil en dat we zonder waarschuwing nog taxen moesten betalen omdat dit geen tui collection was.

Natuurpark was mooi, gids ?? Vogels, dolfijnen en schildpadden gezien. De reis naar en van natuurpark was verschrikkelijk. Slechte weg als je eenmaal in park bent. Echt verschrikkelijk door elkaar geschud. De reis duurde daarmee veel te lang. Excursie wordt al afgeraden voor zwangeren, maar dit geldt ook voor mensen met rug, been, knie en voet problemen. Goede benen zijn hard nodig voor schrap zetten in de Safari bus. Door de slechte reis nauwelijks waar voor je geld.

Veneretki oli ihana. Safariautoon ei missään nimessä neljää aikuista takapenkille. 1,5 tuntia kestävä töyssyinen matka oli hirveä kokemus ahtaassa istuen. Vauhti liian kova - ei ehtinyt ympärilleen katsoa. Ralli on eri kuin safari.

The nature part was amazing and something we will not forget. But the driver and tour guide was reckless! I didn't find it funny over taking onto oncoming traffic a number of times and speeding through the pot holed jungle at over 50 mph with no seat belts working. If we had a blow out at them speeds and bad roads then someone would probably die. All a shame really, not sure why Tui endorse this. We saw Dolphins, Turtles, Crocodiles and stingrays which was ace but the safety side needs sorting.

The holiday itself was incredible value! It felt like we were staying in a luxury hotel for the price of a budget hotel! The optional excursions do cost more but are well worth it to escape the all-inclusive resort and see a bit of Mexico's culture and history.

Supermooie tour, krokodillen, dolfijnen en schildpadden gezien en allerlei vogels. Snorkelen bij het rif was fantastisch. Onze chauffeur en gids (Armando en Sho) waren een topduo. Veel info en zeer respectvol naar de dieren en de natuur. Bij het vragen van een vegetarische maaltijd geen enkel probleem. Zeker aan te raden !

We had a really enjoyable day, we saw dolphins and sea turtles which we really enjoyed watching. The captain of the boat brought us sandwiches and took us into the reef snorkelling. Finished up by a swim in turquoise blue waters followed by a delicious lunch. There was a tax we needed to pay we were unaware of before we set off, however I pointed this out on the TUI message app and was advised to see rep, who promptly reimbursed us. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

A great trip but a long day, we stayed in playacar and it was a 12 hour day in total. The guides were great, we got to see everything including dolphins right next to the boat being the highlight. We did the trip with our four kids 1 / 3 / 13 & 16 years old and all of them really enjoyed the day. Would definatley recommend

De safari toer was erg lang. Het is niet echt een safari waar je dieren gaat zien maar meer een offroad weg (vol hobbels en kuilen, de gids noemde het een maya massage ??)naar de plek waar je in de boot stapt. Zo nu en dan zie je een hagedis wegschieten maar dat is het ook. Het varen en snorkelen was geweldig. Dolfijnen en zeeschildpadden gezien. Eten in het plaatselijke dorpje was ook erg goed. Smeer je goed in want de zon is fel.
