Cosa aspettarsi
Le tartarughe marine Loggerhead abitano le spiagge di Zante da migliaia di anni e, con un po' di fortuna, potrete vederle da vicino durante questa gita in barca. Unitevi a una guida locale esperta per una giornata istruttiva in mare, passando accanto a siti di nidificazione, nuotando in baie nascoste e trascorrendo del tempo nel villaggio di Keri. Bianca, una delle nostre guide, dice: "In un solo viaggio, potrete tuffarvi in acque limpide, navigare lungo la penisola di Keri e, con un po' di fortuna, vedere le tartarughe".Disponibile la mattina dal porto di Zante o il pomeriggio dal porto di Keri, questa crociera di mezza giornata è un vero piacere per tutta la famiglia. Passerete dalle spiagge dorate di Vassilikos e Marathonisi, un isolotto ricoperto di pini soprannominato "Isola delle tartarughe". Il motivo è semplice: una delle sue spiagge è il sito preferito per la nidificazione delle tartarughe. Bianca, che vive a Zante da più di 20 anni, dice del paesaggio: "Puoi fare questo tour mille volte e ogni giorno è diverso". Assicuratevi di tenere d'occhio le teste di cervo e potreste persino avvistare uno o due delfini selvatici.Inoltre, navigherete lungo la penisola di Keri, costeggiando le sue scogliere a picco sul mare, le grotte e il faro prima di gettare l'ancora per una sosta bagno nella Baia dell'Oasi. Nel piccolo villaggio di Keri è possibile fare una breve sosta per acquistare souvenir, rilassarsi in una tipica taverna o andare in spiaggia. Inoltre, un volontario del gruppo locale di conservazione ARCHELON - l'associazione greca per la protezione delle tartarughe marine - sarà a bordo per illustrarvi il suo lavoro.

Hallo, natürlich war der Ausflug sehr schön, hatte aber auch vermeidbare Längen, wo nur hin- un her geschippert wurde. Die unechten Karretschildkröten waren wohl auch im Urlaub. Die Preise für ein bisschen Wurst und Bier hatten Formel 1 Niveau. Wir würden diesen Ausflug nicht mehr machen und stattdessen den Smuugler` s Cove zum Schiffsfrack vorziehen. Dieser war wirklich brilliant.

Turen ble avlyst når vi var 5min fra Keri bay. Vi brukte hele formiddagen på dette (pakking, venting på bussen og tur/retur med buss). Har ikke fått noe godtgjørelse for vår bortkastede tid. I tillegg måtte jeg kontakte TUI personell da vi ikke fikk noe som helst info etter at vi kom tilbake til hotellet. Alt for dårlig. Barna hadde gledet seg og nå blir det kanskje ikke mulighet igjen. Forventer en skikkelig tilbakemelding på dette.

Two of us paid €39 each got on the bus, took us half way to the boat then turned around saying it was cancelled, was supposed to be rescheduled, when we got to the hotel there was no sign of the tui rep and we haven’t seen her since we booked. We haven’t had our money back or had any updates on the rescheduling. Very bad experience. Would like a refund.

De excursie ging niet door. En we hebben lang voor niks in de bus gezeten. Later werd gezegd dat het door de wind kwam.maar van andere mensen in het hotel hoorde we dat de kapitein ruzie had en met de boot een aanvaring had gehad en de boor dus kapot was. Ik vind dat wij voor het weg gaan op de hoogte gebracht hadden kunnen worden. Dat had een busreis van twee en een half uur gescheeld. En er word gelogen over de reden. Onze hostees Gealla was wel snel met een vervangende datum. Top.

Prima boot, best groot met de keus om boven op het dek of beneden te zitten. Kantine aan boord met drinken broodjes en snacks. Toiletten ook. Helaas geen schildpadden gezien. We hadden ook wel een onrustige zee. Daar merkte je op voor verder niks van. Dat was wel een teleurstelling natuurlijk maar ondanks dat het een mooie tocht. Twee zwem stops gemaakt onderweg wat ook erg leuk is.

Es ist ein großes Schiff für ca 200 Personen. Wir haben leider keine Schildkröten gesehen. Die Chance sehe ich als sehr gering. Die Badestellen waren ok. Die Landschaft sehenswürdig.

What the cruise was supposed to be was nothing like it. We did 2 random swim stops which was nothing special just like swimming in the sea anywhere and the other. These was cut short by half hour. We was supposed to stop and get off boat see the area and caves but we didn’t stop so was just on the boat with nothing to do for a few hours. We didn’t stop to see turtles and was given no explanation for this on top deck but apparently downstairs they heard it was to busy! The coach pick up was good

We really enjoyed this trip and the time spent on the boat, visiting breath taking scenery, was amazing. However, we do feel that this trip to 'see turtles' is very over rated as customers at the resort were reporting, like us, that we didn't see any. We do appreciate that they are wild creatures but the advertising of the trip very much pushes the sight of turtles and is slightly misleading. However, like previously said, we really enjoyed the boat trip.

Tycker att allt blivit sämre när det kommer till upplevelser. Okej utflykt med fina badställen dock lite väl krystat, inte så trevlig personal från TUI, men det gäller TUI generellt på Zakynthos. Inte värt pengarna med tanke på vad man fick. Hade blivit billigare och mer innehåll om man gjort den med någon lokal arrangör. Fick endast veta lite om sköldpaddor och om Strandparken. Vi passerade ju så mycket mer.

One of the worst holiday trips I’ve ever been on, truly awful. It’s just an expensive boat ride (use the term boat loosely, as it’s a three tiered larger vessel- with no glass bottom). The pick up times were on point & the turtle talk was decent but that’s it.To many people loaded onto a boat with zero chance of seeing anything & ocean loaded with boats all hunting that one allusive turtle, feel this is totally miss sold by reps & in truth it’s just a boat cattle market trip. Avoid at all costs

Het is best druk op de boot, wij hadden een goed plaatsje om te zitten, maar lang niet iedereen. Wij hebben geen schildpad gezien. Ook mensen die op een andere dagen met deze boot gingen hebben geen schildpad gezien. Maar de omgeving, het uitzicht was fantastisch, wederom als je een goed plekje op de boot had. Wij kregen 2 momenten om te zwemmen, vrij ver van de caves helaas. Tip, ga met een kleine boot met glazen bodem. Hier heb je meer kans om de turtle te zien en dichterbij de caves te zijn.

Waste of money, didn't see one turtle. The boat is too far at sea to see the turtles. Wouldn't want to go any nearer to the beach as this would destress the animals.

Det var ingen guide i den bus der samlede os op, så mange var i tvivl om vi var i den rigtige bus. Efter 45 min. Kørsel stopper chaufføren og siger vi alle skal stige ud. Ingen aner hvad der sker. Vi skal åbenbart over i en anden bus uden nogen ved hvorfor. Da vi kommer til havnen står vi en hel bus og ved ikke hvor vi skal hen. Ingen guide til at fortælle os det.

Great day from beginning to end, good value for money, safety was well organised and the food on board was very reasonable. Only downside was having to walk to the bus stop at top of road which my husband found difficult as is unable to walk very far so had to leave hotel earlier to make sure we was on time.

wij zouden naar een turtle eiland gaan om evt turtles te zien. Maar is helemaal geen turtle eiland. Wat varen op de zee met 2 zwemperiodes om de excursie toch aantrekkelijk te maken. Dat wij evt. geen schildpadden hebben gezien dat wisten we.

Werden keurig op tijd opgehaald, maar verder is het een erg massale excursie. Boot erg groot en zat al best vol. Varen erg ver van de kust, hierdoor kon je de grotten niet echt zien. Zwemmen was ook niet bijzonder, gewoon midden op zee. Helaas geen schildpad gezien, maar dat kan natuurlijk gebeuren. Kortom best veel geld betaald voor een stuk varen op zee, ver van de kust, erg jammer. Geen aanrader.

Viel zu großes Schiff um Schildkröten zu sichten, dadurch auch keine einzige Schildkröte gesehen. Zu viele Personen am Schiff. Lautsprecher am Boot unverständlich. Stimme der Reiseleitung war schlecht verständlich. Versprochener Besuch im Ort Keri wurde nicht gemacht!

Nobody checked our tickets, anyone could have boarded the boat trip. The TUI guide kept us well informed and shared good information. Unfortunately we did not see any turtles. The sea swimming opportunities were great and well managed. But we were not told we would go into a different location for the return. The busses were late, not clear which bus was going where and too busy environment with other cars etc and the time of day that was very hot with young children

I turen er beskrevet at man har tid til shopping og badning på Keri halvøen. Dette skete ikke. Det var direkte fra bus over på båden også afsted. Vi valgte netop denne tur, da alle ture går til skildpaddeøen men vi ønskede tid på fastlander også. De to badestop der var, var ikke gode. Man kunne intet se og var bare kedeligt. Den her tur var falsk markedsføring og jeg fortrød og indgav en klage 15 min efter afgang da den ikke levede op til annonceret beskrivelse.

The coach was nearly 2 hours and we had no time to look around Keri. We were told it would be 40 mins and a visit to the shops/ cafes there before boarding the boat. The boat stank of cigarettes. The first swim stop was in water that was black like oil. It was unsafe getting back on the boat as soon as many people trying to get into the water. No safely of in/ out. Just a scramble.

We had a great time. It was lovely to see the South side of the island, the keri caves and saw 2 turtles. The swim stops were amazing, especially the 2nd one in a stunning bay of Porto Roma. Transport to and from the hotel were great. There's plenty of choice for food and drink on board and staff were lovely. We had an amazing day thankyou 💗

Far too many people on the excursion! Part of the journey by a large coach was unnerving! The experience wasn’t what we were expecting! Had to wait for the returning coaches! TUI staff didn’t know why we had to wait! Driver missed a stop! One of the returning coaches never arrived!

Service, staff and safety all great but the cruise wasn’t as advertised, we did not see any turtles which is fine, they’re wild animals, but we barely got close enough to turtle island to even see anything due to the size of the boat. Keri caves again, barely close enough to see much. It was very much a “look but don’t touch” tour. Both swim stops were just random places. No Oasis Bay as advertised, no crystal clear water. Better off doing one of the small boat tours you can find around Zante.

Was a good trip… But the boat was very busy, not much room to sit and for someone who suffers with health issues found being cramped a real issue. Were people with their feet on seats and bags. Also after swimming people dripping everywhere making ot slippy. Also very long transfers on non air conditioned coaches

Excellent trip covering a wide area of the coastline. 2 swim stops but as it was a large 3 tiered boat there were a lot of swimmers in the water knocking into each other. Safety was a concern especially on the second stop when the sea had a stronger current and larger waves. We were advised to keep close to the boat, but that was not possible with so many people in the water. I would have preferred a smaller boat and be able to go into the smaller shallower coves.

Keine Schildkröte auf einer Schildkrötentour gesehen! Völlig überfülltes Boot! 2x 30 Minuten Bademöglichkeit. Man braucht schon 10 Minuten, um in der Masse von Bord ins Wasser zu kommen. Ein Ausflug, der so gestrichen werden sollte!

I thought the boat was far too large, it was a 3 levelled boat and I felt like this disturbed the turtles far more than a smaller boat would have. There were speakers but I could barely hear anything so I can’t comment on the guide to be perfectly honest. There was only about 20 minutes of turtle spotting and the rest was just sailing around. I was expecting to spend more time at turtle island but it was just a sail passed the island which was a little disappointing :(

Iets minder grote boot had leuk geweest al deed de kapitein en zijn bemanning er alles aan om ons een goed zicht op de schildpadden te geven👍minder punt: ik zag vele kinderen zwemmen in de toch vrij wilde zee zonder reddingsvest. Kinderen zouden dit toch minstens moeten dragen, volwassen kunnen beter inschattingen maken dus dat moet kunnen. Mvg Tom

Only see 1 turtle and the boat was too large so kept scaring it away. The boat was ridiculously overcrowded and nowhere to lay and sunbathe which I have had on many boat trips before. The boat was dirty. Food and drink wasn’t included either so very overpriced to sit on a crowded boat. Thankfully it was only a few hours and not all day. The coach transfers have no aircon either so a very hot uncomfortable trip

We did not receive any information about the itinerary of the day. There was not enough time to look around Keri village before we boarde the boat. The extortionate costs of food drinks and ice cream on the boat.

Wat voor ons het hoogtepunt was is zeker het zien van de schildpadden, we waren met niet al te grote verwachtingen gegaan maar als die dan werkelijkheid worden is dat dubbel zo mooi. Ook de twee zwemmomenten waren zeker de moeite waard in het hemelsblauw water. Wij hadden de Engelstalige gids gekozen wat voor ons geen probleem was, al bleek die wel moeilijk te verstaan, maar dit heeft zeker geen afbreuk gedaan aan een super mooie en leuke namiddag.

Het was te druk.. Het is ook niet normaal dat we op de terugweg naar het hotel, onze kinderen op de schoot moesten nemen. Dit wegens gebrek aan plaats. Ik heb mijn 2 kinderen tenslotte mee betaald…

Beautiful scenery and great swim stops, and the boat was easy to get on and off. The snack bar had a good variety. The long stretches between stops felt drawn out, and we couldn’t hear the guide clearly so didn't really get any information. With a large group and bored children running around, it lacked personality, connection and a relaxed atmosphere that we had hoped for.

Wycieczka nie spełniła moich oczekiwań gdyż oprócz 4h na statku nic właściwie się nie działo. Żółw został znaleziony, ale brakowało np zejścia na ląd. Uważam, że to absolutnie nie jest atrakcja dla osób które nie potrafią pływać.

Tour war sehr gut, Abzug gibt es für den ersten badestopp (war sehr abrupt, irgendwo im nirgendwo), 2 badestopp in der Nähe einer der Höhlen war besser Boot war sehr groß, auch hier abzug da es am obersten Deck kein Sonnensegel gab

Ein sehr großes Schiff mit ca. 200 Personen. Auf seinen Sitzplatz muss man aufpassen, sonst ist er weg. Für mich etwas zu viele Menschen. Dennoch war die Tour sehr schön. Eine Schildkröte konnte gesichtet werden (Glück gehabt).

Being a late coach ment no chance of getting an outdoor seat. Sitting on the lower deck felt like a ferry, not what I look for in a boat trip. Being on the lower deck it made it very difficult to see the sea turtles :-( Swimming in the sea was the only highlight of the trip

It was a fantastic afternoon trip. We saw the Keri caves, Turtle Island, had two separate swims in the sea and saw a couple of loggerhead turtles! Amazing. And it was great value for money. We were really looked after and we had explanations all the way about our journey and about the turtles.

Leuke boottocht, helaas maar 1 schildpad gezien, die ook onder water bleef dus eigenlijk een zwarte vlek die bewoog. Erg vreemd dat er ook losse tuinstoelen op de boot staan waar je op moet zitten, vond het niet veilig voelen. De laatste zwemstop zit wel erg dicht op het verlaten van de boot zodat je badkleding nog niet is opgedroogd. Fijn is de “ helling “ waarmee je het water in en uit kan gaan. Op de boot kan met je bankkaart betalen bij boeken hoorde er alleen cash van de reisleiding

Det var för lång båttur. Större delen av resan fanns inget intressant att se. Det fanns 2 guider och den som pratade engelska gav för lite information och gav flera gånger fel information. Vi visste inte hur länge kommer vi åka, vad ska vi göra osv. Den andra guiden pratade polska och pratade hela tiden så det var irriterande att inte veta vad pratade hen om. Det var för många resenärer på båten så det fanns knappt plats dessutom blev det absolut inte bekvämt för en så lång båtresa.

Passengers were smoking next to us. We were kept waiting for over an hour 20 mins for return transport in blistering heat with no shade and we didn’t get to see a turtle (which I except is never guaranteed)

Het was een leuke boottocht en middagvullend. Naar de 2e zwemstop toe wel erg lang varen zonder echt iets te beleven. Maar de catering was goed en het zwemmen was leuk. Ook nog enkele schildpadden kunnen zien. Dat geluk moet je wel een beetje hebben.

We booked after reading the good reviews. I would say save your money the listed things on the description was not what we done. The harbour was 20 mins away and somehow we ended up on the coach for an hour and half. it was just 2 swim stops. No turtles. Didn’t visit majority of the things listed was just shown the turtle island from the middle of the sea and told about the caves. Absolutely miss-sold. 6 hours of my holiday wasted I’d say. Save your money

It was a lovely afternoon out. We swam, we saw turtles and learned a little about the area and the turtles. The drink and snack bar was well stocked to keep you cool and not hungry. We even bought a photo graph and a magnet onboard as a memory. Good value.

Zwemmen tussendoor is superleuk, het ‘bezoeken’ van het turtle eiland zou verboden moeten worden. Te gek voor woorden dat alle toeristen daar aanleggen op een van de laatste veilige plaatsen voor de turtles

We had a great day on the boat trip, very enjoyable. Couple of good swim stops and the TUI guide kept us up to date on all to look at and what was happening. Unfortunately we did not see any turtles on the trip but had a lovely day.

the transfer was very long from Akyles and the bus used was very very old with little air conditioning the guide could have given more information about the geology of the island and other species that live on it apart from the turtles. more stops for swimming would have been great

Ik vond het rondvaren te lang duren en zou meer tijd in het zwemmen nemen dan helemaal naar Marathonisi varen om daar even in de zee te kunnen springen. Ook klopt de tekst niet helemaal voor wat ze je aanbieden. Ik zou niet benedendeks gaan zitten want het ruikt nogal naar diesel. Het schildpad spotten is geweldig alleen zou ik het op een kleinere boot doen want op deze grote boot is het beperkt met de omvang en het benaderen van de schildpad.

Het was op zich een mooie excursie, en we hebben schildpadden gezien. De tour was Engelstalig, maar de stem van de reisleiding was slecht te verstaan (erg schorre stem). Iemand anders van de groep dacht dat het een man was....(maar het was een vrouwenstem). Ook is het jammer dat de schildpadden zo opgejaagd moesten worden om ze naar boven toe te bewegen. Is daar geen andere manier voor (bijv. om ze te voeren)?

De grotten waren geweldig jammer genoeg een schildpad in de verte gezien voor een paar seconden..De kapitein heeft wel heel erg zijn best gedaan om hem weer op te sporen maar helaas. De service aan boord was uitstekend. Bus vanaf de excursie was slecht niet op de aangewezen locatie afgezet.
