Fabulous day, only small criticism is the tour guide had a very strong accent and I had difficulty understanding him, but he was very efficient and attentive. Overall if we come back to this resort we will definitely do the trip again

Dat onderweg op een ondiep stuk gesnorkeld kon worden was echt geweldig! Tip: Neem wel je eigen snorkelset mee, dat is fijner in gebruik. Gids had wel genoeg snorkelsets bij zich voor degene die dit niet bij zich hadden. Onze gids Raphael ''Castro'' was ook zeer vriendelijk en heeft veel verteld en maakte het leuk. Ondanks dat ik de Engelse taal niet heel machtig ben kon ik de gids in het Engels goed volgen en verstaan.

Die Fahrt ansich zur Insel war sehr gut, der Service an Board war auch sehr gut. Die Besatzung hat für unser Wohlbefinden gesorgt. Der Guide, der auch Deutsch sprechen sollte, hat alles sehr schnell runtergerattert. Ich musste mehrmals nachfragen was er gesagt hat. Das Meer war traumhaft, der Strand auch, nur um ins Wasser zu kommen sind wir über sehr steinigen Untergrund gelaufen, das war nicht sehr schön. Und auch beim Schnorcheln haben wir nur Sand und Seegras gesehen enttäuschend.

Wir haben am 15.03.2026 über TUI einen Ausflug zur Insel Saona gebucht und waren sehr enttäuscht. Der Preis war höher als in der App angegeben. Die Abholung verspätete sich um über 50 Minuten. Der Guide war unfreundlich, hat kaum Informationen gegeben und sogar geschlafen. Das versprochene Essen war bereits weg und wir sollten nur noch Reste essen. Der Katamaran entsprach überhaupt nicht den Bildern und wirkte alt und unsicher. Für diesen Preis absolut nicht akzeptabel.

Glad we choose the more expensive trip. It was a better experience from the activities, snorkeling and private beach. Heard from people who choose the cheaper one that they were disappointed Did not enjoy Swapping buses. It was all chaotic and directed to different ones and eventually sent to the right bus

Poor value for money , not the snorkeling experience it's made out to be, took an absolute age to get there, on a catamaran, snacks on board where cheese on sticks and ham on sticks with fresh fruit on sticks for dessert, also a hand full of nachos, free drinks included, beer , rum, sprite and coke, we eventually got to the island and it's stunning really beautiful but we were then hurried to dinner of salad and barbecue pork chicken and prawns with free drinks as above, no fish in the area ?

Die Insel ist wunderschön, die Sehenswürdigkeiten unterwegs ebenfalls. Allerdings war die Reiseleitung sehr dürftig und schien recht demotiviert, Unterhaltung war nicht wirklich gegeben. Der „private“ Strandabschnitt von TUI ist kein Highlight (gibt schönere Abschnitte auf der Insel, waren in der Vergangenheit mit einem anderen Veranstalter dort). Allem in allem ist es ein schönes Erlebnis, aber die Veranstaltung via TUI würden wir nicht empfehlen (aufgrund besserer Erfahrung mit Anderen).

Long coach to boat and too much changing boats at sea, could be very dangerous. Definitely not worth the money paid as the nibbles on board were the only food that day which consisted of 1x cheese rolled in ham the size of a £1 coin, 2small cubes of ham on a stick and cheese cube on stick with a hand of tortilla chips, that was it for the whole day !!!

Been trying to find rep to cancel but unable to. Was told on welcome meeting there would be someone visible in the morning and afternoons. When finally found rep she said she was in beaches most of day and not palace side. I advised she did not make this clear at meeting. I was unable to make trip as poorly.

Great itinerary and transport guide was good but not a lot of information about Dominican Republic imparted. Good food and snacks on the speedboat. Food on the island not that good some things ran out but the setting was paradise personified. You need rock shoes as coral in sea is sharp under foot. Catamaran return was nice but only 3 drinks in small paper cups over an hour and half journey and no snacks wasn't vfm

We spent extra unneeded time picking up at a central point ,we could have neen picked up 30mins later and had breakfast. Also extra half hour unnecessary at a gift shop. Loved boats and Saona island.

Finger weg vom TUI „Premium“-Ausflug – da war absolut nichts Premium! Gnadenlos überteuert, die Crew hat kaum Stimmung gemacht und der Schnorchelstopp fand bereits 5 Minuten nach Start der Tour statt – zusammen mit unzähligen anderen Booten und angefütterten Fischen. Die „All-inclusive“-Getränke wurden sowohl auf dem Schiff als auch auf der Insel stark rationiert und nur in Pappbechern ausgegeben. Das Essen war ebenfalls ein Witz: pappige Sandwiches, tot gegrilltes Fleisch und ein sehr einfach

We did not enjoy the trip at all. The boat wasn't ready for half an hour after we arrived at the port. The snorkeling experience was very poor. Didn't much enjoy the sand bank & certainly not the experience described. If u didn't drink rum or fizzy drinks there was nothing else. The island however was beautiful & peaceful. For such an expensive excursion at $181.00 both boats were appeared old & poor - 2 hrs returning sat on the floor was not a good experience.

The food on the catamaran was poor. The guides did make a good effort to keep us entertained with drinks and dancing. The stop for snorkelling was poor. Once we reached the island we had time to ourselves before lunch was served which was adequate. The return journey on the speed boat was a terrible for the people seated in the right side of the boat. We also experienced an engine problem and a stop to look at rock formations that wasn’t necessary.

The island was beautiful but not a lot of difference to the coast line we were staying on. Bbq meat was dry and over cooked. The wine was disappointing, not really drinkable. They weren’t consistently topping up our glasses. The guys on the boats made our experience fun. Our TUI rep had a lot of knowledge but we felt he didn’t really want to be there. Long transfers and long day but overall fun experience.

Picked up early. Quite a long drive by bus. Picked up the boat. Offered drinks and snacks. Stopped off for snorkelling. Then stopped off again to get back into shallow water for rum and Coke in the sea. Back on the boat until we reached the island. Absolutely stunning. Our boat was there first so it felt so secluded. Had chance to relax and have a buffet lunch. Catamaran back. Dancing all the way back with plenty of rum. Great staff kept you entertained. Gorgeous day out!

There was no need to have a 5 minute snorkel stop as soon as we’d got on the boat . The sand bank stop was amazing and island was lovely but it was spoilt by poor lunch , being shepherded by a guide ( mesa ) who seemed only interested in himself , and who frequently reminded about tipping him !! & then poor organization for the way back . We got back to our hotel at 7.50pm ! There was no need to have set off so early a.m. as we went back on ourselves & the return was chaotic . Spoilt the trip

I have limited mobility. The rep who sold me the excursion was very aware of this. Told me if I could walk a few hundred yards, the trip would be OK for me to go on. What he didn't mention was having to walk into the water to board the boat, changing boats in heavy waves (more than once) all of which were quite disturbing. If not for some fellow tourists and boat crew manhandling me from boat to boat, I would probably have "lost the plot". Your TUI rep should NEVER have promoted this trip!

Guiden var gapig och stressig. Snorkel stoppet var under all kritik. Alla i båten trodde att det var ett skämt. Vi ankrade en liten bit ut i hamnen. Där kastades det ut bröd så att det kom ett litet stim fiskar. Bassängerna med sjöstjärnorna var häftiga. Ön var helt okej.

Heel erg lange dag, bij het boeken niet gezegd. De tijd op de catamaran was erg leuk, de crew was geweldig. Daarna viel het een beetje dood, jammer. Zeiknat bij de terugreis door opspattend water. Misschien de retour wat leuker maken?

This experience was good overall although we found it to be a very long day . We appreciate that we had to get to the place but saying it was an 8 hr and it ended up being 12 hrs The last stop at the shop was not needed we were all very tired only to be told we were making another stop .

DieTour ist sehr gut organisiert. Der Guide war super. Der Transfer reibungslos.Die Bootsfahrt auf Hin-und Rückfahrt ein Höhepunkt. Der separate Strand mit eigenen Liegen einfach super. Empfehlenswert. Dagegen war das BBQ/Catering am Strand eine absolute Katastrophe. Das Fleisch alt und totgebraten, von dem Hühnchen waren nur noch die Knochen übrig. Die Zeit für das Essen war auf 15/20 Minuten begrenzt. Dann kam die nächste Gruppe.. Wenn etwas verändert werden sollte: Teilen Sie Sandwiches aus.

Extremely disappointing. Cheese and ham snacks on the way there. Rum coke or water. Elderly man had diarrhea all over the toilet on the boat and then washed off in the sea on the island. The food was awful and very limited choice for the price we paid. The pina coladas were lovely. The wine - no words- other than my husband vomited after a sip! The bar had very little choice to say the least. We waite on the catamaran for an hour until another group got on. No snacks and just rum coke or water!

Guide didn’t pre warn when moving on so unable to prepare ie toilet etc. Need to be noted about the walk to/from the coach to boat. Staff on the boats and island were amazing. Overall the trip was a great day out, bonus we saw humpback whales.

Die Fahrt mit den Booten war wunderschön und die Insel ist ein Traum. Für das Schnorcheln hätte ich gerne mehr Zeit gehabt. Es gab nicht für alle Personen Schwimmwesten. Das geht gar nicht! Ansonsten war alles top. Gerne wieder. Sehr netter Reiseführer „Bambi“.

We had such an incredible day on this trip, the fast boat was a bit of a tight squeeze with the amount of people which would be my only nit pick. I was impressed by the drinks and snacks on the fast boat. When we arrived to saona island it was stunning, having our own section of the beach made it even better. The food was incredible and plenty to go round. The guides were amazing, very knowledgable and keen to ensure you have a good time.

Der Bus kam in der Früh 1 Stunde zu spät!!! Kein guter Beginn! Aber später ging alles besser, der Gesamtleiter Bambi hatte alles gut in Griff und insgesamt war das ein langer, 10 Stunden, aber sehr gelungener Ausflug!!! Absolut empfehlenswert!

The only downside was the lunch the chef was cooking up loads of raw prawns with cooked prawns and he was putting the cooked ones on top of the raw ones and using the same tongues for both. I did think I shouldnt get them at the time wish I hadn't of done. I have now had upset stomach and 3 days ended up in bed on my last day of the holiday. Apart from this the trip was good

The overall trip was okay. The visit to the island was nice and the speedboat/catamaran were positives. However, our tour guide was very little help. He did not interact with the guests or offer information about the island or area. On the return journey, he sat on the catamaran with his headphones in and didn't engage in any conversation or offer anything insightful.

Pros: Timing and organisation and quality of guide was first class. Cons: Broken seats on the bus and l would suspect a worn wheel bearing. The food was not up to the standard needed to match a five-star holiday. Our Tui experience on the James Bond Island trip shows what can be achieved. Insufficient shade and seating on the catamaran.

Alles was goed tot zeer goed behalve " het privéstrand" dat had meer iets weg van sardientjes in een blik. Terugreis met de catamaran was fantastisch, we hadden dan ook heel goed weer op zee. Ik zou het nog doen.

This trip should be described as a boat trip as you spend more time on the boat than on the actual island! The guide was rude, constantly shouting orders at us. The island is not private at all, there was about 300 people on it. The food was terrible, me and my partner were ill the next day. My partner is an amputee, the guide had no consideration for him at all. I could say a lot more but I there’s not enough space! Overall I don’t recommend this trip at all! Complete waste of money!!

we got the catamaran out to saona island and it was beautiful, wasn’t too crowded, plenty of drinks & food available. the swimming pool area was lovely too, and the staff and tour guide were really helpful! saona island itself is beautiful and well worth the visit. drinks and food included there too, however I’d recommend taking some money with you to get the wonderful pina coladas there too! and for tipping as a courtesy! speed boat back and was pleasantly smooth!

The guide, Danny, was fantastic, really knowledgeable and was really good fun. Kept us informed, on track and made the day fun! All aspects of the day was really good, snorkeling was a great experience, the natural pool was amazing and the island experience was magical. All of it was worth it.

Todellisuudessa vettä ei saanut laisinkaan hotellilta veneelle ja veneeltä takaisin hotellille kuljetuksissa, jotka olivat useita tunteja. Both boat crews were very good. Guide was very poor with limited interaction, communication barriers and very little info or advice about the experience. The snorkel and shallow pool element was a complete let down, hundreds of people crammed in like cattle... a very impersonal, unauthentic experience. The island was OK, lunch was appalling unless you were a carnivore and the salad etc kept running out. Overall disappointing, but my wife and I made the best of a day we were committed to!

This was an incredible day that we thoroughly enjoyed. The island is beautiful, and the guide Danny (“El Presidente”) was fun and kept us entertained throughout the whole day. I highly recommend it, as it is one of the most beautiful islands I have ever seen.

Aan het strand met palmbomen liggen kan in ons hotel ook. Voor 2,5 uur op Saona is dat een lange boottocht heen en terug niet waard. Bemanning boot was allervriendelijkst en communicatief, dit in tegenstelling tot de gids. Deze laatste communiceerde niet tot nauwelijks. Achteraf hadden wij liever een tocht het binnenland in geboekt en iets meer van het echte land gezien.

This was our third time, so we have a basis for comparison. The beach was nice, although there are nicer ones. The tour guide didn't pay attention to us, skipped the mandatory text, forgot to tell us where the buffet was at lunch, I think a welcome drink would have been included in the price upon arrival, I've experienced this with other companies. Overall, it was a disappointment compared to the previous ones.

I recommend paying the extra to do the private trip, it’s definitely worth it with having longer on the island and having the more private beach! We were looked after by the team& they made the experience really fun from start to finish. Although it is a long day we left at 6.50am &didn’t get back until 7pm. The whole trip is very well organised & the island and stop off points were of course beautiful, we really enjoyed the food & drink on the island too which was included! Totally recommend!

Extrem enttäuschend und ärgerlich. Bei einem Preis von € 160,- pro Person wird man auf einem Partyboot (nur amerikanische Songs und DJ Ötzi und das bei unerträglicher Lautstärke) durch die herrliche Gegend gekarrt. Die Boote waren voll besetzt - 60 % Belegung wie bei der Buchung versprochen weit überschritten. Das Essen war grauenhaft - verbrannt, verdorrt und zäh wie Leder. Rückfahrt auf dem Schnellboot noch lauter - Sitze vibrierten richtig. Beanstandungen wurden ignoriert
