Samos is brimming with cultural and historic riches. And this tour whisks you to some of its best spots, including the Heraion. You'll also visit a monastery and ceramic workshop and explore Potami. Samos is so magnetic that its pull has drawn Irene, one of our guides. She says, ‘As a third generation Greek born and raised in Australia, I came to Samos dreaming of archaeology. In just one day, you'll discover as much of this beautiful island as possible – its history, religion, products and people.'Hera was an important deity in ancient Greece. And, according to legend, she was born in the Heraion, a stone's throw from the Aegean. We'll kick off in the ruins of this sanctuary – now a UNESCO World Heritage Site – strolling along the Sacred Way to see the temple and other relics. Next, you'll visit an Orthodox monastery before dropping by a ceramic workshop in Timos. It gives much-needed work to islanders. You'll receive a Pythagoras cup as a souvenir of your visit.Next up is a visit to an organic olive factory, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the production process and sample a variety of its natural health products. Then, it's on to tiny Potami, a hidden gem where you'll have some free time for lunch. This quaint locale boasts a lovely beach perfect for a leisurely swim in the sparkling waters. If you're up for a bit of adventure, channel your inner Lara Croft and explore the nearby waterfall or the intriguing ruins of a Genoese castle.

Door de rondrit heb je een mooi beeld hoe Samos is. De bezoeken waren interessant en leuk om eens te zien. In Potami hebben we niets gezien buiten het restaurant waar we iets gegeten hebben. We hadden pas om 14u10 ons eten en om 14u30 moesten we alweer op de bus zitten. Dit was heel jammer, hadden graag eens rondgelopen.

Het was een mooie tocht waarin enthousiast werd verteld door gids Hugo over de gewoontes en gebruiken van de Griek. De tijd bij de tempel van Hera liep door omstandigheden wat uit waardoor wij volgens mij geen tijd hadden voor een frisse duik tijdens de lunchtijd. De plekken die wij bezochten waren erg de moeite waard, een aanrader.

Bussen gick sönder och vi fick vänta en timme på reservbuss. Men guider och busschauför var lugna hjälpsamma och gav info och vatten i värmen. Alla var tålmodiga och gjorde det bästa av situationen och hjälpte paret med lilla barnet först. Helt rätt! De båda guiderna Irini och Alexia var bra, tydlig engelska, man förstod dem väl. Bra med hörlurar och mottagare till alla så man hörde guiden var man än stod. Det intressantaste för mig var arkeologin och de historiska platserna. Mer sådant!

It’s a great way to spend the day, surprisingly cheap for a full day. I liked the knowledgable guide for the history bits, she knew stuff, but most importantly was fun to listen to. I feared being endlessly pushed to spend at each stop, but that wasn’t so. Three of the stops had shopping opportunities, but they were primarily learning and experiences you’d not find at home. The stop in Potami was a beautiful spot for lunch. Although the restaurant is only OK, not great not terrible.

Wycieczka byla bardzo ciekawa. Jedyne co bym zmienila to zrezygnowala z jednej atrakcji, na przyklad degustatcji wina, na rzecz czasu wolnego w Potami. Najwyzej oceniam prace przewodnika. Kasia bardzo umiejetnie zaprezentowala nam wyspe, ciekawie i z pasja opowiadala oraz zarazala dobrym humorem i energia.

Wycieczka zorganizowana przez Pania Kasie byla pod kazdym wzgledem fantastyczna. Kazdy aspekt byl wyczerpujaco omówiony, dowiedzielismy sie bardzo wiele na temat wyspy samos , zorganizowane atrakcje byly bardzo ciekawe i kazdy uczestnik grupy bardzo dobrze sie przy nich bawil. This tour packs a lot in and has very informative guides who at times were giving the information in German followed by English. Other times just in English. The only let down is the lunch stop, TUI clearly have an arrangement with the restaurant they stop at but the choice is poor (given a menu with 8 or so items on) and service so slow when you only have 90mins there. If you go to the beach instead of the restaurant there is a much better beach bar but we were not told this.

Great way to explore the island. Enjoyed all activities particularly the wine tasting and pottery. Maybe a longer time for lunch stop if wish to visit waterfalls.

Lunch stop was poor service . Trying to deal with too many customers. Left no time to explore. View from restaurant was coaches! Appreciate restaurant has to cater for different levels of mobility however there was a lovely restaurant on the beach for people that could walk and navigate foot path. Think this should be highlighted. Restaurant signposted to felt more like a service station restaurant. Not enough staff. My husband managed to eat all his meal before I was served mine.

Das war eher eine Verkaufsfahrt als eine Inseltour. Mehr von der Insel wäre schöner, als von einem Verkaufsstand zum nächsten. So hat man das Gefühl, los kauft was und dann ab zum Nächsten bei dem ihr euer Geld ausgebt

Svårt att hitta något, men kanske ett specifikt tillfälle var ju vid krukmakeriet. Man fick svårt att se något av händelsen pga att alla skulle stå så nära, bättre att göra en större båge / ring så att alla fårmöjligheten att kunde se. Vi påpekade detta också vid tillfället.

Juste un site historique. Tout le reste n’est que commercial poterie,vin et huile. Il faudrait au moins ajouter un 2ème site ou arrêter à Samos par exemple en permettant de visiter le musée. Long trajet pour ne rien voir. Ne parle qu’en néerlandais et anglais. Les francophones sont oubliés.

Bardzo dobry lunch w tawernie. Optymalny czas wycieczki. I tylko trzy wizyty w zakladach to byc moze o jedna za duzo, ale to moje zdanie po 30 wizytach w Grecji. Inni moga miec odmienne zdanie. Wycieczka warta "wziecia" chocby z uwagi na znakomita Rezydentke!

Bardzo dobrze zorganizowana wycieczka fakultatywna. Pani Kasia (Przewodnik) wlasciwa osoba na wlasciwym miejscu. Najlepszy przewodnik jakiego do tej pory spotkalismy na wycieczkach a Wami.

Hera Tempel/Klooster, winery, pottery en olijffabriek leuk en informatief. Mooie, groene tour over het eiland. Kwaliteit lunch viel erg tegen, eetschuur, niet aan te bevelen. Excursie niet geschikt voor kleine kinderen die de hele tour lawaai maakten in de bus en tijdens uitleg.

Przewodnik Kasia jest niesamowita osoba, bardzo zyczliwa, wesola i z ogromna wiedza odnosnie wyspy. Pomoze w kazdej sytuacji, na kazde pytanie odpowie. Wycieczka byla niesamowita, wspaniale przygotowana, pozwolila poznac zakatki wyspe i niekoniecznie te turystyczne. Podróz byla przyjemna i niewyczerpujaca. Widoki byly piekne. Goraco polecam wycieczki z Kasia!!!

Wspaniala rezydentka Kasia, której obecnosc nie tylko na wycieczce ale ogólnie w hotelu, jest nieoceniona!
