Cosa aspettarsi
Immaginate un luogo dove le sabbie del deserto sono state toccate dalla magia della polvere di stelle di Hollywood. L'avete trovato con questo tour di due giorni, che vi mostrerà alcune delle più famose location cinematografiche della Tunisia. Visiterete un anfiteatro romano, esplorerete case-grotta sotterranee, attraverserete un vasto lago salato e scoprirete un'oasi isolata ai margini del Sahara. Hamdi, una delle nostre esperte guide locali, dice: "Tra Matmata e Douz, ci sono infinite "ergs" - dune di sabbia - nel deserto irrequieto. Questo deserto non è un'entità morta, in alcuni punti è addirittura coltivato da chi lo abita. Le sabbie si animano a seconda delle stagioni".Iniziate la vostra avventura sabbiosa al Colosseo di El Jem. Questo antico teatro romano ospitava 35.000 spettatori, intrattenuti da combattimenti di gladiatori e corse di bighe. Poi vi recherete a Matmata, dove pranzerete e visiterete le case-grotta scavate nella roccia che sono state protagoniste di due film di Guerre Stellari. Concludete la giornata nella città-oasi di Douz, circondata da palme da dattero, per un pernottamento. È un luogo ideale per fare un giro facoltativo in cammello o in carrozza nel deserto.Dopo la colazione, attraverserete Chott el Djerid, un lago salato pieno di miraggi, prima di salire su un 4x4 per un giro a Onk Jemal, dove scoprirete la città set cinematografico costruita per Star Wars. Dopo il pranzo a Gafsa, concluderete il tour con una sosta fotografica a Kairouan, un luogo ideale per scattare molte foto degne di Instagram dell'intricata architettura islamica per cui la città è nota.

Overall we had a fantastic time however we would liked more time at the colosseum We were not made aware of the length of time we would be on the bus From being picked up at 5.30 we didn’t get to the hotel until 7pm. Was told the camel ride would be at sunset it wasn’t on day 2 day started at 4am And not back to our hotel until 6.30pm Would have preferred to go to salt lake then the jeep drive and then come straight back The stop to look at the carpets was in our opinion a waste of time

Amazing experience from start to finish. Felt very safe going by myself. Tui rep, Hamdi, and driver did an amazing job. Just one thing! Last evening at Golden Yasmin Hotel. In the restaurant, one of the young waiters was putting money into his pocket when guests paid him directly. Could have been tips. There were no prices shown for drinks. He attempted to charge me 60 TD for 1 bottle of white wine and 1bottle of water. But when queried, he dropped the cost to 54/55 TD.

The camels and the sun set were the highlight. The sun rise and the 4x4 trips was also good. The early start and the hours travelling were the down side. More time at the colliseum would have been good. Just a little rushed when you were off the bus.

The guide - DALI (Mohammed Ali) was fantastic and made the trip very enjoyable. His knowledge and providing for all the visitors was fantastic. The trip over two days were long, however, there was plenty of stops. The Sahara sunset was amazing. The Jeep safari was one of the highlights. Sunrise on the salt plains was fantastic. Karouan could have been a little longer. This I felt was too short.

This was the best trip. Beautiful country and beautiful people. I highly recommend visiting Sakhalin, this is an unforgettable experience. The guide Hamdi is very professional and very interestingly told the history of Tunisia. Every two hours there were stops to go and buy souvenirs. A very well-built route will allow you to see the sights and nature of Tunisia. The hotel we staid over nightwas very nice. The staff who serviced the hotel were very high up. Camel ride was unforgettable.

Very nice trip, well organized. The only thing I didn’t like was that you have to pay for your drinks during meals regardless that the food was provided and it was very good. It was a lot of driving but well worth because you get to visit a lot of attractions and you get to see a lot of the country. The guid was very nice and knowledgeable, in my opinion well worth the money and time highly recommend.

A great trip with a great guide and driver. So much to see. Its a long two days but we signed up for that. Our only disappointment was lunch on day one. The chicken was very undercooked.

Výlet byl úplne úžasný. Krásné výlhedy, momenty strávené na sahare a milý pruvodce. Akorát jsme nedostali informace, že budeme muset ješte pár vecí doplácet, jakožto drink u obedu nebo pokoj v jednom z hotelu ci jízdu na velbloudovi. To je asi jediné co bych vytkla, ale rozhodne tento výlet doporucuji každému, kdo sem pojede. Pozor na obchodníky na poušti, hlavne na ty s fenky.

Far too long on the coach to see very little at the end of the journeys. Poor quality food at the last hotel which was supposed to be 5* !! To see the mosque at end of day two you have to walk through a shop & have a carpet salesman pitch his sales at you. I asked the TUI Rep if there was any carpet/perfume stops (because I don't like them!) he said there was not - a blatant lie. Drinks & snacks very expensive where we had to stop. A 3.15am start should have been explained prior to booking.

Was an absolutely amazing trip, although very hot reached 46°c at one point, the only downside was that the chicken in the last restaurant which we were told.was a 5* was undercooked, my daughter noticed and didnt eat it however my partner ate it and was really sick after

Developed food poisoning from the trip. Shame but true. The guide was amazing, fantastic character. Would love more stories / history of Tunisia from on the trip, incredibly long time on the bus. Was tough as guide had to translate everything 3 times, French,English & German. Was very interesting.

Understandably it’s a lot of travelling but I felt the travel on the second day just to see the outside of a mosque and a very small shop wasn’t worth the length of time. This part could be changed. The hotel was basic but fine. The food provided was adequate for adults but i certainly think some allowances should be made for kids to include more basic options like chips and chicken nuggets for fussy eaters

Przygoda zycia. Zobaczylismy wiele, od glównych atrakcji turystycznych, po codzienne zycie ludzi mieszkajacych w glebi kraju. Zachód slonca na Saharze i wschód slonca nad jeziorem zostana w pamieci juz na zawsze. Na wycieczke pojechalismy z dziecmi 4 i 9 lat - bez problemu daly rade, pomimo wczesnych pobudek.

Overall the trip was amazing, some parts either need clarifying before purchase or improving from my perspective. Clarify how long you will be sat on a coach Mosque visit seems an afterthought to view from top of a shop Would be nice for water to be included on the coach and maybe a drink or two at the hotels Make sure people know this is two very early morning starts

1. Pani przewodnik niestety wg mnie nie bardzo sobie radzila z komunikacja i relacjami z grupa. Juz po pierwszym wyjsciu do el jem nie doliczyla sie 3 osób. 2 os. dotarly a 3 nie istniala. Brak biezacej informacji o tym co sie dzieje, Gdzie jedziemy. Te informa je byly niewystarczajace. Czyranie z kartki monotonnym i ponurym tonem danych o Tunezji byly okropne. Zadnych ciekawych historii, zartów i zagajen. Brak oprowadzania po ciekawych miejscach. Za to duzo naciaganych wydarzen pseudoturyst.

Would have given 10/10 however one element of the itinerary was missed. "The rock cut village of Matmata to explore". We didn't stop here but just one home, we were expecting a village. The other downs were the hotel in Doux, apart from the reception area, seemed very dated, make sure you take the 2 pin plugs (like the UK shaver plugs) we didn't. We didn't use the pool, it was extremely busy. Overall, a great experience I'd recommend.. WOW ! Lots of travel and 4 am starts both days Saw loads

Whole experience was excellent, well managed by driver Slah and Guide Mo. Particularly enjoyed the experiences at Colloseum, Camel ride and Jeep Adventure in desert. Not particularly impressed with overnight hotel. Couldn’t get air conditioning to cool room down and food wasn’t up to much, but well worth the swollen ankles and sweat

It was a lot further than we expected but saw a lot of the country with some exciting excursions. Rep who sold us this experience was very economical about the timings how long each excursion would take. Eg 1.5hrs to first destination which too approx 3hrs
