Larger-than-life Lanzarote legend Cesar Manrique left his imprint all over the island, but nowhere more so than the north. The architect was inspired by the region's extraordinary geology. This tour takes in three of his works – the Green Caves, Jameos del Agua and Mirador del Rio. David, one of our local guides, says, ‘The north of the island was a canvas for Manrique's palette. As he used to say, “The north is still the traditional Lanzarote”.'First up are the Green Caves, where a maze of galleries and stairways lead you to a natural auditorium. These caverns – 16 have been discovered so far – are air bubbles that are linked by a tunnel created by the lava flow from a volcanic eruption. Manrique was instrumental in adapting the cave system for visitors. His influence is even more pronounced in the Jameos del Agua. Here, he harmonised this roofless volcanic cave, adding rock gardens and a glassy lake, filled with blind, white crabs found only in Lanzarote.Also on the agenda is Mirador del Rio, one of Manrique's most sci-fi creations. Not only does this viewpoint blend in seamlessly with its surroundings atop a 470m cliff, but it boasts wow-factor vistas across to the island of La Graciosa. Next, you'll head to Haria for a lunch made from locally sourced ingredients in a typical Canarian house. Plus, there's a pit stop to see the famed ‘red house' in the fishing village of Arrieta.

As a group of 4 adults and 2 young people age 13 and 11 we all enjoyed the trip including the food. There was a lot packed into the day but we didn’t feel ‘overloaded’ by it all .

Pros: - sehr gute Reiseleiterin mit vielen interssanten Informationen rund um Lanzarote und die Sehenswürdigkeiten, wenig Wartezeiten/gute Organisation Cons: - sehr volle Sehenswürdigkeiten, etwas zu wenig Zeit bei den meisten Stops Wetterbedingt war die Aussicht vom Mirador del Río nicht vorhanden. Dabei ist uns aufgefallen, dass dieses Phänomen häufiger vormittags zu beobachten ist und deshalb evtl. dieser Punkt des Ausflugs besser Nachmittags gemacht werden sollte.

Die Grüne Höhle und Jameos de Aqua waren super. Das Essen war leider eine üble Touristenabspeisung, wo wir uns auch überhaupt nicht wohl und willkommen gefühlt haben. Bei der AloeVera Farm hätten wir uns noch eine Führung zu den Aloe-Feldern gewünscht. Wir hatten aber überall genügend Zeit , um uns in Ruhe umzusehen und der Guide hat uns sehr viel Interessantes erzählt.

Guide was awful. Worse trip ever. It should be clear that this trip is not suitable for toddlers and small children. Pick up at 8:30 -no stop for coffee/toilets till 2pm. Aggressive guide shouting and giving us a lecture on social media for under 25s. No itinerary shared. Food inedible at lunch. Long journey due to swap over of customers taking over an hour -APPALLING will be advising on social media NOT to go on this trip.

Robert was onze gids, wist heel veel te vertellen en dat vond ik juist leuk. We zijn er onvoorbereid in gegaan, voor het eerst, en dat maakt de info juist leuker. Tijdens van alles prima, niet te lang en tijd voldoende. De buschauffeur Omar reed heel fijn rustig. Ook prettig. Deze trip was tip van Sonja (samen met de Timanfaya toer), zodat we geen auto hoefden te huren. En het was een top tip!

Super war die zügige Abholung. Die Busfahrerin ist zügig aber sehr sicher gefahren. Die Reiseleiterin war sehr freundlich und hat geduldig alle Fragen beantwortet. Ausflugsorte sehr schön. Mittagessen war in Ordnung. Einziger Mangel war der Preis. Bei allem Verständnis, dass alles teurer wird, ist der Preis einfach zu hoch. Ich war mit drei Kindern da. Also 380 Euro für eine!! Fahrt. Bei zwei Ausflügen ist es ein Vermögen. Vielleicht mal über Familien - oder Mengenrabatte nachdenken. Sonst super

We thoroughly enjoyed the excursion at the most part. The only problem that we had was when we were told that we would go to the market but did not have any time to actually see it as this was at the same stop as our lunch location.Our guide did try to help us by giving us some additional time but unfortunately was still not sufficient enough.

The stop off locations were highly interesting. The scenery at lookout point was stunning and the caves were fascinating and so unique. The tour guide was also first class and made the trip more interesting with lots of facts relating to each stop off A small complaint about the amount of time allocated to some stops.

Das war unsere schönste Tour. Beide Höhlen war sehr interessant und gerade der Kontrast zwischen der "naturbelassenen" "Verde"-Höhle und der Jamoes del Agua ist krass. Der kurze Besuch auf der Aloe-Farm war sehr informativ. Unser Highlight war der Stopp in Haria. Das Mittagessen war gut, aber der kleine Markt in Dorf war wirklich schön und zum Glück reichte die Zeit vor Ort aus, um dorthin zu gehen. Der Ausblick vom Mirador del Rio war auch toll. Wirklich schöne Tour!!!!!

Das Rote Haus war für uns nicht besonders interessant , mehr Zeit auf dem typisch Spanischen Markt ( nach Mittagessen ) und zur erkundung des Dorfes hätten wir persönlich besser gefunden . Es kam durch die Taktung der Essensgäste zudem das Gefühl des Zeitdruckes und der Massenabfertigung auf .

De tour maakt je bekent met het ontstaan en opbouw van het eiland. Zeer gaaf eens door een vulkaantunnel te kunnen lopen en de architectuur te mogen bewonderen. En Germa heeft ons een goed inzicht van het eiland gegeven.

Mooie tour. Met verschillende leuke bezienswaardigheden. Aloe Vera plantage valt een beetje tegen. Maar de overige bezienswaardigheden zijn zeker de moeite waard. Onze reisleider Robert, wist erg veel over het eiland en de vulkanen. Hij vertelde enthousiast en met een flinke dosis humor, zowel in het Nederlands als in het Engels. The guide should introduce himself straight away when getting on the coach. His name was Robert who was Dutch and the coach was mainly Dutch. Found it very difficult to concentrate when listening to him speaking to the Dutch travellers. When booking it should be made clear if the bus won’t be just English speaking or multilingual . This was disappointing.

De reisleider rob was super hij vertelde heel veel over het eiland, het was een leuke tour. We gaan gaan vrijdag weer on tour en hopen rob weer te krijgen . Verder was er een lunch bij, meestal steld het niet veel voor maar dit keer was alleseters en goed. Zeker een aanrader.

Mir hat fast alles gut gefallen.schade war das wir an der Ostküste keinen Photostop gemacht haben um den weißen Sand zu fotografieren. Schade war,das es bei jedem Ausflug zum Mittagessen Hähnchenschenkel gab. Und nicht Paella oder etwas anderes spanisches.

Während der Nordtour mit Maria haben wir vielfältige Eindrücke und Informationen von und über Lanzarote bekommen. Wir besichtigten die Jameos Verdes, fuhren durch das Tal der 1000 Palmen (das Mittagessen dort war seeehr lecker...), waren völlig fasziniert von dem fantastischen Ausblick auf La Graciosa am Mirador del Rio und besuchten eine Aloevera-Farm. Den krönenden Abschluss dieser Tour bildete der Besuch der Jameos del Agua. Unbeschreiblich, was César Manrique für Lanzarote geleistet hat...

A long day. Not informed of how cold the north is. Lunch poor quality. The wine cheap Spanish red wine. Nobody could drink it. The guide should always stand by the door of the bus when people are exiting not go off speaking to other guides/drivers. I would like to of heard more of the culture of the Spanish people. It did not justify the cost in my opinion. If I had known the guide had to speak in 3 languages I would not have gone.

Die Reiseleitung Sina hat uns viele Informationen, auch außerhalb der angefahrenen Stationen gegeben. Wir hätten allerdings nicht mehr zur Aloe Vera Finka gemusst und hätten dafür gern am Aussichtspunkt Mirador Del Rio noch mehr Zeit gehabt, um einen Kaffee zu trinken. Insgesamt war es aber ein sehr schöner Tagesausflug.

The places we visited were brilliant and we enjoyed visiting them all. Unfortunately all but 5 of us were German and the guide spent most of the day speaking in German with very little English this did spoil our experience as we didn’t feel we received all the relevant information.

Tour insgesamt sehr gut. Schöne Aussichtspunkte und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Leider zu wenig Zeit eben dort. Die Rückkehr beim Hotel war mehr als eine Stunde vor Plan. Hätten wir über diese Zeit aufgeteilt auf die einzelnen Stopps verfügen können, wäre es richtig toll und weniger getrieben gewesen. Ein bisschen schade.

What a fantastic tour myself and my grandson (6yr) thoroughly enjoyed every minute, Rob the tour guide was friendly well knowledgeable and interacting with everyone, the caves we visited we absolutely stunning, the sights we saw were spectacular, we visited a local village for dinner, such a great selection of food chicken strips were a godsend for my grandson lol Overall I would give this tour 10/10

Unser Guide Sina hat uns sicher, unterhaltsam und sehr freundlich geführt. So schöne Eindrücke von Cueva de los Verdes, El Golfo, Mirador del Rio, Casa Juanita und Jameos del Agua. Aus unserer Sicht hätte es nur die Aloevera-Farm nicht gebraucht, stattdessen (wir waren Samstag unterwegs) z. B. Zeit für den Markt am Mittagsort.

Eine Tour, die voll zufriedenstellend war. Kein Stress, es war genug Zeit sich alles in Ruhe anzusehen. Wir können die Tour nur empfehlen. Cueva de los Verdes ist mit den vielen Treppen schon sehr anstrengend, wenn man nicht ganz so gut zu Fuß ist.

Höhlen waren Top man muss nur gut aufpassen und gutes Schuhwerk haben. Mittagessen war gut gemacht und hat gut geschmeckt, Auch die Aloe Wera Farm war schön anzusehen und wurde gut erklärt.

De gids was nogal negatief over Duitsers. Ook zijn toon was vaak belerend. Vertaling in Nederlands niet altijd zo goed als in het Engels. 1,5 uur bij de laatste bezienswaardigheid is veelste lang.

Die Tour war sehr gut durchorganisiert. Wir konnten alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sehen. Manchmal wurden wir ziemlich schnell durchgeschleust. Die Werbebesuche (Aloe) müssen wahrscheinlich mit eingeplant werden um den Preis halten zu können?

Poor
Guide seem to speak mostly German. We totally missed the cave tour as we taught it was just a toilet stop. By the time we qued for toilets and came out our guide was gone. We sat watching the bus and when the guide arrive back we realised we had missed the caves. Very disappointing. They dropped us back not at the pickup point but a good distance from it. They told it it was just down the road but was a fair walk.

The tour guide was very good, giving a lot of information. The meal was very good. Places we visited were lovely. More information when we booked the tour on how narrow the pathway was and how low the roof in the caves would have prepared me for having to crouch down with my arthritis.

We enjoyed the whole tour. The one complaint I have is the restaurant used. There were at least two other coaches there and the facilities ie one toilet is not the standard I would expect from Tui.

Der Tour Guide Daniel und die Busfahrerin Carmen Maria waren ein absolutes Traumteam und haben die Ausfahrt wunderbar gestaltet. Kann man wirklich nur empfehlen.

Well worth doing, sights that you just won’t see anywhere else. Labelling of food at the venue re allergens would have been helpful, but site staff English was good and they were helpful. Maybe cut out the Aloe Vera place and give us longer at Jameos or Mirador?

Wurden nicht vom Hotel abgeholt. Insgesamt verbrachten wir 3 1/2 Stunden um Teilnehmer von verschiedenen Hotels ein und auszuladen. Für die Sehenswürdigkeiten blieb zu wenig Zeit übrig. Das Mittagessen war okay, aber nichts besonderes. Die TUI Dame am 20.3. war sehr unfreundlich
