Un famoso luogo di bellezza dei Balcani e i migliori vini della Bulgaria sono in serbo per questa grande giornata. Farete un tour a piedi di Nessebar, patrimonio dell'UNESCO, e visiterete una delle cantine più quotate del Mar Nero per una degustazione di vini. Elena, una delle nostre esperte guide locali, dice: "Per mille anni la chiesa di Santa Sofia è stata uno dei siti religiosi più importanti della regione del Mar Nero. Fu costruita nel V secolo ed è una delle chiese più antiche del mondo".Tutto inizia con una visita guidata a piedi del centro storico di Nessebar. Racchiusa in una stretta penisola che si protende sul Mar Nero, questa parte antica della città vanta una tale ricchezza di manufatti da essere dichiarata Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO. Ci sono così tanti strati di storia che gli archeologi hanno dovuto studiare i resti sottomarini della città per comprenderne la storia. Hanno scoperto che fu abitata per la prima volta dai Traci, seguiti da Greci, Romani e Ottomani.Passeggiate per le strade tortuose, orlate di vecchie case in legno, tra una dozzina di chiese storiche, la più antica delle quali risale a 1.500 anni fa. Al termine del tour, avrete molto tempo libero per esplorare da soli. A completare l'esperienza è la visita alla DiVes Estate Winery, dove una sessione di degustazione vi farà assaggiare un trio dei migliori vini bulgari circondati dal paesaggio della campagna. Elena dice: "Il vino rosato è un pezzo forte. È il prodotto di un vitigno locale bulgaro noto come Pamid, che prospera in riva al mare e produce un vino pieno di sapori sottili e freschi".

Excursion was excellent but the directions for the pick up poi t and the customers services to find out more about the pick up point was extremely poor. The only saving grace was Muhammad who saved the day for us

The tour was the town was very informative. We liked getting to explore it on our own too. The wine tasting was a bit disappointing. We thought we would get more varieties to try rather than just a white, rose and red.

Nessebar is a must see town. We all loved it! Our guide was well informed and surprised us with a stop for delish tea and later Bulgarian yughurt desert. I wish the trip started at 12pm (not 2pm) so there was a bit more time as Nessebar. Other than that 5*. Thanks!

We expected to have a tour of the place where the wine was actually made looking at the pictures of the trip before we booked.It was more of a wine tasting of 3 glasses of wine.We would have liked more free time we only had about 40mins wasn't enough to look around it was rushed

The English guide was superb. Friendly and informative. Beautiful sites and excellent points of interest. This was not a small tour. It was a large coach full of people. Split into non English speaking and english speaking. Still excellent though

Our guide was extremely good, she had all the historical facts in her head and was very entertaining. Needed a little more time at the village but will probably go back. The vineyard tour was also very good, it would be helpful if the cost of carriage of small orders were available.

Excellent local knowledge, just the right walking pace and enough time to get some souvenirs. The wine tasting was excellent, with good pointers as to what you could taste in the wines as well as a history of the vineyard.

From the get go the guide was very relaxed and funny with his delivery of the tour. It wasn't boring in the slightest and we ended up having the best day of the whole holiday! Would definitely recommend to anyone who will listen, good job TUI!
