Cosa aspettarsi

Guardare il cielo illuminarsi di sfumature arancioni e poi spegnersi nell'oscurità in cima a un vulcano è una sensazione speciale. Questo tour ricco di drammi vi porta sull'Etna, una meta imperdibile per chi si trova in Sicilia. Vi recherete ad un'altitudine di quasi 3.000 metri per ammirare il tramonto e poi vi rilasserete con un pasto tradizionale per concludere la vostra avventura.Arriverete sull'Etna in minibus e poi, quando il terreno diventa più roccioso, passerete a un veicolo 4x4. Durante il tragitto verso i 2.900 metri sul livello del mare - il punto più alto raggiungibile in sicurezza - si faranno delle soste per ammirare il paesaggio aspro e lunare e i fianchi ricoperti di lava di questa montagna imponente.Assicuratevi di indossare scarpe comode e strati caldi: ad alta quota fa freddo. Dopo aver ammirato il panorama vicino alla vetta, una guida alpina esperta vi condurrà a 2.500 m, meno esposto, dove potrete ammirare il tramonto in una posizione più comoda. Poi, sulla via del ritorno, vi fermerete al ristorante di uno chalet per una cena tipica siciliana.

Fabulous experience - and Fabio was just the best guide. And Mario was an excellent coach driver. All the staff on Etna were great. The mix of activities and organisation of the trip were excellent. Thank you.

Amazing experience, amazing guide! Great value for money, we would highly recommend. Some confusion on what to wear - we went in July when sicily was 35 degrees, but it does get cold + windy up Etna. Would recommend proper footwear (trainers OK!), long trousers, a hoodie/jumper and a light jacket, this will do! Don't need to have thermals or anything more.

The sunset tour was highly enjoyable . Our guide Fabio was excellent, fully informative from start to finish , his enthusiasm for Mount Etna and Sicily shone through, also our Volcano expert Antonio who met us at Etna was equally as good . Finished off with a dinner at a local restaurant, was basic but no real complaints, very enjoyable trip and would thoroughly recommend, word of warning, it is a long day , it’s very windy at the top and can get cold so be prepared but we loved it

Great

We did two seperate walks at different levels, the first was across a reasonably flat surface and quite easy, the second up to and around a flank crater was much harder, due to the loose surface. Unfortunately the sunset tour didnt happen, because of the clouds

Very knowledgable, personable guide. Fantastic journey in the 4*4 trucks for part of the serious ascent. Then a good walk for the final few hundred meters to 2900m. Temperatures dropped sharply there and wind was very strong, requiring fitness and warm clothing which could have been better emphasised in the tour blurb. Some less mobile people struggled with the gradient and loose gravel on this bit. Etna and it’s craters were breathtaking before and during the sunset. This tour is a must.

Prompt pick up by coach. Friendly, knowledgeable guide with excellent English. The honey farm was really enjoyable getting an opportunity to taste lots of things. The offer of jackets to hire for only €5 was good as thick cloud did set in for us, even on August 1st! The dinner was very good offering 4 courses with wine. Don’t really have any negatives!

Isabella was very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. The wine tasting was a little quick but appreciate it wasn’t the key part of the trip. Mountain guide made us feel safe - but you probably should highlight the best view is through climbing a crater. Which some may not be able to do. Restaurant food was good too, but a vegetarian would not be able to eat the pork and we weren’t asked if we were vegetarian or not ( I am not). But overall a great trip which I highly recommend
