This tukxi tour takes you to Monte – one of Madeira's most easy-on-the-eye mountain towns. Wander among beautiful blooms in the public gardens and visit Our Lady of Monte Church – final resting place of Austria's last emperor. And if you like a bit of adventure, there's the option of a wicker toboggan ride downhill to Livramento, too.

We enjoyed everything. The driver explained everything. He knew exactly what was going on. He took us around the older parts of the Town. He was extremely knowledgeable. He shared his love for Funchal and the Island, Madeira. A worthwhile trip..not to be missed.

What a great experience. João Silva, ‘John’ our driver on our Monte Tukxi Tour was excellent! His English was brilliant & throughout our 2 hour tour, his driving was so safe & nothing too much trouble. He took us all over Funchal & his historical and factual knowledge of the city was great. He showed us all the specific places we asked about & took us up the mountain, to do Toboggan run & met us again at the bottom. Such a special way to tour Funchal. Would highly recommend! Thank you!

It was brilliant to see the cobbled streets that would have been missed by a hop on hop off bus. Our guide was lovely and we saw out of the way village and backstreets.

Wäre schön, wenn man der Hotelrezeption hinterlegt, dass man vor der Tür wartet (rechts/links vom Eingang) - dient der besseren Orientierung gleich zu Beginn (guter Einstieg in die Tour)

Het was leuk om met zon autootje de berg op te gaan naar Monte. Autootje moest wel hard werken maar we hebben mooie uitzichten gezien onderweg en genoten van het ritje chauffeur heeft netjes op ons gewacht en teruggebracht naar het hotel

Het was een super enthousiaste Nederlandse gids, die veel vertelde en uitlegde over de omgeving. We werken goed verzorgt met dekentjes en ze maakte ook foto's. De tour was geweldig maar de reisadviseur van TUI had deze voor ons geboekt terwijl ik had aangegeven wat ons doel was in Monte, het bezoeken van de botanische tuin en de Toboggan rit. Mar wat bleek de Toboggan is altijd dicht op zondag, dus moesten wij dag erna met de auto daar weer heen. Dit is een beetje suf dat zij dit niet wist.

The level of service from the Tukxi driver Maggie was excellent always with a smile, her indepth knowledge of the island was good. The people at Monte were pleasant and helpful.

Dat je min voor 3 pers kon boeken ( tuk ) en niet aan gegeven dat er op zondag geen togen ( slee ) ging , dat was het enigen rest ??
