If you fancy getting under the skin of Madeira's capital city, then this tour is the perfect place to start. You'll explore Funchal on a walking tour through the old town and farmer's market, followed by free time and a visit to the botanical gardens. There's also a tasting of Madeira wine for good measure.You'll kick off this tour in the middle of the bustling farmer's market, Mercado dos Lavradores, where you'll be able to take in the sights and smells of all the fresh produce, flowers and fish on display. Then, it's time to amble through the old town with your guide, checking out the cathedral and painted doors as you go.Enjoy some free time for lunch, then re-join the tour to sip a glass of Madeira wine as you learn all about the island's tipple in a typical winery. You'll end the day at the botanical gardens in upper Funchal, surrounded by endemic and imported flowers and plants.

Haben Lufthansa gebucht, geflogen sind wir mit Airline TAP Portugal. Diese Airline tlw. unorganisiert. Das Hotel war sehr schön, das Personal sehr nett, der Blick vom Zimmer - traumhaft. Manchmal gab es keine Cola/Saft mehr, Gläser fehlten, ob zu den Mahlzeiten oder auch an der Selbstbedienungs-Beach-Bar, auch tlw unorganisiert. Das nur nebenbei. Wir haben uns gut entspannt, erholt und dennoch durch gebuchte Aktionen Spaß und Action gehabt. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Familienurlaub.
