On this day trip, you will visit some of Iceland's most stunning sights and will be able to make the most out of your day. The day starts with a visit to the Geysir geothermal area, where the active Strokkur geyser shoots a column of water up to 30 meters into the air every 4-8 minutes.The trip continues to Gullfoss waterfalls, a two-step waterfall filled with meltwater from Langjökull glacier. You will also visit the geological wonder of Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart a few centimeters every year.You will also visit the sustainable Friðheimar greenhouse, an eco-friendly farm where the geothermal heat helps to grow delicious tomatoes and where methods to manage pests are biological. The trip was fabulous and the guide very knowledgeable and was helpful and friendly and made the whole trip fun. Great day out for a flavour of Iceland.
