La vieille ville de Kairouan fait écho au passé de la Tunisie avec un air de sérénité qui a peu changé à travers les siècles. Cette visite vous propose de découvrir des sites empreints d'histoire, tels que le colisée romain d'El Djem, la deuxième plus ancienne mosquée du continent africain et la médina de Kairouan. L'intérieur de la Grande Mosquée est fait de piliers et d'arcs interminables, de tapis colorés et de lustres illuminés qui ajoutent à la beauté de l'espace. Même les canalisations sont décorées de pierres complexes."Nous commencerons par la ville fortifiée de Kairouan. Protégée par des murs de grès, la médina de la vieille ville est un labyrinthe de ruelles, de maisons blanchies à la chaux avec des volets colorés et des arcades en briques, invitant à la découverte. Vous visiterez ensuite l'incontournable Grande Mosquée de Kairouan, considérée comme l'un des plus beaux exemples d'architecture islamique de la région. Outre le splendide intérieur de la mosquée, le complexe comprend une grande salle de prière, une cour à arcades et un minaret.Un autre site important de Kairouan est le mausolée de Sidi Sahbi. Connu pour ses magnifiques tuiles et ses décorations en stuc, c'est un lieu de pèlerinage populaire. Un arrêt est prévu pour déjeuner avant de visiter l'amphithéâtre El Djem, le troisième plus grand amphithéâtre construit par les Romains. À son apogée, il pouvait accueillir jusqu'à 35 000 spectateurs qui s'entassaient dans ses gradins pour acclamer les gladiateurs au combat.

Mooie moskee, museum en amfitheater in El Jem. Jammer dat we opnieuw eerst werden opgehaald, 1,5 uur in Hammamet rondreden om mensen op te halen en na de uitstap weer 1,5 uur werden rondgereden. Toen ik de gids Dali daarop attent maakte en zei dat Tui-verantwoordelijke Samir gezegd had dat de eerst opgepikte mensen eerst zouden afgezet worden, kreeg ik het cynische antwoord: Groetjes aan Samir. Daarom gaven we geen fooi. Dat moesten we de volgende bekopen bij de volgende uitstap: geen goededag..

Wow! What an amazing tour. Yes it’s long but it’s worth it for all the amazing sights you’ll see. The guide is incredibly informative and you’ll leave with a lot of knowledge. Felt very safe and comfortable. I’m a woman traveller with my young son and we both agree that it was a wonderful day out for many reasons. You’ll not be disappointed.

Our rep, Dali, was fab. He was very knowledgeable about our specific trip as well as well as Tunisia as a whole. He kept us entertained and made sure he was available for any questions or support that we needed The coach was very clean, the driver was also very friendly The trip itself was very interesting, definitely worth doing Suitable for 12yrs and above You need moderate mobility (there are steep steps at the amphitheater) Lunch is provided but take drinks and snacks.

We had a fantastic day trip to these amazing locations. Our guide was amusing, charming and very knowledgeable imparting a lot of interesting information in a way that was very easy to listen to. If I had one small criticism, we could have been given a bit longer at the carpet store to decide on purchases less hurriedly and to have the chance to visit the roof level to appreciate the view of Kairouan from higher up.

This tour which was advertised as all in English, was not as advertised. Our group had German and French people too. Our guide spent far more time explaining things in German, then French with about a 20 second add on of English if we were lucky! It was a very long day as we were picked up at 7.10am and didn’t get back till 5.30pm. We enjoyed the trip to El Jem, although it would not be suitable for anyone that has problems with doing steps, as there are lots.

Everything ran smoothly/on time. Staff pleasant. Tour felt a little rushed. 3 languages on 1 tour meant a lot of standing around-single language would give more time to see locations. No time to ask questions as guide permanently speaking to cover all languages. Lunch at another hotel felt like missed opportunity to experience authentic Tunisian cuisine. Overpriced. Afternoon at el jem better than morning.

was uns als einziger punkt nicht so gut gefallen hat war, dass die qualität beim essen nicht so gut war und nicht genügend zeit zum essen generell blieb. prinzipiell aber verständlich, da der tag sehr voll mit aktivitäten und erlebnissen gefüllt war. sonst können wir uns keineswegs beschweren, das war eine sehr interessante und lehrreiche tour!!

Nous avons tout aimé, KAIROUAN et El Jem avec ce Colisée magique. Le guide Mohamed était passionné et le chauffeur très sympathique aussi. Juste petit bémol le temps de route un peu long et dommage que pour le repas compris dans la journée il n'y ait pas les boissons

Sites, guide, chauffeur, parfaits. Très grande prévenance du guide et qualite des explications envers les participants. Bon déjeuner En revanche 1h 10 de prise en charge dans les différents hôtels ce qui rallonge énormément la durée en bus à l'aller et au retour. Soit 6h de bus !!!!! Ce qui est largement sous estimé par le représentant Tui.

The meal wasnt so good as Ancient Carthage/Sidi Bou Said tour. The colosseum was very good, much easier to look around than the one in Rome. Guide was good and informative. Be aware that there are a couple of long coach journeys - because of the places you see. My wife has trouble with her knees and found it difficult to getup on the first step of the bus which was quite high. It woud be good if ( as we have seen on other trips) a small stool/step to aid older customers getting on the bus.

Our guide was informative. He knew his stuff and even told a couple of good jokes! We had enough time to see everything. Lunch was well-prepared, with interesting food. The carpet shop owner was keen to show us different types of carpet and to talk about the processes. We were not pressurised into buying. The Coliseum was amazing!

Sehr große Gruppe (29) in 3 Sprachen. Der Guide hat das sehr gut gemeistert, aber rein zeitlich ist das problematisch. Das Essen war im Dar Ammar Hotel war übelst, sowohl geschmacklich, qualitativ und Auswahl gab es kaum, weil die Hälfte der Schalen leer war. Die Hauptspeisen außer Nudeln waren alle aus, da los Dserrt bestand aus einer Orange. Jedes Mensaessen ist da besser. PS: Dem Ausflug am 24.1. mit Depart Travel, über TUI gebucht, war eine glatte 10! Da hat alles gestimmt.

Overall the trip was good and the guide attentive and knowledgeable. However knowing how long we would be on the bus ( 3 hours each way!) and poor food choices ( actually no choice at all!) at the included lunch plus having to pay for water and coffees ????? ( how is that all inclusive ??). Made this trip less enjoyable

Enjoyed visiting the ancient sites and learning about the Tunisian culture from the guide. Would have liked to have a bit more free time to wander and perhaps browse around some shops in Kairouan.

Too much travelling for only four stops. 2 mosques which were not very interesting because you couldn’t actually walk into them - just peer from the outside. The amphitheatre was interesting but we didn’t have much time to look round and there wasn’t a lot to see. The museum of mosaics was similar. The carpet place was just a hard sell.

Gefallen haben uns der Guide und der Fahrer, natürlich auch die Ziele. Der Guide hat sehr interessant erzählt und uns gut durch den Tag geführt. Der Fahrer war absolut klasse. Nicht so gut gefallen haben uns das Ambiente beim Mittagessen und die langen Fahrtzeiten.

Wij zijn te gast in hotel Manar. Bij de transfers naar de hotels waren wij de eerste om opgehaald te worden en de laatste om terug gebracht te worden. Er waren meer dan 10 hotels waar gasten opgehaald werden. Dat maakt dat onze reistijd extra lang werd. Opgehaald om 6u40, terug om 18u10, bijna 12 uur!

The tour guide was fabulous, as was the driver who drove very safely and carefully. The bus had seat belts. The tour was excellent value for money and we had plenty time at all sites. I was picked up on time and the tour guide actually knew who I was! No faff, no stress.

What I enjoyed - visiting the Mosques, seeing the culture, El Jem is fantastic. I appreciate at this time of years tours will be mixed languages, I liked the fact we had a small pick up coach and then transferring to a larger one. Things I didn’t like, lunch was mediocre, compared to the hotel I’m staying in, the El Jem chat was very brief, also the route taken was weird we went a difficult way on foot when there was a more direct route which I took on the way back to the bus. Over all good

The whole Experience was Really Good, the guide knew his stuff, albeit He was certainly pushing Islam,??he did get one of his “facts” WRONG.CHRISTIANITY CAME FIRST, before Islam, even History proves that, and Judaism came before Christianity,??but apart from that, The Experience was Excellent,the place we stopped at for Lunch, Was Very Good as Well, staff there were very helpful, The Food was Excellent, fabulous choice….price of drinks was very Good also.A Really Good FULL day…Excellent Day..???

Kairouan sehr beeindruckend. Sehr schönes lohnendes Museum auch in El Djem mit der angeschlossenen Ausgrabungsfläche. Sehr beeindruckend und lohnenswert das Amphitheater. Sehr nervig die lange Abholzeit (45 Minuten), weil erstes Hotel und die Rückreise zu meinem Hotel als Letztem (45 Minuten). Beim Bus ließ sich die Rücklehne nicht verstellen, die Armlehnen ließen sich nicht feststellen. Der Reiseleiter hatte mehr englischen Text als deutschen.

To many stops in to short a time. We didn't have enough free time to look around the Colisiuem or at the Roman ruins to really take it all in. The mosque visits were good and guide explains things really well in relation to the religious aspects in a very respectful way.

Dali was a fantastic guide. Very funny and provided us with lots of information during our tour. The bus rides were quite long with not much to see inbetween each stop and the lunch option wasn't very good but the sites we visited were very interesting (Mausoleum for the companion of the prophet of Islam, The Grand Mosque of Kairuouan & El Jem Colesseum) . We really enjoyed the trip and felt like we'd learnt a lot and saw a good amount.

Swietna wycieczka z przemilymi ludzmi z róznych stron swiata. Bardzo uprzejmy przewodnik opowiadal ciekawie i zabawnie. It was a great trip with excellent information throughout from our very friendly guide Dali. It was a busy day, a lot of time on the coach, but it was comfortable, air conditioned and plenty of toilet stops were available. Lunch stop was excellent although I feel drinks should have been provided free of charge too. All in all, a great trip!

Der Guide hat sehr langatmig und eintönig in drei Sprachen die Tour begleitet und davon die deutsche Sprache relativ vernachlässigt. Er hat sich aber trotzdem bemüht, es allen so weit wie möglich recht zu machen. Die Tour dauerte allerdings gut 10 Stunden.

Der Ausflug war top, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Das einzige was uns nicht gefallen hat war das der Reiseleiter von Bussabfahrt bis Ankunft ca. 1,5 Stunden ununterbrochen durch das Mikrofon relativ laut gesprochen hat, das man Kopfschmerzen bekam, das habe ich Ihm auch deutlich gesagt! So etwas hatte ich bei Fahrten noch nie erlebt! 1,5 Stunden gesprochen ohne jegliche Pause !

The tour was good but quite rushed. There wasn't enough time at El Jem - only 45 minutes to explore the whole site. The guide had extensive knowledge and made sure we stopped for the toilet etc. The souks and mosque tour were very good. We got picked up at 7.10am and collected other people then realized they forgot someone so we had to go back again so didn't set off until 7.50. The bus didn't have seat belts either.

Very impressed by the guides ability to speak in 3 languages- he was fab! Translating all the time does though take time. Kairouan was really fascinating & beautiful. The mosaics were incredible & really enjoyed El Jem but would have liked more time to wander freely there - only had 30mins once he’d finished explaining. Lunch was a buffet in a modern tourist restaurant hotel.

We enjoyed exploring Tunisia and seeing the sights and taking in the history and the culture. However at £75 each and predominantly we were sat on a coach (we appreciate the location to the resort is a factor of this!) If we had more time in El Jem it would be better. The guide and the driver were AMAZING they were knowledgable and felt so safe at all times. Dali was entertaining and was clearly passionate on the subject. The above negative points are no reflection on them.

Verschillende plekjes bezoeken was leuk. Colluseum was ongelofelijk indrukwekkend. Ook omdat je er in en doorheen kon lopen! Wel veel te kort. Een halfuurtje inclusief teruglopen naar de bus nadat we naar de Arena waren gebracht. Ook aan lot overgelaten na “drop” in Arena. Veel (teveel??) tijd in mozaïek muodaarna. Had graag wat langer in colluseum gebleven. . Moskeeën daarvoor waren ook mooi.

Very friendly and informative guide, really enjoyed the extra information he gave about Tunisian history and culture in addition to talking about the locations we visited. The colosseum was very impressive, we were originally just going to do the half day to El Jem but I'm very glad we did the full day. The mosques are well worth a visit too.

Hotel and staff excellent. TUI trips great. Tui booked my airport parking for 2026 and despite contacting them, not sorted before I got back. I requested single beds but that was never relayed to the hotel. Having waited for two and a half hours for our room to be ready we were then faced with another wait of over two hours. Some things that were advertised as all inclusive cost extra, the Olympic size pool within the hotel was extra 300 dinars a day. Had a great time, no serious issues.

Wir haben an diesem Ausflug teilgenommen und waren rundum begeistert. Meine Frau und ich hatten eine wunderbare Zeit – es war sowohl interessant als auch sehr informativ. Die Moschee waren beeindruckend schön und das Kolosseum von Jem einfach atemberaubend. Unser Reiseführer war äußerst aufmerksam und hat alles sowohl auf Englisch als auch auf Deutsch erklärt. Man hat gemerkt, wie sehr er sich bemüht hat, damit wir alles verstehen und den Ausflug genießen können. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.

Der Reiseleiter war wunderbar. Die Übersetzungen waren gut und verständlich. Es wurde viel erklärt und immer wieder auf struktur hingewiesen. Er hat uns etwas über die Händler und Preise erzählt. Weshalb wir gut vorgewarnt waren. Auf meine GlutenunVerträglichkeit wurde Rücksicht genommen. Er hat seine schäfchen gut zusammengehalten und darauf aufgepasst dass alle etwas mitbekommen. Wir haben uns sehr sicher mit ihm & dem Fahrer gefühlt. EIn bisschen zu viele Treppen und Trinken im Bus wäre super

The guide was extremely informative and captivating with the way he engaged with the tour guests. Always took the time to ensure everyone was happy and understood what he had to say about the various venues It was impressive how he managed to effortlessly deliver all talk points in English, German and French to meet the preferences of the tour guests. At times it felt a little like pressure sale tactics when we would get a presentation from the various artisans throughout the tour.

It was not explained to us that we will be sat on the bus for best part of 5/6 hours a day and only have a very short period at the Colosseum There was no mention of going to a water viaduct that wasn’t even working and to be fair the mosques were a waste of time. It would’ve been better off going straight to the Colosseum and leaving us there a few hours to have a good look around and have dinner in the area and then picking us up taking us to the museum and then straight back to our hotel

Make no mistake, this is a very long day. 10 hours away from your hotel. But the experience in my view was worth it. I knew what I was letting myself in for from the start so was well prepared. The guide was really knowledgeable and spoke perfect English, even cracking the odd joke along the way. I have visited the Colluseum in Rome and this is almost as spectacular, but you almost have the place to yourself, very different from Rome. Mosaic museum and mosque are also very interesting.

Highly recommend! I went with my teenager and he absolutely loved it - The bus driver and guide were top notch punctual, informative, supportive creating an exceptional experience ! To anyone booking this trip PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL of other people's religion & culture! To go on this trip both men & women** need to wear appropriate attire! A day well spent - lovely artisans work [do bring your own drinks & cash] Enjoy :)

Nous avons eu un guide très professionnel qui metrise parfaitement son sujet et avec humour. Un chauffeur plus que compétent vu les difficultés du trafic routier. Le seul bémol de cette expérience fut le buffet du midi. Le lieu n'était pas accueillant et le choix de nourriture était très limité. Une proposition de plats locaux serait peut-être plus opportun. Quoiqu'il en soit encore un grand merci au guide et au chauffeur.

Prachtige excursie, je krijgt echt een indruk van de heilige stad Kairouan. Ook El Jem was indrukwekkend. Eenvoudige maar prima lunch. Prettige gids, die voldoende vertelde (niet teveel) op een duidelijke manier. Enige minpuntje was dat we zowel heen als terug langs erg veel hotels moesten en daardoor 5 uur reistijd hadden.

Sehe beeindruckend ist das Amphitheater. Wir hatten dort Dank unseres Guids 1 Stunde Zeit um alles zu erkunden. Das kleine Verkaussgespräch zu den Teppichen fand ich persönlich nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

The guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable and spoke good English. The sites were quite interesting to see. But the group was way too big (probably 50+ people) and that made it hard to hear the guide. It was also difficult to take nice photos as there was always people everywhere.

Super wycieczka po kilku fajnych miejscach. Szczególnie podobaly sie meczety i Koloseum, sklep z róznymi naprawde tanimi rzeczami w porównaniu do innych miejsc. Szczególne podziekowania dla Weroniki Gil przewodniczki z super wiedza o odwiedzanych miejscach i Tunezji. Polecam moja Mama zachwycony równiez dziekuje

We really enjoyed this experience, the guide was great and kept explaining what we were going to do and giving us constant history information during the journey. The stops were amazing especially the Colloseum. The only downside was the lunch stop. The food wasn’t great however that may be down to my personal taste. Overall a really enjoyable day.

Better if just focused on El Jem and colosseum which was the highlight. Needed to go there in the morning for cooler weather to be able to explore more fully. Mosaics interesting. The morning parts weren’t really something we would have chosen to do but there isn’t a trip just to el jem unfortunately. Restaurant was ok but didn’t serve alcohol and our baby’s cup was removed from the table and not returned to us

Finally a trip tui got right. The guide had reserved the disabled seat. It was the same guide as the day before.He was alot better and waited for us, ensuring we were ok.the trip itself was amazing. El jem was stunning.took our breath away.The only niggle was we were picked up at 6.45am one of 1st pick ups and then we were one of the last to be dropped at around 6.30pm. So meant a long time on coach. But all in all it was a good trip. We did read the reviews and were worried it wouldn't be good

Die Organisation der Abhol- und Zurückbring-Fahrten war sehr gut geregelt. Ein Bus für die Hotels in Nord-, ein Bus für die Hotel in Süd-Hammamet. Der Guide hat interessant erklärt. Am Anfang waren die Besuchszeiten eher knapp. Da wären mal 5-10 min mehr nicht schlecht gewesen.
