With vividly coloured houses lining the seafront and the banks of the dried-up river bed, it's no wonder Villajoyosa means ‘the Joyful Town'. Find out why it attracts and inspires scores of artists with this trip from Benidorm. You'll also visit the famous Valor Chocolate museum to see their age-old chocolate-making methods and sample some of their well-loved products.You'll begin the tour in Villajoyosa - a quirky town known best for its brightly-coloured fishermen's houses, golden beaches and freshly-caught seafood. Enjoy some free time to stroll its labyrinth of narrow winding cobbled streets, or head to the seafront to watch the fishing boats come in. Then, it's on to Valor Chocolate museum. Here, you'll tour its installations and see chocolate-making methods used since 1881, before a chance to sample some chocolatey treats yourself.

Chic fabriek was prima. Werden afgezet bij een parking en hadden 50 min de tijd om rond te kijken. Veel te kort tijd. Voelde echt niet goed. Hadden beter op eigen gelegenheid kunnen gaan. Was t geld niet waardig!!

Chocolade fabriek niet in werking wegens verlof zeiden ze, alle uitleg aldaar alleen in Engels, de oudere mensen verstonden niets, de hostes zette ons af in Villa maar de mensen slecht te been was een ramp en zeker de persoon in rolstoel, neem deze mensen NIET meer mee, zonder hulp van andere geraken ze niet beneden,hostes kent blijkbaar de streek niet, dus geen aanrader en zeer gevaarlijke afdaling en in Villa is niet veel te zien alleen wat gekleurde huisjes, ga deze uitstap niet aanraden.

Chocolade museum is overbodig. Als Belg hebben we al ooit een Belgisch fabriek bezocht en laat ons eerlijk zijn ... Valor ....nog nooit van gehoord. Antwerpen/Brugge heeft de beste chocolatiers, ik had liever meer tijd kunnen besteden in Villayoijosa zelf.

Enjoyed seeing Villajoyosa but an hour was not long enough to thoroughly explore and enjoy this lovely place. We were not warned about the downhill walk to reach the costal front either. On our return uphill, one of the escalators was not working!! The chocolate factory was disappointing, only saw the packaging department in action. It was not what we were expecting!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this excursion the driver was outstanding the courier was knowledgeable and polite the factory guide spoke good English only downside was we could have had more time at Villajoyosa perhaps something TUI can take a look at a beautiful resort really needed more time to explore

De reisleiding had meer info kunnen geven. Na de rondleiding niet duidelijk hoe laat en waar we heen moesten. Er was een roltrap in de buurt om weer naar boven te komen. Ze had het ons verteld maar niet aan iedereen en er waren veel ouderen. De gids in de fabriek leek er niet veel zin in te hebben. Vroeg ook niet of er vragen waren. Tijd erg kort om in Vilayrosa te kijken.

Het was een leerrijke uitstap, al zou het bezoek in Vilajoyosa iets langer mogen duren, want we hadden enkel tijd om iets te gaan drinken, en geen tijd meer om een wandeling te doen. Een uurtje langer en we zouden de kleurrijke huizen gezien hebben en ... . Nu enkel de binnenkant van de Valor bar gezien en heel lang moeten wachten op een drankje.

The most boring trip i have ever been on and a waste of half a day on my holiday! The coach trip on way and back were both “extended” to drag out time on the trip to match as described you only see them packing chocolate into boxes the rest is like a primary school trip. Then the trip to the town gives you enough time to walk to the bottom of the hill have a drink and walk back to to the top for pick up then a long hour drive back when it should only be 25min.

Great trip chocolate factory. Chocolate a lot cheaper than at airport. Villajoyosa Is a stunning area with plenty of choice for a quick refreshment break. Not long enough for a lunch if you want to walk about.

We werden tegen 10u opgehaald en waren tegen 13u weer thuis. Veel stops en rollators. Veel te lang in Valor geweest, waardoor we nog geen 40 min voor het mooie stadje hadden. Dus vrijwel niets gezien. Uitleg in Valor slechts in het Engels.

It said the tour was in English but it was actually English and Dutch and would have also been in French had it not been the French could understand English. May have not booked if I had know this as I find it really difficult and tend to lose interest with what the guide is saying

Can't rate the guide as he wasn't with us in either the chocolate factory or town. Duration a bit misleading as I left at 9:30 and got back at 2. Can't see how it would ever be as short as 2 hours. Loved the coloured houses and glorious promenade.

Lovely vist to the chocolate factory, followed by a vist to the beach front. Very pretty, plenty of places to stop for refreshments. A particularly good addition was the moving floor up to the main street, particularly good for those with mobility issues.

Enjoyed learning about the history and journey of the chocolate factory and manufacturing. Was disappointed to not to see how the chocolate is produced or at least a video of the production. A video would have allowed the company to only allow what they wanted to be seen and the visitors an opportunity to view how production happened.

Goede reisgids Esther; ze legde alles rustig en duidelijk uit. Als eerste bezoek aan de chocoladefabriek. Is wel aardig om de historie te zien/horen in n klein museum. Fabriek lag stil ivm nationale vrije dag. De vele straatjes met de gekleurde huisjes (wordt ook wel zigeunerwijk genoemd) zijn het zeker waard om te bezoeken en zo af te dalen naar de mooie boulevard. .Het centrum niet kunnen bekijken omdat daar niet voldoende tijd voor was. Mijn voorstel: geen bezoek meer aan chocoladefabr

Het was jammer dat we niets te zien kregen van hoe ze werkten met de chocolade zelf, hoe ze de vormen vulden bijvoorbeeld en hoe ze alles uit de vormen kregen.. Nu zagen we enkel hoe er pakjes over de band gingen om in dozen te doen..

The factory tour would have been better if we hadn't been rushed. The day would have been better if we had more time to spend in villajoyosa. Felt that a good part of the day was spent on the coach due to pick ups. Perhaps if there was a centralised pick up point it would save time and allow for more time to be spent in the destination

La visite était bien, il manquait peut être de variété dans les dégustations de chocolat (autre que lait,noir, lait sans lactose). A part ça la visite était courte mais suffisante. Le temps libre dans la ville est suffisant et la ville est très agréable (peut être préciser qu’à une petite centaine de mètres de l’arrêt de bus, il y a des Escalator qui mènent de la plage jusqu’à la rue principale. Ça peut être utile pour les personnes à mobilité réduite. Dans l’ensemble bon rapport qualité/prix

On nous demande de choisir une langue pour l'excursion et celle-ci n'est pas réalisée. La visite de la chocolaterie est vraiment super. pareil dommage qu'on a pas une traduction car une personne sur 5 qui parle un peu l'anglais et devoir traduire à tous alors qu'on avait choisit une visite en français ce n'est pas top pour profiter. Après la chocolaterie est chouette Villa joiosa est jolie mais peu de magasins, les plus beaux sont les maisons colorées sur une partie et la plage au final
