Our guide, Andri, was excellent and very informative. She had first hand experience and was able to make history "relatable" - real people with real experiences. Very thought provoking and so much insight. So glad we did the trip and would highly recommend it. Not one for kids, but adults with an interest in the modern shape of Europe, it is a real must do. I now also understand why in tavernas in Cyprus I get corrected when I ask for a Greek coffee - it is a Cyprus coffee!

Enjoyed the Ghost Town visit and would have preferred longer there. Most of the toime was spent at Salamis which whilst interesting was in the hottest part of the day and the party on the visit were of different walking capabilities which slowed the whole visit up. The pick up times from various hotels was way too long, nearly two hours and extended the overall day trip to nearly 12 hours. way too long.

Andrea our guide was brilliant. Unfortunately, some people on the tour didn't understand English very well or talked over her when she was giving out information. Andrea dealt with that very professionally on what was a very hot day. Her knowledge knew no bounds and she is is a credit to her profession. Just one thing (didn't spoil our day) - the tour was advertised as 8 hrs. It was almost 11 hrs from pick up to drop off which made sense considering what we did and the distance travelled.

We enjoyed Famagusta and Varosha, not so much Salamis would like to of spent longer in Famagusta and Varosha and missed out Salamis. Free time in Famagusta off about 1 hr 20 mins to get lunch and look around is not enough after being picked up 8am need lunch when stopping at 1.45 back on bus at 3. Then drive to Varosha back on bus for 4pm. Back to hotel by 8pm

We found the tour was far too long and the distance on the pick ups and drop offs took most of the day. The tour guide was very well informed on knowledge and gave us a lot of information. The main event was seing the ghost town, however by the time we got to it We was tired and hot. I felt the ghost town was very dissapointing we was expecting to see housing that had been evacuated on an instant in 1974 but what we saw was delapidated old buildings that was empty.

This was a 12 hour trip (not 8 as advertised) you should be more honest about the duration. Andrea our guide being a Greek Cypriot was very passionate and honest about the whole 1974 situation and shared some fascinating personal experiences. The Turkish guard watching us all was weird. The visit to Varosha was amazing and so interesting. The whole day was very enjoyable.

The tour itself was very interesting, the guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and informative. Felt safe at all times. The mini bus that took us on the trip was full, my only comment on this is that, we were the last to be collected, so had to sit in the last two remaining seats at the back of the bus. Neither my husband or myself are big people, but felt rather squashed. As it was a very hot day, the journey times were fairly long, it was not a very comfortable ride.

The trip itself was very good especially the walk around the Ghost Town. We are of an age that we remember the news of the invasion reported on the television and newspapers and it brought it to life. You spend quite a time on the minibus to each location, so be prepared. Also we had an issue with regards to overbooking, which was dealt with quickly and the trip carried on.

Took over 4 hrs to reach the checkpoint Two guests were not told to take passports, so we had to wait for them to go back to their hotel and fetch their passports Two guests were overbooked, so we had to wait for the guides to sort out the mistake Did not need 1hr 45 for lunch, sat around waiting to get back on the bus Barely half an hour in the ghost town. Walked to the beach and back again. Got the impression that the guide did not want to be there

As I was picked up in Pathos , it was a good 11 hour day . Yes it was value for money , but I would have liked more time at the roman ruins and more time in Famagusta deserted town , rather than a prolonged stop in Famagusta walled town. The experience just needs a bit more balance.

The guide Chris Konstantinos was rude from the outset to us in front of the people on the bus. As we booked online we weren’t sure which end of the street we would be picked up so stood by hotel. I have a mobility issue and couldn’t walk fast to the coach. He didn’t get off the bus but berated us for being 10 minutes late.. A couple from our hotel who booked with the rep said the bus was late and only just got there. He continued to be nice with other people. He was definitely misogynistic.

The history and culture were fascinating - especially the rather poignant Varosha tour. The driver was excellent, and the guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. The flight over was more comfortable than the coach - legroom was restricted, and there were a few hours of travel. We spent 2hrs of "free" time in Famagusta, which was a little too long. It was gone 7pm by the time we returned to the hotel.

Hi, trip was very good. Loved the walled city, Salamis the Ghost town . The guide Nic was very knowledgable and took his time to explain the history of each . The Ghost town has changed a lot, with all personal items removed and people running around on bicycles and electric scooters, not respecting the history of the site. It is along day but worth it. I would have liked some extra time at the Ghost town but understood the time restraint.

The final ghost town was bigger than expected and the time given to walk around without the guide wasn’t long enough. We did see people on scooters which should have maybe offered at the beginning as once you were in the town it was too late. Other than that a fantastic day.

Stoped at cafes that he is obviously “friends” with and wanted us to spend money there. Very long day on a cramped coach and learnt nothing of the history - which is what we wanted

Excellent

The overall knowledge of the guide (Andre) she told us everything we needed to know -it was first class The downside was the return time to our hotel Akti Beach at 2029 hrs gave little time for evening bearing in mind we left the hotel at 0745

Average

Te veel tijd gespendeerd in Salamis, te weinig in Varosha. Veel te lange busrit = 4 uur enkel en te laat in hotel, moesten eten in buffetrestaurant.

Chris the tour guide was a walking encyclopedia oo the history of Cyprus from Neolithic days to present. Biggest complaint is quality of audio/ intercom system on the bus (1 out of 10) as air-conditioning system drowned out 90 of the information.....same problem on the bus that took us to Latchi and Blue Lagoon trip. Concentrate on renewing systems and you will have happier customers

Great

The ratio of spending time at the different locations could do with adjusting, more time at the ghost town would be better and less time at the ruins

Really interesting and thoughtful day. Good background from Julia. Thank you. Good logistics, after the worryingly late pick up due to traffic We could have spent less time in Famagusta, allowing more for Ghost Town. I would have liked to have explored places I’d been in my youth. Specifically I’d have liked more time exploring JFKennedy Avenue, where we arrived as it was time to turn around and leave. I would have liked to see the market, even just the outside, which we didn’t get to.
