Take your trip off-road and experience the breathtaking landscape of the Northeast of Madeira on a 4x4 vehicle. This tour has a bit of everything, it's adventurous, interesting, full of surprises, and very scenic.You'll admire Nuns Valley from the top viewpoint. Next, reach Pico do Arieiro, the third-highest mountain in Madeira, with a magnificent view above the clouds. After exploring the area, continue towards the north of the island descending to the village of Ribeiro Frio. After a short walk around the village, you will discover the Laurissilva Forest. The next stop is Santana, one of the most famous areas in Madeira where you can visit the traditional triangular Madeira houses and have lunch.After lunch, head to Faial and stop at the Miradouro do Guindaste viewpoint, then proceed to the village of Porto da Cruz to visit a rum factory where you can sample some locally produced rums or the famous Poncha. Before coming back to Funchal, you'll pass by Ponta de S. Lourenço.

Guide Juan was very friendly, charismatic and informative and on time. I think less time for lunch and driving in between with more stops would have made it even better. Due to road closures one stop couldn’t be done when we got there but understand these things happen and out of their control.

Le guide est convivial et tres pro. Il maitrise totalement la conduite meme sur des routes difficiles, ce qui est primordial , en effet onse sent en totale securite. La voiture est tres propre. On a appris beaucoup de chose, on a vu des paysages incroyables. Et le groupe dans lequel j’etais etait adorable. Vous pouvez recommander cet activité les yeux fermés, c’est un moment tres agréable et trés instructif. Merci beaucoup .

Our guide, Ricardo was superb, very informative and took us off road and to quite places to view. The transport was not overloaded, just 4 people and himself. Would highly recommend anybody to take this trip. We were very lucky with the weather. Views were fantastic. The perfume from the flowers were lovely too.

We actually booked both tours, Northeast and Northwest. The respective drivers Ruben and Ricardo are humble guys who love what they are doing. They take their time to present you to all the gems of their beloved home island. No rushing, a small group of people, a save drive and a relaxed atmosphere were characteristics of these trips. We couldn't imagine a better way to explore Madeira.
