In Oulu, the coastal waters and the Oulu River delta offer a wide range of scenic, sheltered routes ideal for stand-up paddleboarding. This guided safari from Nallikari gives you a different perspective on the city, as you glide quietly across the water on a SUP board. Suitable for beginners, it also provides an enjoyable experience for those with some paddling experience.The activity starts at the Nallikari Experience Centre. Before setting off, experienced guides provide a short introduction to basic SUP techniques and safety guidelines, ensuring everyone can take part with confidence. The boards are stable and easy to handle, making the experience accessible even for first-time participants.The route combines natural scenery with local landscapes. From Nallikari, you paddle through the picturesque Mustasalmi channel towards the varied surroundings of the Oulu River delta. Nallikari is one of the official entry and exit points for the delta’s water routes, with three different channels leading into the area.

Children under 13 years old. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent

If wind conditions on Nallikari Beach are too strong on the day of departure, the starting point may be moved to the Mustasalmi channel, located a 10-minute walk from the Nallikari Experience Centre. The provider will inform participants of any changes in advance
