As the natural border between Spain and Portugal, the River Guadiana cuts through areas of natural beauty. You'll navigate your way upriver from Vila Real de Santo António to Foz de Odeleite and Quinta do Rio, where you'll enjoy a barbecue and live music.Once you arrive at Vila Real de Santo António, you'll board the boat ready for a relaxing cruise up the Guadiana. Take a seat and enjoy the passing scenery and once we reach the timeless village Foz de Odeleite, we'll anchor up, and you can stroll around at your own pace. Back on board, we'll cruise a bit further to Quinta do Rio.Here you'll have views over the river and village, and you'll even be able to cool down with a swim and a drink at the bar. We'll then serve up a barbecue lunch, complete with local wine and live music in the background. The rest of the afternoon is for relaxing on the sun terrace and cruising back downriver.

This was a beautiful and enjoyable cruise along the river that separates Spain from Portugal. "Rustic" folk show and tasty lunch included. Loved it!

Food and drinks in the restaurant were plentiful and unlimited and their staff were excellent. Good atmosphere and fun on the riverboat trip home. The outbound trip was a little dull and we were not told that we needed passports which caused us difficulties at the checkpoint. If we hadn’t had a photo of our passports on our phones, we would not have been allowed to continue the excursion.

We got to the hotel reception area 15 mins before the scheduled pick up time of 0910. A mini bus was already waiting but had no TUI sign and the driver could not communicate in English. We showed our e-ticket and he showed us his passenger sheet. There were two names shown for The Playa Garden Natural hotel but not our names. He made a phone call, spoke to the man on reception and drove off. We contacted TUI and are still awaiting a refund.

Sehr ausführliche Informationen. Nette und fröhliche Mannschaft. Leckeres Essen mit Produkten aus der Region. Nach dem Essen wurden portugiesische Volkslieder gesungen. Tolle Stimmung.

I enjoyed all of it apart from one minor change if possible. The food we had which was meant to be a Portuguese staple food, peri peri chicken, was very bland and dry. I would have like to have tried a traditional dish. The whole experience is wonderful, the cruise, the quietness and quaint village, the singing, the warmth of all the staff, the well organised trip...all of it my 13 year old enjoyed it too! Thank you Sam who was the TUI representative at our hotel.

Repas et ambiance excellents! Piscine au top. Coups de soleil attrapés car pas possible de mettre de la crème solaire à la piscine. Peu d'informations du guide à l'aller. Retour très sympa, animé . On s'est un peu ennuyés à l'aller. Pas de repas enfant : poulet ********** épicé pour enfant de 2 ans . Nous n'avons pas été prévenus, il a pleuré en goûtant. Navette qui nous monte et nous descend au bateau c'est super avec un bébé !

The whole experience was relaxing and the lunch provided was excellent. The only down side was being placed on a table where we were with other guests due to language barriers we couldn’t have a conversation with. Entertainment was different and enjoyable

Cruise is relaxing with beautiful views. Our guide Esther was fabulous. It was very hot when we arrived at the location for food, so we did the shorter walk up (transport provided for those needing it). Arrived at a lovely area with pool, bar & restaurant. The pool was beautiful and had amazing views. The food was fabulous and extremely well organised. Great authentic entertainment with lovely songs. The way home was fantastic with music in the boat and singing & dancing. We had the best day.

TUI arranged all pick ups everything went well. The boat trip was relaxing and commentary was interesting. The highlight of the trip was the lovely songs and performances by the staff. The food was simple but delicious!

Wer hat sich denn den Punkt Sicherheit ausgedacht? Ein ganz Schlauer ?????? Was soll diese Frage suggerieren? Das TUI sich um die Sicherheit Gedanken macht. Das hoffe ich doch. Absolute Sicherheit gibt‘s nicht, daher streichen sie diesen Punkt.

Well organised, lovely lunch, enjoyed pool at villa, walk around village is heat dependant so was cut out in high 30s which was sensible. The 10 min walk is fine but good to have a mini bus for the few that couldn’t manage.

De boottocht was fijn, het landschap wat voorbij komt is veelal natuur en blijft een beetje hetzelfde, de lunch was geweldig, eten was heerlijk naar de mensen die het daar organiseren maken het geweldig! Wat een enthousiasme en een trotse mensen daar in Portugal. Het was indrukwekkend. Op de terug vaart was het een feestje met zang en muziek. Al met al echt een geweldige dag gehad. Dank daarvoor!

We were a bit late being collected so everyone waiting to board the boat had to wait for us. It’s quite a long journey on the boat but the is much to see. There is a well stocked bar on board so drinks are available. It would have been nice to have had an information sheet telling us about places of interest we pass on our journey. At the destination we opted for the 45 minute walk through the village. That was excellent. The meal and entertainment were first class.

The journey is perfectly organized from start to finish, it's very easy to buy a ticket through the app. Transfer of guests there and back is included in the price. A picturesque place on the banks of the river. Lovely, delicious lunch with local produce. Live music is performed by wonderful, positive and very artistic people. Great tour, lots of positive emotions! Many thanks and continued success!

Fabulous day out. Enjoyed the river cruise, guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Pool amazing and food locally sourced and superb. Live music icing on cake . Would definitely book again.

The description for the trip is incorrect. We didn't get off at a village to walk around in. We went straight to the final destination where we had a meal in a big hall. There was no BBQ as described in the overview. There was chicken and salad. No other options. However, the staff were enthusiastic, and the live music was lovely

Brilliant day out. Picked up on time. Met a great group of people of all nationalities Staff very friendly & helpful. Bar on the boat very reasonable. Lovely house & pool at the destination. Superbly authentic food & entertainment at lunch. Nice trip back, live music on the boat. On the mini bus back our driver took us for an extra mini tour of Ayamonte. Super day, relaxing & fun
