The only thing I could criticise is the transfer one day from hotel to TUI rep we got picked up after the rep dropped us at a church in a clapped out old Fiat Punto that was dirty and had no air con and the maintenance guy had really bad Oder not his fault as I don’t think he expected to pick us up and take us to the hotel

There was alot more to the ancient city of Pompeii. A huge site where we got to see about a quarter of it. It really is a fascinating place to see, very moving! Our local guide was excellent!

Glad we only did the half day tour as the heat was extreme. I think a full day would be a little too much for most people. With regards to the trip itself, it was so good. Our tour guide, I forget his name unfortunately, was brilliant from beginning to end. He was so comical and knowledgeable and kept everyone entertained throughout. As for Pompeii we couldn’t get over the sheer vastness of how big it was. We were informed about everything during the tour. Highly recommended.

The guided tour of Pompeii was genuinely very good. Our guide was patient and very knowledgeable. Only downside was we had to arrange for travel by taxi to our pickup hotel as there was no pickup from our own hotel, which meant extra expenses to our experience. If I had known this prior to booking I would not have booked through TUI.

guide was very enthusiastic, passionate & knowledgable and gave us lots of information on the bus. The audio system meant we didn’t miss any info when he was sharing facts but also allowed us to ask questions and keep in touch at arranged meet up times. Have a drink in a restaurant to use toilets on arrival as suggested by the guide. We were disappointed not taken to the brothel in the tour and would have liked extra time in the main square and didn’t get time in the museum but still good trip

The trip to Pompeii was excellent the tour guide was very informative and knew her stuff. It is a very busy place but we'll run. The tour guide guided our group around Pompeii brilliantly. It was very busy but well organised, it was extremely hot there and drinks etc are very expensive so take plenty of water.

It was good , there is no shade in pompeii so make sure you take water & a hat etc , 2 hrs is more than enough, it gets too much as its hot and over crowded, tour guide was great & coach pick up & drop off was great 👌

The tour was informative and interesting and the guide was good. However we felt that upon arrival and leaving was rushed, we had minimal time to grab a drink, visit gift shop and go to the toilets. We were disappointed as we could not go to the amphitheatre and coliseum as they were both closed for performances.

We had a fantastic guide who took us round the main bits of Pompeii called Laura, her English was fabulous and she told us amazing things about the place that we wouldn’t have known just by going round ourselves. The transfers from Sorrento to Pompeii were long with all the pick ups and we came back a kinda weird way through the mountains, took ages. You can’t see it all and 2 hours was enough in the heat. If you get Laura as your guide she’ll not disappoint.

I really enjoyed going to pompei,vince was so good really knows all the information and made it a really enjoyable day,however on the trip form we thought we were paying 45 euros and was told we had to pay another 22 euros for entrance,I think this should be stated on the form

You could improve it by actually picking up at the hotels listed on the drop down not one 30 minutes away. You could improve the performance of your app, it wouldn’t download my voucher and because of the appalling service we never made the trip. You have so far refused a refund but I will recover funds and will never use Tui ever again. You ruined our holiday and took up too much of my time in chasing this missed trip up. I am disgusted.

The half day tour to pompeii was fantastic. We were picked up promptly at our hotel by the driver Pepe and our fabulous tour guide Lillian. The whole trip was very informative and interesting. Lillian was excellent always checking we were going at a suitable pace for everyone, even providing fans for us to use. She talked us through all the main sights and allowed us all time to take the photos we needed. I would highly recommend thus tour, and the half day was a great option in the June heat.

We had to get a taxi to the pick up point and it was expensive, we had been on a trip two days ago and the coach arrived early so we got to the pick up point early but this time the coach was late so we had to wait for over an hour. The trip was good but Pompeii was very busy and very large so we only saw a small corner of the site. The guide was very informative.

The coach requests we meet at 7:30am (leaving 15mins for breakfast) then we sat on the coach for 1 and half hours collecting everyone before the 1h journey to the start of tour. On tour 2h Travel time total was 4h If I knew this before id have booked a private tour for the extra $€25

Le temps sur place est beaucoup trop court; je conseille 2h avec un guide et.3-4h de temps libre. La guide en anglais parlait très vite et j’ai rapidement décroché. On perd beaucoup de temps à attendre pour voir les quelques endroits ( le lupanar, les thermes…) que tous les guides veulent montrer.

Have visited Pompeii before but was disapointed this time. The guide went around very quick continued to talk about everything and nothing. I was with a friend and we felt hurried especially nearing the end if tour . We could not see her in front of us as she had carried on without checking everyone was with her. When we got down steps she was nowhere to be seen and we had to ask someone where exit was. No apology from her .

To be honest the tour was physically more than we had bargained for. Pompeii doesn’t have many ( any) places to sit down once you start a tour. Two hours with only few stops and no seats is tiring when you’re nearly 70 years old. Tours were banging into each other and it’s a very crowded site, I’m not sure what you can do except explain to participants that it can be tiring. Pompeii needs to be more considerate of its visitors. One elderly man fell in fro to of us and I’m not surprised,

The Guide took us around key parts of Pompeii, which was very interesting and enabled us to see the main aspects, as Pompeii is so large that to do it on our own, we would have missed the most interesting bits. The Guide also took us to view the ongoing excavations, which was great. The only criticism is that we were a bit rushed at times, but obviously with so many tours going around, we could not linger too long.

Once we’d spent 30-40 minutes picking up guests from other hotels this tour was seamless. Doing it this way meant no queues for tickets/entry and a knowledgable guide who knew exactly where to take us to get the best experience out of a couple of hours in Pompeii. It really is an amazing site to visit but so extensive it would be impossible to cover it all even in a whole day. I felt we got to see the highlights and learnt a lot from our guide.

I took 2 marks off because we were picked up from our hotel at 07:30 & I didn’t realise we then needed to do a circuitous route for over an hour picking up odd couples from hotels down in Sorrento. Because of traffic over an hour later we passed the road near our hotel so had got nowhere despite being up at 6:30am. On the plus side we were dropped off first. Overall the drive to Pompeii was very tiring. 2 hours! However once there our guide was EXCELLENT. 2 hours walking was enough for us.

The guide was very good. We enjoyed the experience. We would have enjoyed a longer stay in Pompeii . We would have liked another couple of hours to explore on our own after the guided tour. I don't know how you could have organised that but it's something for you to think about. Our guides were very careful to keep us all safe which was appreciated. Our guide sometimes was difficult to see when she was leading us from one place to another. Perhaps a more brightly coloured brolly would help.

We liked everything about this trip. The guide was really good and informative. She told us things about Pompeii on the way there and then gave us headphones for the tour itself which worked very well and was very clear. She also spoke very clear English which was appreciated. We were so excited for this trip, unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations and on reflection we should have chosen a different experience. The tour was a whirlwind stop which didn’t give enough time to properly see the site and its treasures. Our guide was a very nice lady with lots of knowledge, but we just didn’t get enough time, and it was so busy it felt like we were rushing from one place to another trying not to bump into other groups and keep up with our guide. Disappointing.

The tour had too many people in the group. A smaller group would have been much easier. It led to fragmentation and the tour guide having to round everyone up on various occasions. We lost one participant. Other wise it was enjoyable and the two hours is long enough as a tour. Some time to explore on your own would have been beneficial.

Our guide was Johnny "Be good". He wasn't good - he was outstanding. The traffic in and out of Sorrento was pretty bad but TUI can't do anything about that! Some free time in Pompeii would have been welcome.

Our guide, Desiree, was excellent. She kept us all safe while negotiating the traffic and had a wealth of interesting information about the Romans. She was able to answer any questions and had a lovely personality. Everything was explained in an articulate manner. She was a very caring person.

Very interesting trip to a fascinating place. Our guides for the day, Desiree & Jonny we’re both excellent & provided a wealth of knowledge which greatly enhanced the trip.

We had an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable. He took us to all the key locations. So, it was a very enjoyable and informative trip. Would highly recommend.

Poor
We were 30mins late getting picked up at hotel and instead of a 5 hour round trip it was nearer 7 by the time we got dropped off at out hotel as we went up into the mountains from Sorrento on a 2hour plus return trip, guide was good at pompei, but overall not great and won't be doing any more trips.

Poor
I would have liked to have been informed that there was an hour and a half spent picking up other passengers before setting off to Pompeii. We had 2.5 hours on a coach with no opportunity to stop before reaching Pompeii mainly due to pickups. If I had known I would have done this trip differently. It felt a waste of our time to spend so long just travelling.
