À quoi s'attendre
Le plus haut volcan d'Europe domine la Sicile. Cette excursion familiale vous emmène aussi près que possible de son sommet. Vous serez conduit à Rifugio Sapienza, puis prendrez un téléphérique et un 4x4 pour atteindre le cratère principal à environ 2 900 mètres d'altitude. Les vues et le paysage lunaire qu'on y trouve sont à couper le souffle.Les sentiers au cœur de la nature, les grottes, les bois et les coulées de lave caractérisent le paysage qui mène au sommet de l'Etna. Après être venus vous chercher à votre hôtel, vous serez conduit à environ 1900 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, au Rifugio Sapienza, du côté sud de l'Etna, où vous descendrez du bus pour partir en exploration.En chemin, vous apprendrez tout ce qu'il y a à savoir sur l'Etna et son passé explosif. Et ne vous inquiétez pas, les plus petits auront aussi leur lot d'informations. Vous pourrez ensuite découvrir tout cela par vous-même pendant votre temps libre. Embarquez dans un téléphérique, puis dans un véhicule tout-terrain qui vous emmènera jusqu'au cratère principal. N'oubliez pas votre appareil photo !

One of the best tours we have ever been on as a family! Our guide Fabio was fantastic! Full of knowledge, impressively moving seemlessly from English to German, incredibly welcoming and with a great sense of humour. He made sure the tour was well organised and ran very smoothly. A very safe and comfortable journey on the coach. The mount Etna experience was incredible and the volcanologist who took over the tour nearer the top of mountain was great! Highly recommend! The Bristol family :)

Fabio our guide was brilliant. His knowledge, experience and enthusiasm made the trip up to Etna so entertaining and useful. The whole trip was managed well from start to finish - on arrival at the cable car station, 4x4 Jeep and walk up to the craters. The walk up was fine in trainers as we followed a safe path with the vulcanologist as he explained everything about the mountain. It wasn’t too cold at all, a thin jacket or hoodie is all you needed really. Overall a fantastic day.

Brilliant trip, well organised and very informative. Fabio, the guide was amazing, very knowledable and everything was very well explained- would 100% recommend as a great trip to experience Mt Etna. Would book again if we are lucky enough to come back to Sicily.

A great day out ... just remember to take a thick coat ... the temperature difference between the coast and 2900m is immense !! .... I know this sounds obvious , but not to some people that I saw at the top ...Hailstones in May !! ... a competent driver and our guide , Fabio was amazing , very friendly and informative ..... you're the best !! Thank You

Very well organised after booking, perhaps TUI could do a bit better in explaining meeting points etc - it said the hotel bus area but actually it was the bus stop outside the gates. The bus guide was great for giving us information and facts during the coach ride up to the swap over point and communication was clear upon arrival. The tour was brilliant, highly recommend 2900 trip - worth the extra Also good there is food and toilets available in the 1900m area and top of cable car

Very well irganised with fabulous guide Fabio and driver Anna. Pick up on time, very good local information and clear instructions for cable car ride and 4x wheel drive up to the caldera. You have a different guide after the cable car ride. He was good too. It's only a short 10minute walk up to the craters and the guide sets a slow pace so very achievable - wear good shoes, it's very dusty as to be expected. Great value for money - cable car is $78 if u go on your own.

When we booked online it was confusing , at one point we were told our pick up would be from our hotel and then ultimately we were told we had to get to the bus station to be picked up This would benefit from being addressed

It was well organised & everything went smoothly. The guide & driver were very good informative & entertaining. The guide that actually took us up Etna didn’t really give us any additional information. Overall good experience that would recommend. Very glad we did 2900m & not 1500m would have felt very disappointed as it was the equivalent of going to a car park.

Fabio, the guide, was excellent. The excursion was interesting and the volcano was stunning. The guide led part on the top was a bit disorganised. Our guide has no idea who was in his group and was hard to hear sometimes. Overall definitely worth doing.

I thought the last bit of the tour, the hike up to the top was quite dangerous and not suitable for children, it was never described in the tour and no special instructions were given to us regarding health and safety, we walked on narrow paths with shear drops and I also fell at one point, which the guide didn’t even notice. A few warnings about the last bit would have been appreciated!
