Puerto Plata packs a mighty punch. Get ready for an exciting excursion on horseback through some magnificent landscapes and local communities. Whether it's your first time on a horse or you're a hardened rider, you'll love it.Starting at your hotel, we'll make our way to the ranch and choose the right horses for all participants, depending on their past riding experience. Once in the stirrups, we'll kick off the tour in Sabana Grande, heading into the mountains to take in the impressive landscapes. We'll continue onto the community of Muñoz, where we'll stop at an authentic grocery store to enjoy a local experience and a refreshing drink.We'll then head back to the other side of the mountain to enjoy the diverse landscapes and taking the opportunity to pass through San Piñé before heading back to the hotels.

Our guide Alex was awesome! He spoke very good English.gave us some interesting insight on the area. Horses were well trained. Had a blast galloping along the ocean! Gorgeous views!

Hotel pick-up was prompt and courteous. Guide was fluent in English. Horses seemed to be well cared for. The ride through the countryside was interesting and there was a pleasant rest break with water and soft drinks provided. While I liked that there was a photographer along to take photos, I think that it should have been better explained at the beginning of the excursion how that worked and what the cost was ($20 per person seemed a bit expensive).

The horses were well trained, but did not vary from the track they walk every day. The massive amount of garbage lining the beach as you walk the trail is disappointing.
