This full-day Sicilian tour begins in Randazzo, a Medieval town on Mount Etna's northern slopes. After a guided walk and some free time to wander its lava-stone streets, churches and shops, you'll head to Alcantara Gorge. Shaped by ancient lava flows and the Alcantara River that runs through it, you'll have three hours to swim in natural pools, walk the trails, snap photos or rent gear for optional extra water fun like river trekking and body rafting. After a day exploring local life and Sicily's natural beauty, you'll make your way back to your hotel.

Just so you know, entrance fees for Alcantara Gorge aren't includedThe basic entrance fee, which includes the lift down to the gorge, is 13 Euros for anyone aged 13 and older and 9 Euros for kids aged six to 12

More authentic to go somewhere undiscovered by cruise liners. really interesting facts ,photogenic and unspoilt. Samples of Sicilian food and wine. Great to get away from the never ending crowds and noise in Taormina. Lovely views of etna, lava flows around the village and surrounding countryside. Alcantara gorge was spectacular and great to learn the unique way it was formed with lava flows. A very enjoyable and relaxing day. Fabio the guide was brilliant and does most of the tours.

Wer das echte Sizilien sucht, wird in Randazzo fündig – eine wunderbar authentische Stadt, die zum Glück noch wenig touristisch ist. Die Verkostung der lokalen Spezialitäten war ein echtes Highlight. Kombiniert mit dem beeindruckenden Wissen unseres Guides Fabio, der uns kompetent durch Randazzo, das Alcantara-Tal und den gesamten Tag geführt hat, haben wir ein tiefes Gefühl für das wahre, authentische Sizilien bekommen. Ein erstklassiges Erlebnis und absolut empfehlenswert.
