Excellent

The time spent on the farm was the highlight of the trip. The farmers knowledge was fascinated and I can fully understand why he had won awards for the farm. Throughout the trip we felt we were having experiences which showed us how local people led their lives rather than it just being another tourist event.

Der Ausflug entsprach nicht der Beschreibung. Die „Farm“ war nur ein touristischer Ort ohne echte Produktion, die angekündigte Teeverkostung fand nicht statt. Der Tempel war in Ordnung, insgesamt aber für rund sechs Stunden Autofahrt wenig interessant und eher enttäuschend.

Met busje naar een prachtig meer gereden, waar een demonstratie dak'pannen' maken van palmbladeren werd gegeven. Daarna naar een prachtige oude tempel, gevolgd door een demo LK sigaretten rollen. Dan met de tuktuk naar de Agrofarm. Een grote variëteit aan specerijen, palmen (kokosnoot, jackfruit, mango etc.) en bananen. Na een heerlijke lunch - voornamelijk eigen productie - nog een demo over hoe de kokosnoot op allerlei manieren gebruikt wordt - melk, olie, vezels etc. Allemaal erg leerzaam.

The farmer himself gave the tour of the farm, and a local temple. The information given was excellent and answered all our questions. He also provided lunch at the farm which was lovely traditional Sri Lankan food. The tour was exactly what were expecting , and is a good excursion as a taster of Sri Lanka.

Sehr interessanter Ausflug für Naturliebhaber, viele Informationen rund um Religion und Landwirtschaft. Das traditionelle Mittagessen war liebevoll angerichtet und lecker. Ich kann den Ausflug weiter empfehlen.

War gut organisiert. Gewürzfarm war sehr interessant. Schade war nur, dass auf die zwei englisch sprachen Gäste mehr eingegangen wurde. Wir waren 4 Deutsche und 2 Engländer und unser deutschsprachiger Guide sprach lieber englisch und da haben wir nicht alles verstanden

The tui rep at club hotel dolphin tried to rip us off by wanting another 100 US dollars off us even though the trip was paid for via the tui app before we left the UK. We refused point blank then he said ok just 50 more, we still refused, he stated well go thro the app and get a refund but it was less than 24 hours before the trip so was not able to. Rep stated go thro tui back in UK and we would get one,asked for something in writing rep then stated we could go on trip no extra cost

We waren met 21 personen en ook al zat ik naast mijn man het laatste koppel dat opgepikt werd kon niet naast elkaar zitten, eentje vooraan naast de chauffeur en de ander helemaal achteraan. Ik vind dat niet kunnen we betalen allemaal genoeg voor de activiteiten. De Tuk tuk rit kun je beter niet benoemen, hebben ingestapt en binnen de 2 km was de rit al gedaan, dit is geen tuk tuk rit hé belachelijk vond ik het. De boerderij was interessant.

Ingen ordentlig plan för dagen. Lägger upp lite efter vad man frågar om. Den lokala guide har sina barn med sig (varför?? så oproffsigt). Tuktuk resan är en sträcka på max 5 min körning, den sista sträckan till farmen som ägs av guiden, var den med för att tuktuk föraren skulle få dricks? Chauffören som hämtade upp och körde var däremot en guldklimp, behåll honom (eller företaget som han jobbar för).

The tour was excellent and so informative, the only issue we had was that there were only two of us on the tour due to the lack of tourists in Sri Lanka, we had one of our other tours cancelled, but this one went ahead even with the two of us. Tours like this were one of the main reasons we booked the holiday, we wanted to visit the real Sri Lanka and not just a staged version.
