Have taken this trip several years ago and really enjoyed it, was just as good this time and liked the extra stop at camel mountain when out in the jeep, the experience at the hotel where Luke Skywalker lived with his relatives has been spoiled with the edition of badly painted characters from the film around the site, making it look cheap and tacky and spoiling the overall effect of the site, other than that it is a great trip and value for money.

Poor

The guide mohammed would start talking on the microphone about the facts and history of the tour and then would stop and start talking to the people without the microphone as a profoundly deaf person this effected me significantly as I didn't get the full story's and facts I did tell the guide that I was deaf but unfortunately nothing was done. not very disabled friendly. Also the hotel you stay in is a sweat box the Aircon doesn't work it really should for a 4 star hotel.

Great

Overall, great tour, value for money, good way of seeing more of the southern part of Tunisia. However, I mainly went on it to see Star Wars New Hope sets, and if you solely want to see these sets this tour is not for you. You will need to find a specialist tour group to take you solely to places such as Lars Homestead Exterior (Chott el Jerid / Chott el Gharsa) and Sidi Bouhlel / Midès Canyons, where the Sand people/Jawas filmed. Guide and driver great. Son enjoyed it as I did. Camel ride/4x4👍

Loved all the experiences. Long hours on the coach were expected and excellent air conditioning on the coach made it bearable and the experiences were worth it! Would have liked a little more time at el Jem as that felt a bit rushed. An even more detailed itinerary in advance would have been helpful. We bought scarves for our camel ride by el Jem only to find that we were taken to a place to buy them more cheaply later in the day. Shame we didn’t know as they were better quality too! Awesome tho

Coach journey too long, despite toilet breaks Despite being all inclusive, this 2 day trip meant we had to stay at another hotel despite meals being included we had to pay for the drinks with all meals Overnight hotel service not great, food was poor. Did not spend long at the sights, hotel had a powercut so no a/c all night. Best thing was camel ride, 4x4 overall only 10/15 mins was spent on the dunes. Would not recommend

Overall the trip was great, good value for money and so much to see and experience in 2 days. Our gude was fantastic too, so knowledgeable. However, customers need to be informed of the 3:45am start on the 2nd day, even more so given the fact it was 50°c in the desert and hotel we stayed at had no air-conditioning.If we were informed before the trip of the rolling power outage during the night from 9pm to 4am we would have cancelled the trip because having no air conditioning was brutal.

Positives: The trip was value for money. We saw a lot in 2 days. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot information a long the trip. All the staff, guides and drivers were very friendly. Overall a very enjoyable trip. Negatives: There were long periods on the coach. I appreciate this was necessary, but I feel customers should be made aware of this, but there were frequent toilet stops. The overnight hotel was poor. Food wasn't good, and the water from the taps was yellow.

This is not a film set tour. In fact we only visited 2 film sets, El Djem (40 minutes) and Mos Espa (20 minutes). We totally missed the Matmata (lars homestead). For done reason we didn’t go there!!!! TUI no help at all, no rep, no communication via email. If you want a Tunisian experience, book this. But if you want film sets, especially Star Wars. Don’t bother.

Interesting visits to El Jem and the star wars sets. Enjoyable camel ride plus 4 x 4 trip into the sand dunes. Overnight stop hotel although basic, was fine for a one night stay. Guide was the best we've had on any trip (and we've taken dozens over the last 10 years or so). The driver was also excellent. I'm surprised this trip can be offered for the price - it's exceptional value for money. I don't feel that anything needs changing (it ain't broke, so don't fix it)!

The fundamental disappointment was this. On the second day we set off at 4:30am to the salt lakes which we pass through en route to the Star Wars village set. After that we travel to have lunch then travel to see a mosque, we arrive back at the bus collection point in Sousse at 5:30pm That’s 13 hours to see three scenarios. An absolute terrible day which everyone on the bus agreed. Amend the trip. Keep the overnight stays go to the salt lakes and Star Wars be back at sousse for 12 noon

The booking was deplorable, the original trip for friday was cancelled the day before due to lack of numbers! The rep then forgot to add us to the rearranged trip and we waited for an hour for a bus to arrive which never did. A TUI rep arrived completely coincidently and queried the agents who advised her we were not on the trip. Her suggestion was to take a taxi (self funded to EL-Jem around 40 miles) and meet up with the coach. She was of no further use and disinclined to assist at all.

Amazing staff. Guide and driver were fantastic. Amazing experiences. Long amount of time on a coach. You should have a age limit on these trips as we had a baby which is wild. Starwars museam isn't worth a viist but once you go to the set its more understandable. Hotel stopover could have been better. Camels could be in better condition. Overall, worth it.

A lot was fitted in. Almost 12000 km covered. Early start first day, with a breakfast bag that had a hard bread roll some tinned meat, margarine, no knife to spread it, some stall chocolate cake and an Orange. No drink provided, only improved by raiding the breakfast from the buffet that was being laid out, in the kitchen restaurant, all we wanted was fresh croissant n water n some fruit. The driver Mahia was amazing. The guide obviously favoured Germans, by saying German is best....

We did this same tour back in 2024. We enjoyed it thoroughly. However our children did not come with us at that time. We came back again because our children wanted to see the star wars sets. This time our guide did not stop us at the Sidi Idriss hotel even though all the other tour buses going around us did (we talked with people from the other tui buses which we saw driving infront of us when we stopped at another stop). We would not have to come to Tunisia if we knew we were going to miss it.

old uncomfortable coach. the ones to/from the airport were far better. Overnight hotel was about a 2/3 star. Second lunch was poor - how can a five start hotel with a fixed menu serve our table 18 minutes after the table before - poorly cooked. Chicken overcooked, potatoes nearly raw. Guide offered to ask for something else but that would have made the whole trip even later. Jeep safari was so so - driver insisted on a tissue box in the middle of the dash which stopped filming forwards.

Lunch service very slow on second day and this impacted the available time to visit the Grand Mosque at Kairouan, it wasn’t really an issue as we were tired and wanted not to hang around too much as we’d previously visited the Grand Mosque at Sousse independently though others may not have. Also I think the Day 2 lunch venue was chosen partly due to the views of the Atlas Mountains, however from where we were located in the Dining Room the views were obscured. The stop here took 1 1/2 hours.

Vielen Dank .

Poor

There was to much travel by coach that were not told about, 12 hours a day, by the time the tour guide finished telling us everything we only had 15_20 mins in each location, just not long enough. Tour guide very abrupt.FOLLOW ME NOW.NEXT. After 4 hours on a coach no toilet stop and stiff legs this was the last thing you needed or wanted. Food served at hotels and resturants provided was bland and soggy and really nasty. I had to pay tourist tax at the over night stay, when I had already

Really good value for money. Got to see a lot in the two days.Colosseum was great with access to all areas. The camel ride at sunset was perfect timing and good to see that animals were properly cared for. The food along the way was good. Plenty of stops on a long bus ride. The two star wars sets visitors were a must for fans and very entertaining. The jeep ride was exciting across the desert terrain. The guide was multilingual which was impressive and enabled good inclusion, he was attentive.

Great

Even though we checked before going on holiday and at our welcome meeting, it was confirmed that we would be picked up at our hotel for the trip. After being up and ready for our 5:40am pick-up, nobody arrived to collect us. It has now cost us time and extra finances to even try to get help regarding a refund but the biggest disappointment is, I booked this trip for my husbands birthday as he’s a big fan of Star Wars…. An opportunity that won’t happen again ??

Day 1 was great. El Jem was fantastic and the Berber village was a brilliant experience. Camels it wasn’t clear you could opt out. We arrived late so missed the sunset and those that did do camels did it in the dark. There seemed to be extra charges constantly and drinks not included and expensive! Day 2. Our guide didn’t move people quickly so we missed sunrise at the salt lake. Essentially sold to all day. Long bus ride and you can’t really see the mosque from the shop with ‘good prices’.

Azdine the guide is an asset to the company. He is very knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. Kept us well informed of the routine, great details about each attraction and gave knowledge about the places/people as we passed through city’s. The attractions were amazing particularly the 4x4 ride and visiting the Berber house. Great value for money, the traditional food provided was delicious. I appreciated the snack/toilet breaks. Just wish I had taken more money….. there was lots of things to buy!

The guide Nasser was fantastic. The coach was very clean, modern and comfortable. The content of the two days was excellent and very good value for money. We loved everything we did and it was varied. An amazing way to see so much of Tunisia. Negatives were no butter with meals, the same thing for both lunches and dinner with a few additions. The evening hotel needed maintenance and a dust but the worse thing for me were the staff in the places we had lunch were abrupt and not very welcoming.

Great

Great experiences throughout the trip. Sunset on camel was amazing followed by beautiful sunrise at the salt lake next morning. Jeeps and starwars setting also very good. Experienced driver and guide full of information about Tunisia and its history. Early mornings a must. Very good value for money. Long coach drives and food could have been improved.

At the overnight stay room ok. Food evening and morning was terrible no signs to say what the food was lack of choice and it tasted awful. Second day after the 4x4 's it was a very long drive to the mosque only to be told you have 20mins. I was disgusted plus the driver needed a rest so he was safe to drive

In all honesty it is a long 2 days BUT it is a fantastic excursion as you see and do so much. The visit to the Colosseum was superb and felt just as amazing as Rome. The guide was very attentive and his knowledge and pride for his country was brilliant. The Camel rides are a must. We were able to see a beautiful sunset with the camels and a fantastic sunrise in the morning at the Salt lake. We also went to 2 locations where Star Wars was filmed ??. We covered 1600km in the 2 days. You must go !

Great

I didn't like - paying for water , on every meal - mosque trip , pointless, we've seen roof of the mosque, not even get close to it , but they try to sell us carpets , I rather go back to hotel early. - guide had connections to hotels and restaurants, they overcharge X4 for everything, Starbucks in Scotland is cheaper :) - I felt forced to tip the driver and the guide, she said 20 Dinar per head because that's 2 day trip . Wrong attitude. They both been nice whole trip
