Wir wurden mit der Sichtung von Walen belohnt, obwohl es schon Ende der Saison war. Phantastisch zu beoachten! Der Stopp auf der Bacardi-Insel war klasse. Die Bootsfahrt sicher und mit jeder Menge Spass verbunden.

Well informed and entertaining tour guide who told us a lot about Domenican Republic. Every step of the journey was well organised and communicated. The boat skipper was skilled and patient making sure we had tracked and seen whales and for everyone on the boat to take photos and videos. REMEBER! you are sailing out to open Atlantic! Sea will be rough. If you suffer with motion sickness take some tablets! Overall experience was fantastic and whales magnificent!

Bus was keurig op tijd om ons op te halen. Daarnaast hadden we een superfijne gids, Danïel die de gehele rit over van alles vertelde over de Dominicaanse republiek en het leven aldaar. De boot ging lekker snel, maar..maakte ook soms flinke klappen door de hoge golven , voor mensen met rugklachten niet echt aan te bevelen dus. We hebben gelukkig nog een enkele walvis kunnen spotten, want...deze periode dat ze daar zijn...lopen op het einde. Dan..Bacardi island..in 1 woord geweldig! Prachtig..

Wir wurden um 06.20 Uhr abgeholt und mussten zunächst 1,5 Stunden lang Gäste aus anderen Hotels abholen. Ebenso auf der Rückfahrt waren wir zusätzliche 1,5 Stunden damit beschäftigt, die Gäste wieder zurückzubringen, eh wir als letztes aus dem Reisebus aussteigen konnten. Insgesamt 3 Stunden sind zu lang!

Long journey to boat NOT catamaran as advertised ham and cheese breakfast??????? In a an expensive souvenir shop with no prices on items Whale watching cut short due to some TUI members been sea sick .Food on island adequate but only 1 hour on a beautiful location and beach .Speed back to coach excellent with music rum and very pleasant ship mates .Overall disappointed as rep made expectations much more than what we experienced

Seeing the whales was a great experience. However, ‘Bacardi’ island was disappointing; only allowed 2 drinks (soft or alcoholic) and only 1 soft drink with lunch, litter all over the island including metal bottle tops (which I nearly stood on with bare feet), only offered rum and coke on the boat and no water.

The guide on the bus explained a lot on the way to the boat and in 3 languages. Staff on the boat was very helpful and we managed to see a few whales which was great! We had lunch on Barcardi island and then onto the beach which was beautiful. We stopped on the way back to change bus we was only 15min away from our hotel but the bus was the old style American bus but decorated in true Dominican style with the paintings and straw roof and good Dominican music it was fun! Overall a great day out

Insel hat nicht das versprochen, was man erwartet hat. Die schönen Strandabschnitte waren privat/Hotel. Der Strand der Insel total überlaufen. Unser Hotelstrand dagegen viel schöner. Fahrt zu lang für das was geboten wurde.

The organizational aspects of our recent whale watching excursion were commendable, and the experience was thoroughly enjoyed. However, we have identified several areas for improvement. The transit time to and from the speedboat constituted nearly three hours in each direction, accounting for seven hours of the total trip duration. Transfer war zu spät. Hauptsächlich Englisch gesprochen. Totales Chaos am Hafen, eine Dame wurde bei einem Streit zweier Straßenhunde verletzt, sie musste erstmal zu Doctor. Wieder einmal warten. Die Walbeobachtung war das einzige an der Tour was gut war. Nur ein Getränk während der Bootsfahrt. Die Barcadi Insel hat so Nix damit zu tun was die Ältere Generation aus der Werbung kennt. Ein Souvenirstand nach dem anderen und Nervige Strandverkäufer. Landschaft usw. schön das trumherum enttäuschend

We were picked up from the hotel and dropped off at a petrol station to wait for the main bus. Journey to the boat around 2 hours including stop at shop for bathroom break shopping and basic breakfast sandwich. Guide was keen to teach us lots around culture. A little chaotic at bus to boat transfer - we saw whales absolutely amazing . So here’s the summary it’s expensive the island is ok food is ok the whale watching amazing - how much is value to see these amazing Whales ??

Er representant på hotellet som sålde resan till oss sa att bussresan från hotellet till piren skulle ta 1 Tim & 15 min. Men den tog 3 Tim & hemresan tog 2 Tim & 50 min. Hade vi vetat det hade vi aldrig bokat denna upplevelse då mesta tiden gick åt att åka buss. Det måste ni bli bättre på att informationen blir korrekt. Skulle gärna vilja ha kompensation för det inträffade.

First, we were told the bus ride from our hotel to the port was 60-90 minutes - our ride took 3 hours and 15 minutes. Upon arrival, there was no boat available. Our tour guide, Daniel, scramble to get a boat and when it finally arrived, it was in poor condition and was not big enough to handle the wavy conditions. Everyone on our boat was soaking wet. The other boats in the area were larger and not tossed around like we were. The whales were beautiful. I have more comments but I'm out of space.

It was an amazing experience seeing a family of humpback whales, the guide Daniel was absolutely incredible and all the other staff we encountered where great as well. The lunch was good. It is a very long day but well worth it.

Saw a mother & baby whale together. Not always guaranteed to see, so very happy. Guide was good, boat crew were good & they made sure everyone got to see & take photos. It was raining, so got soaked but it was worth it. Highly recommend.

Pick up 50 minutes late, no communication till I pressed the rep. Travel bus standard poor with change over on main road, no safety. Later went to lunch , fine then nothing to do on Baracard island for 2 hours , no seating and had to pay for a sun bed. Overall poor and seriously will not recommend

Busfahrt war nicht so anstrengend wie angekündigt. Unterwegs konnten wir einiges an Landschaft sowie einige Ortschaften vom Bus aus sehen. Die Fahrt mit dem Schnellboot war gut, Wale waren auch einige zu sehen. Bacardi-Insel wie zu erwarten war völlig überlaufen. Mittagessen eher mittelmäßig. Rundum können wir den Ausflug trotz kleinerer Abstriche weiterempfehlen.

After using a private van instead of the bus, we arrived at Catalina on time to catch the 9:30 a.m. boat. However, for an unknown reason, the bus and the guide arrived 40 minutes late. Meanwhile, we saw customers from other companies boarding their boats on time and starting to enjoy their day. Once we finally got on the boat, we were lucky to see whales. However, because of the delay, the entire day felt rushed, even on the island. For the price we paid, the organization should be better.

Selve busturen var fin - så noget af øen. Selve bussen manglede toilet. Der manglede i det hele taget toiletmuligheder - de eksisterede ikke. Maden var nogenlunde, men det var ikke en beachlunch - vi sad langt fra stemning og strand. Guiden fin, buschaufføren fin, mændene på båden fin. Men selve bådene var for små. Mange meget store og høje bølger og ingen tryghed på havet. Var bange for båden ville gå i stykker eller tippe og der var ingenting at holde fast i. Meget få og små hvaler.

Tour guide great, waited around an hour on jetty, waiting for speed boat, we felt boat was unsafe, and crossing was scary, boat was bouncing around terribly, someone was sick, also got soaked, was expecting to get a little wet. But we were cold and as wet as jumping in sea.

Amazing experience, our guide Raphiel was fabulous, the guys on the boat made a lot of effort to seek the whales it was well worth it. The boat ride is rough and not for the faint hearted but I’m usually bad with motion sickness and would do it all again. Bacardi island, could be tidier bit of litter around and a little busy but no trouble getting sunbeds, and the beach an waters were beautiful. Lunch was simple, rice salad and chicken but it filled the spot. Highly reccomend this trip

Het wisselen van vervoer na ophalen hotel duurde erg lang zonder uitleg. Bustocht was prima. Gids Castro ook prima, alleen op Bacardi island duurde de vrije tijd te lang en na tocht terug naar de haven weer de bus in . Geen Farola gezien.

Did not feel safe on the boat. The anchor got caught whilst travelling. They couldn’t cut it away. Had to wave another boat down, then had argument with the other boat. Cut the anchor we then drifted at sea. On way back had to stop as engine over heated. Beach disgusting. The boat guides didn’t seem to know here they were going and stop on way back clearly for making money at the shop. Not worth the money. Really disappointed

Didn't like fact that it's a 12 hour day with about 40 minutes of whale watching when day is described as a whale watching excursion although it was awesome to see humpback whales. Very crowded on the island with a dirty beach. Not great for bare feet. Nice lunch. The guide, Danny, was great. Very informative about his country. Very uncomfortable boat ride at times, passengers (me included) at the edges getting soaked right through both ways. Not great to sit in coach home absolutely drenched.

Great day out on speed boats, looking for the whales - we were lucky to see a calf with their mum and a couple of others - staff were excellent, continually trying to find the whales and very informative - the island where we had lunch was beautiful - sun bed was not great, but we spent most the time in the sea - it was a long day, being picked up at 6:30 and dropped back off to hotel at 19:00, with transfer 2 and half hours each way - however would highly recommend and was a great day

The trip was great, it was a well balanced trip with the boat safari and the time on the stunning island Bacardi with the lunch, drinks beautiful beach and sea were perfect. The boat guide, Landrew was excellent. He was determined to give us a good experience and went that extra mile to ensure we experienced several great whale sightings. Didn't like 3.5 hour trip to the boat with all the pick ups

Seeing the whales was a good experience however the practice of chasing towards them and competing with other boats for the best view was disturbing. They also got very close to a mother and her young whale. The toilet facilities on Bacardi are terrible. There were at least 400 people there with only 4 toilets for the women. Many women started using the gents which meant the men had to queue too. The toilets should have been a first priority but most didn’t even have a seat.

The tour guide told us that there would be 2 islands that we would visit and that there would be snorkeling on this trip, which 4 of our groups of 6 wanted to do. We only visited 1 island and there was no snorkeling. The gas fumes from both boats, to and from Bacardi island, was so strong that it made myself and others sick. The food was not good and the fish smelled bad. The whale watching part of this trip was amazing, we got to see a Mama and her baby and that was wonderful!

Fatalna organizacja transferów, przesiadki,przed i po dotarciu do celu autokary w fatalnym stanie słabo działającą klimatyzacja bardzo niski poziom obsługi przewodników Tui, brak informacji o trudności, imprezy,która niestety nie jest dla wszystkich. Bardzo słaba jakość serwisu na miejscu lunch WC itd. Nie polecam. Brałem udział w podobnych Tui Niemcy i było naprawdę dobrze, tutaj dużo do poprawy

Ich finde bei den herrschenden Wetterverhältnissen sollte man den Ausflug absagen und nicht ohne auf Verluste zu kucken gnadenlos durchzuführen. Es hat sher stark geregnet und wir sind im offenen Boot auf die Bacardi Insel gefahren. Auf der Insel standen wir die meiste Zeit unter dem Dach. Nur am Ende bei der Walbeobachtungstour ca. 1,5 St. hat es nicht geregnet. Es ist nicht nur für mich reine Geldmacherei. Wir haben Tui vertraut. Sehr enttäuschend.

Es ist etwas lange bis 13.00 ohne einen Snack. Es ist schade, dass die Baccardi Insel nicht etwas gepflegter ist. (alle Tourunternehmer verlangen 10 USD mehr und Investieren das in die Pflege der Insel.) Es ist ein Cooler Ort. Halbe Stunde früher Starten, mehr Zeit auf der Insel.

Der Guide hat leider von sich aus zu wenig erzählt (Daniel). Er könnte viel mehr auf die Touristen eingehen, sie einbinden und auch mehr erzählen. Wir haben ein paar Sachen nachgefragt und darauf immer gute antworten bekommen. Aber ich finde bei so viel Geld pro Person muss nicht nur der Rum schmecken, sondern auch ein wenig über das Land, in diesem Fall die Tiere (außer sie bekommen hier ihre Babys) erzählt werden. Daher finde ich die 600 Dollar für 3,5 Personen sehr viel.

Transfer information misleading, took at lot longer than reported. Was very informative on journey though about dominican republic. Whale watching was amazing but have to be quick to get good seats otherwise experience can be less as people not considerate of others in middle of boat . Food on island below average . Felt like we had someone elses left overs. Overall good experience, the people on the boat were great at getting the best opportunity to see the whales.

The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable seeing the whales in their natural habitat was truely amazing I did struggle once back as tide had gone out and the step up from boat to dock was very large I had to get off at the front as my mobility wouldn’t of allowed me to get off at the correct part of the boat

Getting in & out of the boat was very difficult for people that are short legged. The trip was amazing & so worth it. Staff allowed my sister and I to stand at the back with them as we couldn't see anything with being 4'11'' It was the most emotional experience. I would definitely do it again

Seeing the whales was lovely but the excursion was misrepresented We were led to believe by TUI rep that it was a big boat with good toilet facilities (not so) It was small Cat. and totally inadequate Getting on and off was dangerous One lady got her leg stuck between the boat and the pier The snack container meat and nothing else available So I did not get “breakfast “ The lunch was inedible so I was all day without food On my ticket it started thatI didn’t eat meat there was a dried up fis

Our guide Carlito was amazing - very knowledgeable, fantastic delivery in all languages, friendly and helpful. The boat crew were also great, taking the time to find lots of whales and providing drinks throughout. Lunch was varied and tasty, and Bacardi island was absolutely beautiful. Overall, a fantastic excursion, and would highly recommend. The transfer was around 3hrs, but Carlito was talking and giving us explanations of the history of the island and information on the whales throughout!

The whale experience very good the travelling to the experience extremely long 3.5 hours to get there 6.:30 -am start 2,5 hours actual experience and 3 hours back to hotel Surely this could be arranged more effectively

I sooo enjoyed the bus driver and the guide he was sooo informative about the areas and culture we were in the driver drove so cautiously no speeding or craziness I loved that part. The pier I m allergic to dogs that was not cool there were dogs everywhere. The tour was good the boat driver was very experienced I didn’t even feel the bad waves. No one can tell the whales when to come up so it was fine. The island was cool and clean no pressure to buy stuff. Beach was clean and plenty of seats

Thank you for a great trip. Interesting, informative. The guide is great!!! Comfortable bus, clean interior. But there is a but... Toilets, toilets, toilets!!! Ticket service on the beach could be better

Le guide n’a principalement commenté qu’en anglais et allemand. Il a demandé s’il y avait des francophones. C’était le cas mais les commentaires en français ont été très succincts. Le repas du midi était très frugal. Le petit déjeuner a été agrémenté d’un café servi dans un mini short !

Un détail :! Avant le départ plus rien à grignoter et la matinée était longue !!! Sinon belle excursion avec les baleines au RV malgré une météo peu favorable Repos sur l’île très agréable Retour dans un van pour 7 où nous étions 8 très serrés la sécurité n’était pas respectée !!!!!!

Amazing day ?? Tour guide Carlos was fab - made the most of the day - lots to eat and drink, Barcardi Island was amazing, best part was seeing the whales - experience of a lifetime !

Bacardi Island lacks the wow factor. The location we were taken to was very tired and in need of an upgrade on most levels. It wouldn't cost a fortune to create a much better experience. Our guide and the boat crew were very good. Seeing the magnificent whales is defiantly a holiday highlight.

Först - det var jätteroligt att se valarna. Höjdare. Sen - alldeles för lång transfer. Vi hämtades upp först och lämnades av sist. 1,5 timme åkte vi mellan olika hotell och hämtade upp folk, dessutom glömde guiden bort oss på hemresan så vi fick åka ännu längre. Därutöver 2 timmar till båtarna. Totalt 7 timmar fram och tillbaka. Lite väl mastigt på skumpiga vägar. Måste gå att ordna på annat sätt. Totalt borta 13 h. La Farola hoppade de över. Klen "frukost", torr macka och vattenflaska.

Wir waren von diesem Tag extrem enttäuscht. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passte überhaupt nicht und wir werden keine Touren bei TUI mehr buchen. Wir haben ca. 5 Min. 2 Wale sehen können und dafür sind wir ca. 2h mit einem schäbigen Boot unterwegs gewesen. Wir sind komplett nass geworden, was an der Fahrleistung des Kapitäns und dem schlechten Zustand des Bootes lag. Die Liegen auf der Insel Bacardi waren eine Zumutung. Es fehlt leider Platz um mehr Defizite zu nennen...
