Esta es una auténtica visita a una bodega calabresa con una diferencia. Dirigidos por el calabrés Cosmo Rombolà, los viñedos de Cantina Masicei gozan de una ubicación inmejorable en las laderas con vistas a la costa de Tropea. Los expertos le explicarán el proceso de cultivo y elaboración del vino antes de completar la visita con una degustación de los vinos ecológicos de Cosmo maridados con delicias locales. Olivia, una de nuestras guías locales, afirma: "Calabria siempre ha sido una tierra de carácter fuerte, y el vino de aquí lo refleja. Nada es tímido, nada es precipitado".La bodega es el testimonio de la dedicación de una familia a revivir y honrar el patrimonio agrícola del territorio de Brattiroese y más allá. Es algo más que la elaboración de vino: es un compromiso con la tierra, una vuelta a las raíces y una celebración del espíritu generoso del territorio: "En estas laderas se puede saborear el mar y la montaña en el mismo vaso. Uns wurde kein deutlicher Treffpunkt zum abholen mitgeteilt. Und das Anrufen, auf mitgeteilten Telefonnummer, hat uns auch nicht geholfen. Ist nur Enttäuschung, und um sonst verlorenes Geld!

Bussresan tog majoriteten av tiden. Folk som inte dök upp och där guiderna sprang runt och letade i en kvart. Dålig språkkunskaper på guiderna. Vingården var ointressant och vinerna inte precis kvalitetsvkber.

Advertised as 4 hours but due to badly organised pick ups & drop offs the total trip was 6 1/2 hrs with only 2 of those being at the vineyard. It wasn't so much a tour as a 15 minute chat about grapes in front of vineyard followed by tapas & 6 shots of wine. Extremely overpriced trip.

Liian lyhyt aika varattu vierailuun. Lisäksi olisimme halunneet kuulla enemmän viininvijelystä ja valmistuksesta. Nyt tietoa saatiin aivan yleisellä tasolla. Lähinnä tilaisuus oli viinin maistajaiset. Olisimme olleet hieman pitempään tilalla.

Es war ein sehr schöner Ausflug, auf dem Weingut war alles sehr entspannt, ein toller Nachmittag. Leider eine etwas längere Anfahrt, die jedoch die Reiseleitung mit sehr viel Erzählungen über die Gegend verkürzt hat. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Resan som skulle vara 2-4 timmar blev 6. Två sällskap lämnade bussen redan strax efter avfärd då de fick veta att den skulle vara längre. Vi hade dock ingen tid att passa så vi hängde med. Guiden talade tyska och engelska i en salig blandning så det var svårt att hänga med. Hade varit bra med en nordisk guide också. Själva målet var dock bra och vi hade en bra känsla när vi åkte hem.

Hotelleilta keräävän bussin reittisuunnittelu voisi olla parempi. Viinimaistaminen & kerronta olisi voinut olla rytmitetty. Nyt kaikki kerronta tuli kerralla eikä niitä enää muistanut kun tuli aika viiniä maistaa.

Die 2 Stunden in Masicei selber waren fantastisch. Traumhafter Ausblick über die Weinberge auf den Stromboli und die Liparischen Inseln dazu diese kalabrischen Köstlichkeiten sowie eine sympathische und umsichtige Reiseleiterin. Ein wirklich schönes Erlebnis. Allerdings waren die 2 Stunden Anreise und dann auch wieder 2 Stunden Abreise für 30 km eine Zumutung. Wir sind in Pizzo gestartet und haben gefühlt an jedem Hotel bis Brattiro angehalten.

Rundum war es wieder ein schöner Ausflug Allerdings hat uns die Gruppengröße mit knapp 30 Personen, im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr mit 12, nicht gefallen. Wir haben den Ausflug aufgrund der beworbenen kleinen Gruppe erneut gebucht und waren daher etwas enttäuscht.

We found the whole trip to be very informative and interesting, the owner of the vineyard and the TUI guide were very helpful and knowledgeable, the only comment I would like to make is the walk back to the coach after the tour was quite demanding in the heat of 40 degrees, otherwise the trip was very good.

Alt i alt var det rigtig godt. Men, der var 2 timers buskørsel - hver vej - fra hotellet og så ca. 2,5 timers vin- og madsmagning. Det havde været rart at vide fra starten. Nå, men det var en god eftermiddag og lidt morsomt, da et beruset svensk ægtepar på hjemturen vågnede og fandt ud af at bussen var ved slutdestinationen og de skulle have været af et stop 30 minutter tidligere :-)

Vi kommer fram kl 23:00 , som tur är får vi en macka o en vattenflaska! Det står att baren är öppen till 24:00 , det stämmer INTE. Den stänger kl 23:00 = vi gick ingen kvälls grogg.?? Det fanns inga kepsar, badskor eller badhandukar att köpa i närheten. Det kunde man göra vid stranden! Men då måste man ha kontanter. Frågade i receptionen om man kunde ta ut med” chefen” vägrade hjälpa till. Hänvisade os till en uttagsautomat 1,5 km från receptionen. Tilda från sverige Tui fixade pengar!????

The whole afternoon at the vineyard was exceptional Cosmo and the family were very good helpful and Informative. The food was fantastic the wine and how each wine is blended and served was there for everyone to listen to. The location was wonderful so peaceful and beautiful sat amongst the vines and looking over the other islands even Stromboli. We had a fantastic afternoon thank you

We enjoyed the food just wish there was a bit of snack option if you didn’t feel like going to the main restaurant. Thought the place was really clean. Was kept awake for two nights with the fire alarms keep going off so a bit sleep deprived.

Insgesamt sehr guter Ausflug, die Reiseführerin war sehr gut, hat sehr viele interessante Dinge erzählt. Am Weinberg fantastischer Ausblick. '-' Punkte, weil man hin und zurück bei 30* Hitze laufen müsste. Am sonsten-war alles sehr schön und entspannt.

Would have been better being advertised as a Calabrian Wine and Lunch Tour! Host was very engaging! However all the wines were explained first then it try the wine at your own wanting. Would have been nice if each wine was served and then spoken about and matched with the great lunch that was provided. In terms of setting and wine quality couldn’t fault and the wines were a good price for the quality

Though a beautiful setting, I felt it was just about selling the wine. I had expected a tour around their facility’s to see how the wine was produced, there was just a talk about the wine. I expected to have been shown different wines that were recommended for each individual food but it was just laid out, it was however nice food. The tui rep was very pleasant but it was sadly not what I expected

Too long coach transfer. No visit to show wi e making process. Just wine tasting. Picture of experience miss leading shows a getting together under trees. Reality was in a room. Tui advertise 4 hours experience. It was 6 hours. All this could be fixed by having tasting on hotel site. Cheaper overall. Lots more people would attend. No coach or driver better than carting 60 people long distance. The whole experience very poor

The actual vineyard experience was amazing. The location is breath taking. And wine and food spot on however before you book it be mindful of the time it takes to get there. We were totally mislead by the tui staff that sold us the trip who told us it was a 50 minute journey but failed to mention the fact you would spend an hour before on the coach before that picking up others from a nunber of different hotels . Everyone who booked from. magic life hotel was very upset by this.

The vineyard itself was amazing! Great wine, views and the food was fab. However, the 3 hour round trip from The Magic Life took allot of the shine off and we got back so late on our last night we were quite upset. Too many pick ups on the way so was harder to enjoy the trip plus booking said 2-4 hours, it’s 5.5hrs. Do better Tui.

This was a lovely end to a week’s holiday. With stunning views down to Tropea, an interesting and passionate talk from Cosmo about his vineyard, expertly translated into both England and German by Betty our Guide, and of course some delicious wines to try. Plus a wonderful selection of cheese, olives, red onions, bread, omelettes, meat and more. I went by myself but met some lovely people. I would definitely recommend this for an authentic Calabrian experience

Die Anfahrt war mit mehr als anderthalb Stunden sehr lang, darauf sollte man vorher hinweisen, zumal der Guide erst nach über einer Stunde zugestiegen ist.

It might have been helpful to manage people’s expectations to explain that it is a 90 min journey from Magic Life to the vineyard so it is a 6 hour trip and we didn’t get back until 7.30pm. Having said that the journey was beautiful and lovely to see the coast line, houses, crops etc and Stromboli in the distance. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and our guide Betty translated the owner’s description of the wines into English and German. The wines and food were delicious.

There is no mention in the description that most of the trip is in German, with short explanations in English. Another problem is the amount of time spent on a bus picking up other guests - it was 3 hours out of about 6 hours of the trip. The actual vineyard with tasting was a good experience, but with the language barrier Cosmo couldn’t really tell much about wine making at the estate

The guide Betti was great and very helpful, covering everything in English and German. Cosmo and vineyard team were incredible. Very generous offering of wine and local delicacies, got to sample many wines and lots of local produce with the option to buy but zero pressure. We had a fantastic afternoon in beautiful scenery. Travel from magic life was 90min each way which is extra to the 2-4h fyi!

food and wine plentiful. You have to walk for 10 minutes in the blazing sun, which isn't mentioned in the description. Also it is uphill on the way back and not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Guide spent more time speaking German than English

Alles war sehr gut organisiert. Die Aussicht, das Essen und die Weinauswahl waren hervorragend. Zwei kleine Anmerkungen: - Da der Bus etwas groß war musste man ein kleines Stück zum Weingut laufen. Der Weg war sehr schön und das war kein Problem. Ein Hinweis darauf im Vorfeld wäre trotzdem gut gewesen um Schuhwerk anzupassen oder gehschwache vorzuwarnen. - Am Weingut angekommen ging es gleich los. Eine kurze Pause, sodass sich alle erstmal Wasser holen können, wäre gute gewesen.

De trip houdt echt enkel wijn proeven in, en wat eten. Geen klachten over de producten e´n de ontvangst, maar wie denkt iets van het productieproces te leren of te zien, of een mooie foto van een wijngaard te scoren, is eraan voor de moeite. Zeeeer beperkt.

Visite d’un vignoble Calabrais, Je m’attendais à aller entre les vignes, visiter peut être les cuves où repose le vin, il n’en est rien ! Dégustation de vin calabrais serait plus exacte . Je trouve que pour le prix, dégusté un fond de verre de 6 vins, est un peu fort Serte, la vue était magnifique, mais je m’attendais à plus que ça. J’ai payé 141€ avec mon mari pour un point de vue et des fonds de verres… bon … un peu déçue. Par contre : les zakouskis étaient bons.

The transfer was lengthy, we left the hotel at 1.30 and arrived back at 8pm. We had checked with the office the previous day and were told we'd be back around 6pm. Not a problem for us, but something I feel TUI team members should be aware of advising future customers. The experience itself was amazing. Beautiful setting, very informative, and of course lovely wine and food.

Die Weinprobe war ein wirklich schönes Erlebnis. Geschmackvolle Weine, schöne Lokation wo sie dann stattfindet. Ein "Herzblut"-Winzer und eine tolle Reiseleitung die das italienische direkt ins deutsche übersetzt hat. Würden wir sofort wieder buchen. Was nicht so gut war war der Bus . Dieser hatte einige Defekte Sitze und sah auch an anderen Stellen im Inneren etwas ramponiert aus. Das ist nicht so vertrauenswürdig.

Eine tolle und faszinierende Reiseführern. Nicht nur die Weine sondern auch die Winzerein haben unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Auswahl des Weinberges passte zu der Umgebung Calabrien. Ein tolles Erlebnis. Besonders weil Weine aus Calabrien in Deutschland kaum zu bekommen sind.

The wine and food tasting itself was excellent and the local guide and the vineyard owner and family interesting and helpful. There was a problem with the pick-up which spoilt things to begin with

The winery was good lacked a bit of shelter from the rain , Was upsetting that we where not shown how the wine was made as that was called off last minute because they where working in the cellar. Which if they knew we where coming why didn’t they wait. I feel if it wasn’t the end of the season we would have gone to the cellar. Two hours picking people up going past where the winery actually was it would have taken an hour and a half off the trip if they had been picked up via a smaller car.

Fantastic! Beautiful setting, great group of people (our group was only about 30 max) and of course amazing wine. Thanks to Mimi for being a great guide and Cosmo for the hospitality. Wonderful food and drink under the olive trees overlooking the Calabrian hills with Strombolii the background. Magical.

Eine schöne und interessante Tour. Nur leider etwas zu teuer. 60€ statt 80,- wären angemessen. Kleiner Tipp: 1 kleine Flasche Wein als Andenken für den Tourist und gleichzeitig Werbung für den Winzer fände ich toll.

80 € erscheinen uns etwas überteuert. Es sollte vorher kommuniziert werden, dass es bei Einsatz eines großen Busses ein ganzes Stück Fußweg gibt, um das Weingut zu erreichen. Insgesamt ein toller Ausflug zu einer sehr schönen location,der sich gelohnt hat.

Der Weg vom Bus zum Weingut muß im Angebot erwähnt werden. 15 Min. Fußmarsch hin und zurück. Nicht für jeden zumutbar. Das Weingut, die Jause und der Wein sehr gut. Habe 24 Flaschen bestellt. Werner Futschik

The Wine tasting tour was interesting & enjoyable. Unforunately whilst the guide was a very nice lady her spoken English was by her own admission poor and as a result she was hard to understand at times. However we really enjoyed the wine tasting & the accompanying buffet was lovely. My only regret was that I didnt leave more room in my suit case to take home more wine! NB; This is probably not a trip for families with young children as the details of the wine-making process was in X3 languages
