Dos experiencias muy diferentes en Lanzarote comparten protagonismo en esta excursión de domingo por la mañana. Podrá mezclarse con los lugareños en el mercado de Teguise -el mayor bazar al aire libre de Canarias- y empaparse del polvo de Hollywood del legendario LagOmar. Ramona, una de nuestras guías locales, afirma: "LagOmar es uno de mis lugares favoritos: una espectacular casa-museo de obras de arte, donde se puede admirar el genio de Manrique y Soto".Más de 360 puestos se agolpan en la bonita plaza de Teguise y en las calles adoquinadas adyacentes, así que no le faltará donde elegir. Las mesas crujen con intrincados encajes canarios, productos alimenticios y todo tipo de joyas, pinturas y artesanía. Y todo ello aderezado con un ambiente carnavalesco gracias a las bailarinas folclóricas, los trenzadores de pelo y las bandas de zampoñas. Además, las compras ayudan a la economía local y a la comunidad. Ramona dice: "El mercado dominical de Teguise no es sólo para ir de compras: puedes sentir el auténtico estilo de vida canario, con bares, cafés y la historia de esta hermosa antigua capital de Lanzarote".Si el mercado es una fiesta para los sentidos, el LagOmar lo es para la vista. Fue concebido por el arquitecto local César Manrique y diseñado por el artista local Jesús Soto. Situado en una cantera volcánica, parece el tipo de lugar donde el archivillano de Bond, Ernst Blofeld, trama la dominación del mundo. El laberíntico complejo cuenta con un bar-cueva, un restaurante, apartamentos y un museo. Según la tradición local, fue durante un tiempo propiedad del legendario actor de Hollywood Omar Sharif, pero lo perdió en una partida de cartas.

Lagomar war super schön und es gab genügend Zeit vor ort. Der Markt war sehr voll und wenige rein Einheimische Stände dafür viele stände um gefakte Markensachen zu Kaufen. Die Stadt war sehr schön.

Lagomar een mooie stop. Ook al was het huis slechts 24 uur van Omar Sharif, stukje geschiedenis. In de vulkaan verwerkt huis. De moeite waard om te bekijken. De markt is enorm groot en druk. Maar bijvoorbeeld Chanel nummer 5 voor € 20,- ?? Zal de rest ook nep zijn. Wat mooi was is dat er nog carnaval gevierd werd en verschillende bands nog spectaculair optraden. Vond dat de gids slecht Duits sprak.

The trip was well organised and the guide was pleasant and well informed. The market was great and we had more than enough time there Sadly we felt time allowed at Lagomar was limited and we would’ve liked more time to have explored. A coach full of people took more time and we were rushed through with no time to read information boards. We felt pick up information was poor. We asked for confirmation on our interpretation of the instructions and were picked up at the bus stop across the road.

The local market on the Sunday which was huge but repetitive stalls was good BUT it would have been good to be informed about the house in the cave once owned by Omar Sharif not being easily accessible by the older generation which accounted for a lot of your clientele. It was positively dangerous climbing up numerous steps not always with handrails in cave like conditions and then having to go over stepping stones in shallow water where one could lose their balance, which was quite dangerous!

Bokade en engelsk guidad tur. Tyvärr var det mer tyska än engelska. Guiden var kunnig men bröt med bred tysk brytning när hon ändrade till engelska i samma tonläge. Hon pratade alldeles för fort. Svårt att förstå.

Upphämtningsplatsen var inte självklart beskriven. Dessutom blev andra upplockade vid sina hotell. Vi gick helt rimligt 15 minuter till en busshållplats men passerade vårt eget hotell två gånger vid utresan. På hemresan frågade vi om vi fick hoppa av vid vårt hotell och det kunde vi...

The bus arrived on time and the guide was very knowledgable. She gave lots of information about the history and present time of Lanzarote. A longer stay at the market would have been appreciated to see more of the town and relax with a drink and something to eat but not everyone would want that. If returning woulf consider the market only trip but the TUI rep said this may be cancelled.

Greit med egen busssjåføren var flink å kjøre,guide flott og pratsom som kunne språk. Men når man ikke er stødig på engelsk blir det vanskelig og når hun prater så fort blir det verre. Alt for kort tid på markedet og få se seg rundt på tequise ,skulle stått i programmet at det opphodet varte bare i 2 timer og bare 1 time i huset, fikk ikke tid til lunsj engang. Når man leste om utflukten står det fra 4-8 timer.

Both LagOmar and the Market are interesting places to visit. LagOmar has steep and narrow steps. In our case there was a fair amount of visitors, cramping some of the corridors and rooms. Also the steps... The market blends interesting stalls with many stalls selling fake luxury goods like handbags, shoes, t shirts and sunglasses. The weather was against us that day, cold cold wind with occasional showers. Many of us were back on the bus long before departure time. Knowledgable guide!

Waarom moest ik naar verzamelpunt op 1 km. ( in de stromende regen) Terwijl de bus door mijn (hotel) straat kwam? Andere passagiers werden gehaald en gebracht van/naar hun hotel. Ik ben na afloop wel netjes voor hotel afgezet.

George the guide who seemed to have a sense of humour at first went on to treat us like children. Lagomar is beautiful and worth a visit as it teguise, however I would get a taxi and do it on your own time. He would not tell us the time of the return coach so that we HAD NO CHOICE but to follow him and listen to him go on and on………. He said everything in German to be awkward before telling us the time of the return journey. He felt like a strict teacher on a school trip!

Lagomar ist toll. Hier könnte vielleicht mehr Zeit verbracht werden und die ganze Geschichte schon vorab im Bus erklärt werden mit Verweis zu den Infotafeln vor Ort. Dann kann man es vor Ort leichter wiederfinden. Wer noch nie dort war wird sich schwertun, bei den ganzen Eindrücken die Geschichte (va. der Verlust durch das Bridge-Spiel) dort zu entschlüsseln. Gerne wieder. Teguise Markt ist ein Erlebnis, ja, aber überlaufen und das meiste bekommt man auch an anderen Orten. Besuch eher ohne Markt

Umfangreiche Innformationen während der gesamten Fahrt durch den Guide. Allerdings Dauerbeschallung in drei Sprachen ( englisch, deutsch, spanisch) . Bequemer Reisebus, sehenswerter Markt und Bazar mit individuellen kleinen Geschäften und Restauration. Großer Bazar. Lagomar , entworfenen von César Manrique, welcher die gesamte Insel durch Bau- und Kunstwerke prägt sehr imposant und erlebenswert. Nicht machbar für Menschen mit Geheinschränkung.

Overall enjoyable experience. Guide very good although a bit rushed at times. Provided interesting and informative insight into the places we visited. Would have liked more time to enjoy a bite to eat in Teguise and then particularly at Lagomar where it was something of a sprint.

I enjoyed the market but unfortunately the house wasn't suitable for anyone with any walking problems.In fact 4 people couldn't even attempt the steps as they were too steep and no hand rails.I feel this problem should be made clearer.

Je krijgt een indruk van het vulkanisch landschap tijdens de rit. De markt is een toeristisch gebeuren, veel nep en erg druk. Het plaatsje ligt op 311 mtr hoogte. Jammer dat onze vriendelijke gids niets vertelde over het eiland. We zaten naast haar, dus ik kon vragen stellen. Het huis van de kunstenaar was apart, niets voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn vanwege vele trappen.

The excursion was sold as a tour. The guide was ok and chatted in English and German on the way to LagOmar. Once there we were just given a map and told to be back at the bus in 50mins. There was no guided tour. We were then driven to Teguise market and again dropped off and told to be back in 2 hours. The guide gave us helpful landmarks to find our way back to the bus. We enjoyed the sights but the excursion shouldn't be called a tour with a local guide as it definitely was not.

we have done this market before and nothing had really changed other than it's got a lot bigger and the coach and rep were as good as they could have been my one complaint is that you never explained that Lagomar had a lot steps that older people could not deal with so on that you failed.

Just the right amount of time at each of the places visited. Great informative guide. The market was enormous with a good range of different products being sold. We tried savoury empenadas, delicious! I would recommend this excursion to anyone looking for both souvenirs and fashion items.

Love the market. Be nice to go somewhere different than Lagomar. The market is ok. We like to explore out side of the market. Which we did. Been to Lahomar many times. First time we went our guild was not very talkative. Abrupt. Hardly any information. The second time Helga was very informative. Gave out so much information.

Lagomar ist wunderschön und absolut sehenswert. Der Markt, den wir im Anschluss besuchten, ist sehr groß. Die Auswahl alkerdings äusserst beschränkt auf Lederwaren, Mützen, Taschen etc. 1 Stunde statt 2 std Aufenthalt hätte mir dort genügt

Kompetente und sehr freundliche Reiseleitung. Die Aufenthaltsdauer an beiden Örtlichkeiten war gut bemessen. Man hätte auf dem Markt in Teguise wohl noch mehr Zeit verbringen können. Die vorgegebene Zeit war aber voll in Ordnung. Auch der Fahrer des Busses machte einen sehr sicheren und erfahrenen Eindruck. Insgesamt ein lohnenswerte Angebot.
