Qué esperar
Las tortugas bobas llevan miles de años habitando las playas de Zante y, con un poco de suerte, podrá verlas de primera mano en esta excursión en barco. Únase a un guía local experto para pasar un día educativo en el mar, pasando por lugares de anidamiento, nadando en bahías escondidas y pasando tiempo en el pueblo de Keri. Bianca, una de nuestras guías, afirma: "En una sola excursión, podrá zambullirse en aguas cristalinas, navegar por la península de Keri y, con suerte, ver tortugas".Disponible por la mañana desde el puerto de Zante o por la tarde desde el puerto de Keri, este crucero de medio día es una auténtica delicia para toda la familia. Pasará por las doradas playas de Vassilikos y Marathonisi, un islote cubierto de pinos apodado "Isla de las Tortugas". La razón es sencilla: una de sus playas es uno de los lugares preferidos por las tortugas para anidar. Bianca, que vive en Zante desde hace más de 20 años, dice sobre el paisaje: "Puedes hacer esta excursión mil veces y cada día es diferente". Asegúrese de estar atento a las caguamas, e incluso puede que vea algún que otro delfín salvaje.Además, navegará a lo largo de la península de Keri, pasando junto a sus acantilados, cuevas y faro, antes de echar el ancla para nadar en la bahía de Oasis. En el pequeño pueblo de Keri, podrá hacer una parada rápida para comprar recuerdos, relajarse en una taberna típica o ir a la playa. Además, un voluntario del grupo local de conservación ARCHELON -la Sociedad de Protección de las Tortugas Marinas de Grecia- estará a bordo para informarle sobre su trabajo.

Excursión matinal: Llegará al puerto, en el centro de Keri, sobre las 12:45 h. Los autocares para el traslado de vuelta le esperarán en el aparcamiento central y saldrán a las 13:00.

Tried on multiple occasions leading up to the day of the excursion to cancel it, however the system wouldnt allow me even though it was at least 24hours before, we were having to cancel as it would have been too much of a risk to get back in time to the hotel to catch the bus to the airport as our flight time changed to an earlier time. So i will be very reluctant to book excursions through yourselves going forward as I have not lost out on money

Presentatie op de boot a.d.h.v. foto's kon niet door iedereen gevolgd worden omdat deze op een centrale plek werd gegeven. Heel jammer aangezien je zo veel info mist. De gids was slecht te verstaan. Door terugkerende zwemmers werd vloer van boot heel glad waardoor een mevrouw enorm onderuit ging. Bus op terugweg bleek ineens een minibus te zijn, de chauffeur was drukker met bellen dan met zijn passagiers. Reed flink door. Geen schildpad gezien helaas.

De boot trip was op zich wel leuk met voldeed niet aan de verwachtingen. Allereerst zijn diverse mensen na het zwemmen uitgegleden op de natte vloer. Waarbij 1 vrouw lelijk terecht kwam. Daarnaast was de schildpadden tocht slecht. Allereerst was de boot te groot. Er waren wat kleinere boten die wel schildpadden gevonden hadden maar daar k9nden wij niet bijkomen omdat de boot te groot was. Alles moest op grote afstand ivm d3 grote van de boot. Al met al een leuk tochtje maar niks bijzonder gezoen

Very little direction and mist time qas spent promoting the charity for donations. When we did see a turtle the biat felt ad thiugh it was going to ecapsize. Mire time was spent just looking at hills and trying to sell photos taken.

De boottocht was leuk. De plekken waar je kon zwemmen ook.We hebben 1 schildpad gezien wat een geluk was want er voeren allemaal kleine boten omheen. Dat vonden wij niet heel diervriendelijk Er werden bij het begin foto's gemaakt waarvan je dan een magneet,sleutelhangers kon kopen. De chauffeur was chagrijnig en we moesten terug lang wachten omdat 1 andere bus vertraagd was en de hostesses met ons mee moesten.geen communicatie hierover. Ook geen dag zeggen toen ze er eerder uitgingen. VREEMD

Schöner Bootsausflug aber eher unspektakulär, wenn man bereits einen anderen Bootsausflug gemacht hat! Guide hat leider sehr undeutlich gesprochen, durch die Lautsprecher waren die Ansagen auf dem mittleren Deck schlecht zu verstehen. Badestopps eher unspektakulär. Von der Schildkröten-Organisation gab es einen kurzen Vortrag, einmal ist das Boot bei einer möglichen Sichtung stehen geblieben - das war es leider aber auch. Da haben wir uns mehr erwartet, auch ohne Garantie auf eine Sichtung!

De samenwerking met Archelon is super en daardoor besloot ik ook deze excursie te boeken. De meisjes hebben een mooie uitleg gedaan en verkochten leuke spullen om hen te steunen. Ze zeiden echter dat er maar maximum 2 boten in de buurt van de schildpadden mochten en op bepaalde afstand. Er waren echter ontelbare kleine bootjes die vlakbij de enige schildpad kwamen die we konden zien. Dit moet echt stoppen! Het was gevaarlijk en stresserend voor het beestje.

Graag wat eerlijker informatie, bijvoorbeeld dat de schildpadden zelden gezien worden tijdens de tocht. Wat op zich logisch is gezien de hoeveelheid boten en bootjes, ik zou als (bedreigde) schildpad me ook niet laten zien met al die drukte. De beloofde blauwe grotten slechts op enorme afstand gezien. Kortom, een aardig boottochtje maar niet wat er tevoren beloofd wordt.

We loved seeing a turtle and the boat experience. The staff were great and the guide was amazing. What also impressed was the variety of food and drink on the boat. The whole tour was so well organised apart from the arrival of the busses to take us back. We knew our bus number but the busses were parked in different places and arrived at different times creating confusion amongst the guests. This didnt put us off. We loved the experience though and would do it again and recommend to anyone.

Great experience, grote-, nette- en mooie- en veilige boot 🛥️. Vriendelijk personeel, genoeg zitruimte voor ieder wat wils (verschillende dekken) twee zwemstops en veel uitleg van de Nederlandse Gids van onze dag (Bianca), snackbar aan boord voor de nodige versnappering. Zelfs een grote schildpad 🐢 gezien van dichtbij, daar neemt de kapitein ook zijn tijd voor. Zeker een aanrader, goed georganiseerd door Tui, transfer vanaf hotel tot aan de haven, je wordt goed begeleid !

De boottocht was heerlijk en zonnig. Jacht op de schildpadden, want zo vond ik het, was triest. Beest werd door 5 boten ingesloten. Kwam een paar keer boven, terwijl er werd gezegd dat als ze boven zijn geweest ze dan een half uur onder water blijven. Dus wij hadden TOEVALLIG geluk! Alle beesten die met voer gelokt worden blijven komen. Vond t vreselijk zielig. Ik ga nooit meer iets ondernemen wat met dieren te maken heeft.

Erg leuk! Buggy mocht ook mee op de boot. Ons zoontje van 2 kon nog even een kleurplaat kleuren. Reisleidster Bianca had zelfs nog even tijd om dit met hem te doen. Verder echt prachtige uitzichten! Wij vonden het qua lengte, een halve dag, echt helemaal goed. Ook bustransfer duidelijk en goed geregeld. Wij hadden de ochtendtocht eind september, daardoor was de boot voor de helft vol, wat genoeg bewegingsruimte gaf. O ja! En schildpaddem gezien.

Understand that we might not see the turtles but the only remote chance we would was near laganas and we were told to keep and eye out in case one popped its head up?! Also when we stopped for our last swim stop near a nice bay, there was suddenly a lot of floating toilet paper in the sea, assuming from our boat whilst people were still in the sea! For a trip promoting safety of turtles, contaminating the sea seemed a bit contradictory!

We had a great trip, although the weather was against a little,so we didn’t see any turtles. Pick up went well, trip was great, boat staff friendly & good. The only hiccup was that our return bus was late so instead of a half hour wait it’s nearly an hour. Have no idea why it never turned up. But replacement guy was great

We waren nog niet goed vertrokken of ik had alleen buikgevoel dat we geen schildpadden gingen zien... Het zijn beestjes en inderdaad, jagen erop is inderdaad ook maar zielig. Maar ze vertelde meteen al dat ze niet gingen blijven circuleren rond 1 schildpad. Wat ik absoluut begrijp, maar dan vind ik het jammer dat deze trip dan wordt aangeboden... De kans dat je er 1 zou zien lijkt me onwaarschijnlijk..

Ik raad je aan om in mei, aug of de 1e week van september te gaan. Dan heb je de meeste kans op het zien van de schildpadden. Ik was net te laat. Het broedseizoen was al afgelopen en de eieren waren 1 week ervoor uitgekomen op het strand. Leuk boottochtje met veel bezienswaardigheden.

Do not expect to see any turtles on this trip, and you do not get time to shop in the harbor city. This is basically just a cruise that goes on for far too long, with very little to see or do. Safety onboard not good, and you will be far better off buying a private trip from a local guide. This trip is a tourist trap. You also spend around 2 hours in total just riding the bus to/from the harbour with no guide onboard to tell you anything. Trip is falsely advertised and oversold.

Although unfortunately we didn't see any turtles the whole experience was very good. The scenery whilst travelling on the boat was superb there were 2 stops for swimming. The boat was a decent size so although there were three coaches on board there was plenty of room for everyone not to feel cramped. We would definitely recommend it. We started at Keri cove and finished at Zante Town.

De trip werd heel mooi voorgesteld door de Tui representative. De werkelijkheid veel minder. De busschauffeur reed onverantwoord. De verantwoordelijke van Tui ter plaatse zei dat de boot binnen 10min ging vertrekken, echter hebben wij nog 50min stilgestaan en las ik nadien online dat je in het stadje kon rondlopen. We hebben de Keri caves niet gezien, de uitleg was onverstaanbaar en we hebben maar zitten rondvaren zonder al te veel uitleg. Heel teleurstellend...

The trip was great. But don't expect to see turtles. Some of the boats are like sharks. The TUI rep was poor. She spoke to fast and it was unclear what she was saying. Also the other rep seemed to explain more about where we where than the English one.

It was raining when we started walking to our pick up point by the time we got half way we was wet so we thought we would be sitting on a boat for half a day wet through , was also thinking it would be cancelled any how to the bad weather so we turned round and went back to our room to dry off

We went on this trip on a rainy and windy day. The bottom deck was full because of the rain and numerous people became sea sick because of the weather. We didn’t see any turtles and just sat on the boat hoping to not get sick for the whole time.

Lovely tour/ day out! The boat was very nice with good option to sit in air conditioned lower deck, shaded middle deck or a sun deck at the top. Seeing turtle island was interesting but it is from a distance you don’t go ashore. We got very lucky with a turtle coming for air right next to the boat so had amazing views of a beautiful creature! The boat won’t go hunting for turtles so to not stress them which is lovely as others crowd them and it’s not fair! Swim stops were lovely too!

Great trip - achieved what it advertised to do. Two thirty minute swim stops were welcomed for cooling off. Good refreshments and toilet facilities onboard and clear guides covering multiple languages. A condensed half day tour leaving time to do other things on the same day. Don’t necessarily expect to see a turtle though!

To begin with the tour guide was horse and couldn't understand her,everyone on the trip was bored some falling asleep didn't see any turtles but you can't help that she also more like a school treacher then a tour guide clearly not enjoying her job, at one point telling people off to be quiet, we went in circles for hours trying to find turtles, her name was chris ,I feel it was a total waste of money and will not book tours with tui again

Veel idyllischer voorgesteld door tui hostess dan het in werkelijkheid was. Heel commercieel gevonden, veel mensen op elkaar op een stinkende boot ( door uitlaatgassen ) Er kwamen op een gegeven moment 4 boten die elkaar insloten om zogezegd de schildpadden of schildpad in te sluiten, alle mensen maar kijken en er was niets te zien. Spijtig.....

The driver couldn’t tell us anything about the trip when we boarded at pick up, they should inform guests of timings and what to expect. At arrival at the port little information again was provided. The boat we boarded was far too big to go see turtles on, like a mini ferry. We saw one turtle and from afar swim stops were not in great locations but assume this is because of the size of boat we were on. Would not recommend to anyone

It was a good trip much longer than expected. Sadly we didn’t see any turtles while out at sea but fortunately one was in the harbour before we left. I was disappointed that there are o restrictions on people hiring boats and the speed they can go while out in the turtle area. We were told the boat we were on had to travel at 2 knots this was a good speed but there were hire boats going so fast that is probably why we didn’t see them. I know nature has a part to play too.

Transfers from hotel & back on time but a little too long out to catch the boat. Boats trip very pleasant and commentary good. Talk on turtles interesting and first swimming stop was much needed. Could have missed the second swimming stop. We were told by the rep at the hotel we would have some free time to walk around the shops at the end of the cruise but this did not happen as coaches were waiting to take us back to the hotel at the harbour

It was a fabulous trip, the guide was informative and the crew were professional. It was lovely to have the swim stops and have the chance to cool off. There were turtles but unfortunately we didn’t see them as other boats (private and charters) were crowding around them causing the turtles stress. As soon as a turtle popped up the other boats would rush over which was sad to see. We had 2 volunteers on the boat from the turtle project who explained all about the turtles which was interesting.

We have made a complaint as we saw human waste coming from our boat when we were looking for turtles. No other boats around us and saw it coming from our boat. It was completely disgusting! The same thing happened on our previous cruise to the Zante cruise with Blue Caves, Smuggler’s Cove, Greek dancing and optional transfers. Completely ruined the trip which had been very scenic. Clearly didn’t do the 2 swim stops. On another note boat very slippery after people had been for a swim.

Wat jammer was dat er geen tijd was voor de bootreis om het stadje te bezoeken. Dat werd wel benoemd in de tekst excursie. Het kopen van bijv souvenirs is niet doorgegaan.

Tui staff stayed downstairs on boat, didn't interact with customers only gave facts over speaker, which you struggle to hear them. Great boat trip, swimming spots good. Fab views for photos. Didn't get to see the turtles (apparently you can do 10 trips and not see them told by hotel staff when got back - easier to see on beach locals feed them) Trip was still worth going on, just a shame not to see turtles.

Hatten auf Deutsch gebucht und Holländisch bekommen … absolute Massenabfertigung. Hatten erhofft zu Beginn des Urlaubs ein paar hilfreiche Informationen zu bekommen aber die waren unverständlich auf Holländisch… lieber vor Ort ( kleinere Boote) von einheimische Anbietern suchen. Die waren günstiger und viel interessanter.

De omgeving van Zakynthos is prachtig, maar helaas hebben we tijdens deze tour geen schildpadden gezien, terwijl dat voor ons juist het hoofddoel was. Natuurlijk blijft het de natuur en is er geen garantie, maar we hadden graag vooraf duidelijker gehoord hoe groot de kans is en in welke periode je deze tour het beste kunt doen. Achteraf hadden we liever een andere tour gekozen om meer van Zakynthos te zien. Voor ons helaas geen aanrader.

The main objective of this trip was not achieved and we were told that unfortunately it’s a wild animal and cannot be predicted but you could see 2 boats leaning towards each other because it was a turtle between them.Crew staff sitting at the table next to you smoking at the back of the boat.Our friends paid half with a different operator and actually got to see this turtle.Also,we lost a lot of time at swim stops,second one the current was so strong that nobody was swimming for the last 20min

Sjåfør 15 min forsinket uten beskjed.. mye informasjon over høyttaler på båten men umulig å høre hva som blir sagt. Båten er stor og veldig romslig og fin, men for stor for å se skilpadder. De skremmer de bort. Vi så ingenting. Kun bading fra båt, ikke til en strand. God café på båten, hyggelige personale

Inför avfärd dålig information om när båten skulle avgå vilket gjorde att vi blev sittande i över 30 min på båten innan den avgick. Om vi vetat det hade vi hunnit äta lunch i byn först. Mackorna som gick att köpa - för mycket bröd. Dåligt ljud i högtalarna på båten vilket gjorde att man inte hörde guiden. Onödigt lång utflykt. Hade gått att korta ner en timma men ändå hinna se samma. Det var en bra dag i det hela. Kul att få se ön från vattnet. .

Would not class as turtle watch as none was seen. This is more an island cruise. Was boring and promise of seeing turtles was disappointing - even people spoke to on previous week or different days still didn’t see any turtles. If this is what you book for - save your money

We had two swim stops that were terrible. We went past several beautiful places to swim and stopped at one place that had what can only be described as vomit looking substance floating around. In my opinion the boat is too large. Went around in circles for 15 minutes trying to see the turtles and very frustrating that boats in distance could obviously see the turtles but we were too far out We also were dropped off somewhere different to where we boarded the boat which took longer to get back

Helaas sprong er ineens een kat op de loopbrug, schoof eraf, hing met z’n voorpootjes boven de zee te bengelen en viel in de zee. Waarop mijn vrouw gilde stop de boot, stop de boot. 1reisbegeleidster liep naar de kapitein. De kapitein weigerde de boot stil te leggen. De kat achterlatend in de zee. Er zou een melding gemaakt worden naar andere boten. Kort erna zei iemand van de crew de kat is gered. Het was niet de kat. Hierbij veel trauma opgelopen. De veiligheid is niet goed bij deze kapitein.

I would not recommend this tour. Save your money and go for a more private tour. We also did not see any turtles, but that makes sense if you are on a big boat with 200 people. Even if you would see a turtle it will be from a far with 200 people. Best to see a turtle in a more natural way. The guide was very nice and the food on the boat was pretty good.

Geen reisgids tijdens busreis naar haven. Geen bezoek aan andere eiland. Geen rustpauze, behalve 2 zwemstops. Niets gezien van schildpaddeneiland. Boottocht op zich wel aardig.
