Mooie dagtocht naar Santo Domingo, tijdbom iets meer over de stadiën de cultuur te leren. Met een luxe touringbus opgehaald en vanwege de kleine groep (10) reden we met deze bus naar de hoofdstad, zo 2,5 uur rijden. Onderweg onze gids ‘Johnny’ opgepikt, begon direct met vertellen en wist veel van de geschiedenis. Uitstapje naar de oude stad was goed, bezoek souvenierswinkel met de blauwe stenen, lunchbuffet prima! Terug via verkoopwinkel chocolade. Prima dag gehad!

Roberto the tour guide was fantastic! You can tell he puts his heart and soul into the tour and sharing the history of his country. You got a keeper in Roberto for sure. I really enjoyed tour and seeing the beautiful church and getting to walk around the city of Santa Domingo. The driver was excellent as well - he got safely to and from the resorts. I look forward to coming back to Punta Cana in the future and taking another tour with Tui. Keep up the good work.

Wir haben den Guide oder Tour gebucht in Deutsch. KEIN deutsch nur Englisch. Die Tour extra in Deutsch gebucht. Meine Frau und ich können kein Englisch. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht.

Roberto war ein exzellenter Reiseführer, der sehr viel erzählt hatt über Land und Leute. Er kümmeete sich auch supwe um die ganze Gruppe. Die Rundfahrt durch die Neustadt von Sanfo Domingo war sehr interessant. Das Essen im Restaurant war leider teulweise kalt, den 4-D Film fanden wir auch ein wenig enttäuschend. Die Alrstadt von Santo Domingo ist ein absolutes Highlight, und nicht ohne Grund Unesco Weltkulturerbe.

First off please give Roberto a raise or CEO job. He was absolutely amazing. He was entertaining, caring, and connected with us. Unfortunately me and my husband Robert were the last one one the bus going back but he waited and found us. This was the best tour we have had in awhile. We cruise a lot and do a lot of excursions so we have something to compare. Benito was great to get us around. Alex was very helpful.

Tour guide was amazing - can’t remember his actual name, he kept calling himself Obama. Very knowledgable about the history of the country; we found it fascinating. Did not like the end of the trip being forced into a ‘so-called’ Dominican chocolate factory. Spoilt the trip and was unnecessary. Just trying to make people spend money.

Excursion normalement en français… mais arrivé dans le car le guide nous dit « en anglais » qu’il y a beaucoup de nationalité différente et qu’il n’aura pas le temps de tout traduire pour tout le monde. Nous avons eu quelques explications mais on serait incapable d’expliquer l’histoire de Saint Domingue. Bien dommage vu que c’est le but de l’excursion et surtout vu le tarif.

Super Guide. Viel Infos zu Santo Domingo (wenn man Englisch versteht). Alles super pünktlich. Mittagessen war auch gut. Es wäre schön gewesen, etwas mehr Freizeit zum Spazieren zu haben. Die 30 Minuten waren da definitiv zu wenig.

Deze excursie is een hele goede manier om de hoofdstad Santo Domingo te leren kennen. De afwisseling is groot met focus op het koloniale deel. Tussen de middag een prima lunch geserveerd. De gids Victor is zeker enthousiast en heeft een uitgebreide kennis. Maar te veel praten (over zichzelf), kan ook overdreven worden. Minpunt is het bezoek aan een giftshop in de stad en een chocolade winkel aan het eind. Bezoek duurde onevenredig lang en is te commercieel. Desondanks een aanrader.

De reisgids was uitstekend, maar het zou beter zijn als hij twee hoofdtalen zou spreken in plaats van vier verschillende talen door elkaar te vertalen. Helaas hebben we ook niet de beloofde vrije tijd gekregen zoals beschreven in de beschrijving. We hadden slechts 30 minuten, net genoeg om iets te drinken op een terras. Dus we vinden het jammer dat we zoveel geld betaald hebben

Der arme guide hat 33 Personen in 4 Sprachen an Board. Verständlich das man annähernd gar nix über santo Domingo erfährt wenn man nicht ein bisschen der anderen Sprachen auch versteht. Das Personal war sehr sehr bemüht allerdings hat der guide nur 25% der Zeit in der jeweiligen Sprache. Das macht die Tour langweilig für die nicht sprachbewanderten...

Our guide ‘Obama’ was excellent. Very funny. Full of history. Looked after us so well. Driver Brian very nice person and safe driver. Restaurant was amazing. Gorgeous food. And staff. Such an interesting city and beautuful colonial old town.

We enjoyed the guides wealth of information and delivery. Jonny was superb at providing detail about his country and its history. We enjoyed the train journey very much but it could be improved by ensuring it was in English as we don’t speak German. We enjoyed the 4D cinema experience and loved the church and the cathedral. If there had been a gift shop we would’ve purchased items as we would love to have known more. We enjoyed the chocolate stop and the man was very charming his delivery.

Die Tour war begleitet von sehr lange Wartezeiten. Abholung 7:10 am Hotel. Zurück im Hotel 19:30 Uhr. Sehenswürdigkeiten nur 4 gesehen. Der Rest war eine reine Verkaufsveranstaltung. Mittagessen war na ja. Dafür wurde von der Bedienung direkt Trinkgeld gefordert. In Santo Domingo fing es an heftig zu regnen. Wir standen vor einem Geschäft. Der Tour Guide sagte wir treffen uns in einer Stunde wieder und war weg. Insgesamt war die Tour sehr langweilig und leider für den Preis überteuert

Our Santo Domingo full‑day tour was fantastic! Obama was an amazing guide who kept the day fun, smooth, and full of great info, with plenty of breaks to enjoy the sights. Lunch was delicious, the Colonial Zone was incredible to explore, and the cocoa factory visit was such a cool bonus. Roberto was a super safe, reliable driver. An exciting and memorable experience from start to finish!

We had this trip recomended by the rep..Very dissapointed that we was not advised that its 9 hrs or more on a coach and 4 hrs enjoying the actual experience. We would not have booked if told the majority of the day is spent on the coach. It was a waste of a day and feel we were not given the right info by the rep. This should be clear from the start to make the right choice.

Abel the Tui rep helped us to pick the correct excursions for us both, he was incredibly patient and very knowledgeable. The excursion itself was excellent our tour guide Johnny spoke very good English and also fluent German. He was very knowledgeable too. We both really enjoyed this trip.

A great tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and didn't rush us round. We were kept informed all through the day The places we visited were gorgeous and varied and well worth the visit and the lunch provided was very nice. I fully recommend, even if it is a long day.

I’m not sure if it’s because of the thunder storm we got caught in at the very start of the trip, but I just felt like I didn’t really get value for money and things we were told we’d get didn’t happen. While Obama the guide was very knowledgeable, I did feel he went off on a tangent about things sometimes unnecessarily. I thought we would have seen more highlights of Santo Domingo up close which unfortunately did not happen. A little disappointed really.

Die Santo-Domingo-City-Tour war für uns leider enttäuschend. Bei der Buchung wurde uns von der TUI-Reiseleiterin zugesichert, dass die Tour auf Deutsch geführt wird. Tatsächlich bestand die Gruppe jedoch überwiegend aus englischsprachigen Gästen, und wir waren die einzigen bzw. nur zwei deutschsprachigen Teilnehmer. Die meisten Informationen wurden fast ausschließlich auf Englisch vermittelt.Insgesamt wurden die Informationen zur Stadt, ihrer Geschichte und Kultur eher oberflächlich vermittelt.

Een dagtrip naar Santo Domingo was voor mij precies genoeg om een indruk te krijgen van de stad. De dag begon vroeg met een krap busje vanaf het hotel, maar gelukkig stapten we daarna over in een luxe touringcar. Gids Obama maakte de excursie echt bijzonder: enorm ervaren, gepassioneerd en vol kennis die hij enthousiast deelt. We hebben veel gezien en sloten de dag af met een korte stop bij een chocoladefabriek. Intensieve dagtrip, maar absoluut de moeite waard!

Unfortunately this whole trip was a farce from minute 1 to the end almost 14 hours later. Advertised as about 8/9 hours. Tour guide Obama was rude and clearly weary. Didn't tell anyone the bus had moved after first stop then lied about it later. As well as rude comments about people going to other countries. Tour was not like advertised. Food was garbage. More interested in making sure we visited his friends shop and then chocolate house. Saw basically nothing. Needs a complete overhaul

Obama really knows his stuff! Super friendly knowledgeable and very well organised made sure we all had water ample toilet breaks and guided us through the city in shaded areas to avoid the beating sun! Obama is the best guide we have ever had a credit to tui and the job he does!

Enjoyed the city tour apart from the visit to the overpriced gift shop. The trip home from a long and tiring day was completely spoiled by an unexpected detour to an overpriced chocolate factory which didn’t sit well with most people who just wanted back to their hotel's. We transferred to a mini bus where the bus driver started to sing along with his music and if I didn’t know better was high as a kite! After smelling cannabis on 2 occasions confirmed it for us. We arrived back around 7pm.

Unser Tourguide Obama war einfach wirklich top. Er erklärte die Geschichte der Dom Rep nicht nur auf Englisch sondern auch auf deutsch. Sehr ins Detail und sehr tiefgründig. Zudem hat er sich auch eine individuelle Route überlegt die Abseits von den ganzen Massenanbietern funktioniert. Einzige Manko war das Essen. Es war gut, aber wie auch bei anderen Touren muss es den Geschmack treffen.

It was clear that the morning part of the itinerary did not go as planned and we felt that the guide was not honest and transparent about this with the group. We had a small child with us and were almost the last off the bus by which point the guide was at least 400 metres infront of us and almost out of sight. In the afternoon we were taken to a shop selling mostly cheap souvenirs and this took up nearly an hour which was time completely wasted

Unser Tourguide war der Hammer. Sehr unterhaltsam hat er die Tour gestaltet. Es war sehr lustig und informativ!

Der Guide war krank und der versprochene Audioguide war er selbst, so dass die stadtführung nur zur Hälfte durchgeführt wurde. Es lang in seinem Ermessen, uns an bestimmte Stellen zu führen, so war sein eigener Wortlaut. Der Busfahrer war super.

Meine Frau ist einen Tag vorher krank geworden. Obwohl wir nachweislich innerhalb der Stornofrist von einem Tag storniert haben, bestreitet TUI dies und verweigert die Erstattung. Nie wieder Ausflüge mit TUI!

Trop d’arrêts ramassages et changements de véhicule. 3 heures d’acheminement pour 1 h30 de trajet annoncé par le correspondant TUI. Impossible de bien admirer et de faire des photos depuis le bus touristique. 2 arrêts dans des boutiques de souvenirs !? Pas d’écrits dans le programme !! C’est une perte de temps. Alcazard de Colon pas visité. Une visite approfondie des monuments aurait été plus judicieuse avec une dégustation de café par exemple. Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que l’on en retire !

Une excursion plutôt onéreuse comparée à d’autres excursions dans d’autres pays.. Le trajet entre l’hôtel BAYAHIBE et SANTO DOMINGO était très long. Les attractions se sont enchaînées correctement, mais des dysfonctionnements sur les magnétos pour la découverte de la Cathédrale. Peu de magasins vraiment intéressants et pratiquant des prix élevés. Le déjeuner était par contre très bon, malgré que l’on était un peu serré à table. Bilan, cher, fatiguant, une ville qui reste intéressante à découvrir

Santa Domingo ist eine Interessante Stadt und sehr sehenswert, deshalb haben wir eine Stadtrundfahrt mit einem deutschsprachigen Guide gebucht. Im Bus wurde vom Guide erstmal abgefragt wieviel englisch- und wieviel deutschsprachige Teilnehmer an Bord sind. Die überwiegende Zahl war englischsprachig, was den Reiseleiter anscheinend veranlasste überwiegend Englisch zu sprechen. Er erzählte die Geschichte der Insel erst in Englisch ca eine halbe Stunde lang, in Deutsch waren es 10 Minuten
