Wat is er leuker dan een avondje uit in een van de witgekalkte stadjes van Samos. Tijdens deze excursie mag je doen waar je zin in hebt, of je nu smult van een heerlijk vismaal bij de haven, een drankje doet bij zonsondergang of souvenirs voor thuis shopt. Afhankelijk van waar je verblijft, ga je naar Pythagorion of Kokkari.Tijdens een avond in Pythagorion bezoek je de oude haven waar je een keur aan levendige tavernes vindt om de gegrilde vangst van de dag te proeven. Genoeg gegeten? Volg dan het geluid naar een van de bouzouki bars of flaneer een rondje langs de waterkant.Een andere optie is het vissersdorp Kokkari, waar een relaxte avond op het menu staat. Er zijn verschillende visrestaurants met uitzicht op het water, perfect voor het zien van de zonsondergang. Daarna een ijskoud drankje in een van de bars. Rijden hoeft niet, want je vervoer van en naar het hotel is al helemaal geregeld.

Lovely evening spent in a pretty village . Good driver. Some tourists were unaware that the bus was not going to Pythagoreio. Fortunately the driver had noticed the other bus to Pythagerio was coming and as we were leaving. It was night time when we returned and very dark. It would have helpful if the driver announced the name of the hotel as this was an unguided tour. and I have no sense of directio!

The tour was fine and the village is lovely but there’s way too much time spent on the coach picking up other guests on the way and also on return. We were there for about 3 hours and 45 minutes but spent 2 and a half hours on in total on the coach. When you sell a tour you must tell people how long they are going to spend picking up other guests so that they can decide if it’s a good use of time. If we had known that we would spend that amount of time on a coach we would have gotten a taxi

Left hotel at 17.00 and arrived at 17 45, coach then went on with other passengers to another village. Plenty of bars and restaurants of all price ranges. Enough shops for gift buying . Collected at 23.00 and journey back to hotel took about 40 mins. As trip earlier no guide or Tui staff

Lovely village to visit, ample bars and restaurants many looking onto the sea. .Trip took 75 mins each way from hotel getting back to hotel at 23.45 after leaving at 17.00

The bus used seemed to be very old, groaning and creaking at every turn with mechanical engine noises. How roadworthy are the buses? This bus was below standard in my opinion and was the same bus thst transported us from the airport. I hope it's a different bus going back. It would have been nice to hace had some background about the town from someone before getting off the bus.

Great evening. Coach was a little late on picking us up from our agreed location. Initially thought they weren’t coming, but then remembered we were on Greek time - relaxed ??. Lovely journey through Samos. No TUI rep to meet us and wasn’t expected as it was a transport only trip, but there was another rep who told us best things to see and about return coach details. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

It was a good way to spend some time in another part of the island. Due to number of stops though it did take quite a long time to get there, and I feel 4 hours was possibly too long at the resort itself. I personally feel three hours would have been ideal.

Pickup was on time. A clean comfortable coach. Good enough time spent in Pythagorio for shopping and dining. The only problem we had was that there were 2 coaches at the pickup point for the return journey. Both of them had a sign in the window saying 'Evening Tour'; but only one was returning to our hotel. We found that we were on the wrong coach when the driver made an announcement that it was dropping people off in a different area of the island. Fortunately the other coach had not departed.

It was a good chance to explore another resort on the Island. We had 4 hours to enjoy the evening. As the bus service on the Island is not frequent it is the best way to enjoy the town.
