On this unique day tour, see two UNESCO World Heritage sites in one day only! Rila Monastery is the largest, the most beautiful and the most important Bulgarian monastery, while Boyana Church is famous for its proto-Renaissance wall paintings from 13th-century.The monastery is situated among the rocky peaks and ancient pine forests of the Rila Mountains. Boyana Church is situated just outside of Sofia, so these two sights can be perfectly combined in one trip.Discover Bulgaria's biggest monastic complex on your own, along with its museum and accompanying shops. You can take the opportunity to have lunch at one of the nearby restaurants before heading to Boyana Church.
