You step back in time here, see cheesemaking, admire the old manor house with original furniture and enjoy the best views of the Menorcan countryside.”Your rural Menorca adventure kicks off with a trip to the stately manor of Binissues. You'll see how the island's trademark mahonés cheese is made – and taste it for yourself – then wander the manicured gardens or say hello to the host of farm animals. Inside, there's a large collection of insects, which the kids will love. Afterwards, there's a visit to the RIA factory to see how Menorcan avarca sandals are made from scratch too, with time to browse the shop.Next, you'll head to the postcard‑worthy north‑coast village of Fornells for a guided visit and free time to grab lunch if you wish. Then, it's onto Cala Galdana bay, where the views make for perfect photo opportunities. Finally, you'll have the best seats in the house at Son Martorellet, a renowned horse stable, to watch as horses from the island's endemic Menorquin breed are trained by local trainers and riders.

This trip was not published on your list of trips so I thought I’d booked for The Menorca Discovery tour and was a bit taken aback to find a coach and not a land rover at the pick up point. I had thought we would be going to a local cheese factory too. Having said that the tour was good and enjoyable but not what I had thought I’d booked for.

After having a serious accident involving a rented mobility scooter and being hospitalized over 3 days my husbandreturned to Appartments at TALAYOT Cala n Forcat for bed rest before returning to UK on 26th September Had to be cared for by me (wife) as injured right side including head injury damaged Shoulder and broken rib. Reported this to Hotel and Rep. Althoughsynpathic no help at all offered or given,no phone enquiries made or viisits. Abandonedby Tui. I am 81 my husband 82 . Lost holiday.

The guide was excellent. The cheese tasting was interesting but presentation was a bit uninspired. We had torrential rain at Fornelles but were able to wait in the coach until it passed. Would have liked to have seen more of a demonstration of leather craft at the sandal shop. Tour was very informative about Menorca and its people and history.

We enjoyed the cheese making demonstration and tastings, the historic house and the tour of the Ria shoe factory. The trip to Fornells and surrounding area was lovely. Nicola the tour guide also took us to the stables of the dancing horses. It was nice to see the horses and see one demonstrating. Sadly the location was quite tired and there were no facilities for refreshments which was understandable when we were told the venue was for sale.

The venues visited were ideal and perfectly timed. The tour guide was impressive, and took the time to explain in great detail the places visited. Thank you Nicola. The only downside was we could have had more time seeing the black horses and a refreshment stop. To actually touch the horses would have been amazing!

Lovely tour to see a bit more of the island other than just the beach resorts unlike a lot of tours it didn’t feel rushed had plenty of time to browse and get something to eat. Guide was English so easy to understand and very informative, my only complaint would be the pointless stop to visit a shoe shop!! Maybe seeing how they make menorcan scandals would have been more interesting, but it’s only 20mins out of the whole tour so relax in the sun if your not interested ??

Thoroughly enjoyed Binissues Manor and especially enjoyed Monte Toro & the Shrine of La Mare de Deu del Toro. Fornells was a beautiful location for lunch. Although not to my personal taste I believe the short visit and performance at Son Martorellet was very well received by others.

Guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and informative. Also a cheeky fun character. Top of mountain and tasting very good. Horses - could have had more showtime. The dressage was very good but I was expecting to see more. Ticket sales indicated we would see dancing horse show but learned that the show was an evening event.

I really enjoyed the visits to Binisseu, El Toro and Fornells but personally found the trip to the Jaime Mascaro shoe shop unnecessary and didn't enjoy the equine display. I would have preferred more time in Fornells.. Nicola, the TUI guide, was excellent. She delivered a lot of information in a well-paced, clear and concise way which enhanced each individual visit and made for a very interesting day out

Visits to shoe factory was a waste of time . Menorcan horse dressage was disappointing, only one horse & rider, no music & a pantomime at the end which went on for far too long. Visit to the manor was interesting as was the visit to the mountain. We would have liked more time, say an hour more, in Fornells. By the time we had had lunch it was time to walk back to the bus having had no time to explore.

Overall an interesting trip. However we were very disappointed with the trip to the shoe factory which turned out only to be a very expensive shop. All but one couple on the bus commented on how much of a waste of time it was. Had it actually been a visit to a factory which demonstrated how the sandals are produced using recycled tyres that would have been far more interesting. We enjoyed Fornells and would have preferred to spend more time there or visit another attraction or point of interest.
