If you fancy a full day of shopping, then a day in Marmaris will be just your thing. Big and bustling, its streets and bazaars make it great for bargain-hunting. And once you're here, you'll have several hours to blow a hole in your kitty.Start at a Marmaris Gold Centre, and you can eye up its trays of shiny gold and silver or order a piece to be specially made for you. When the expert jewellers showcase their pieces, don't forget to haggle for the best deal. And if shopping's not on your agenda, just give them a polite no. Then, it's off to a Turkish delight factory where you can add to your shopping haul with a box or two of these sugar-dusted treats.Then, it's off to a textile store where you'll find all the classic 'genuine fakes' that Turkey's famous for. It's the perfect place to practice your barting skills. And if that wasn't enough, we'll then drop you in Marmaris city centre where you'll have a couple of hours to explore.

Wie bereits mitgeteilt wurden wir erst einen Abend vor dem Ausflug darüber informiert, dass wir der englischsprachigen Gruppe zugeteilt wurde. Wir wurden nicht vor die Wahl gestellt, ob wir dies auch wollen oder lieber den Ausflug stornieren! Das ist nicht korrekt: ich spreche gar kein Englisch und mein Mann ein wenig. Die Reiseleiterin hat sich zwar sehr bemüht verstanden habe ich aber so gut wie gar nichts. Der Ausflug kostete 52 Euro. Die hätte ich gerne wieder.

Terrible experience. The driver and guide were very kind and helpful but the overall experience of the tour is terrible. From start to end, it is just an experience to milk tourists out of their money. The first stop was a gold store which was of no one interest. Then the "bazaar textile" was just a bunch of stored selling fake merchandise with harassing sellers. There were was nothing to see in the bazaar it was all dupes and aggressive sellers. Waste of time.

The staff, trip too and from Marmaris were informative and enjoyable. The actual shopping experience was something we regret. The Gold shop was, unless you were prepared to make expenditures not usual in such a time scale, a waste of time. The clothing shop we were directed too and based around was without doubt the centre of Genuine Fakes, however the prices are were higher than expected for Fakes, non the less the staff were polite and efficient.

What I enjoyed: The scenery along the way to Marmaris was beautiful and the overall trip was well-organized in terms of timing. The guide spoke good English and was friendly throughout. What I didn’t like as much: The shopping experience felt a bit rushed and heavily focused on certain stores, which seemed more like arranged stops than free exploration. It would have been nicer to have more time and freedom to explore local shops and the market independently.

We really did not enjoy this day. First of all we were taken to the gold center for 45 minutes which we were not interested in buying gold. The we were hoping the grand bazaar would have good turkish crafts, instead it is just cheap fake clothing. We were quite shocked to be taken to Paradise clothing that sells fake goods and that Tui includes this as part of the tour and endorses it. The worst bit was the ‘lukum’ factory with creepiest, most inappropriate man whi did lots of sexual jokes.

Shopping trip overall was nice, terrific guide, my only criticism is that we were not made aware we were being taken to a very expensive jewellery and watch shop, although you don’t have to buy the Turkish really go out of their way to sell so they really put the pressure on, shopping in Marmaris was only 3 hours to look around yourself before you get taken to a Turkish delight factory, again not told about this before you book, your only told about Marmaris shopping trip so check first

Fragen Sie gerne nach, ob Adu (Fremdenführer) diesen Ausflug begleitet. Er hat uns als professioneller Fremdenführer sehr gut auf dem Weg nach Marmaris unterhalten und einiges interessantes über das Gebiet und die Kultur erzählt. Aber auch Tipps für die Türkei "must have seen" Sehenswürdigkeiten und Marmaris. Die Atmosphäre, wenn man die Stadt anfährt, ist atemberaubend. Wir haben diesen Ausflug mit einem Mietauto machen wollen, aber das erste Mal sollte es auf jeden Fall mit Adu sein.

Service in general was excellent, guide was very good The only ver small pint was it would be better to have slightly longer than 45minutes in the gold centre in order to have a better look round. That is just a personal opinion

Guide Adnan wie immer spitze… Marmaris ist auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert, insbesondere außerhalb des Basars. Den „Süßigkeiten-Mann“ mitsamt seinem Laden kann man sich sparen … eine Minute etwas zur Produktion von seinen Zuckerstückchen erzählt, Rest plumpe Verkaufsveranstaltung von Produkten, die er selbst nicht mal produziert (u.a. Honig und Hautcreme ).

Ich würde die Tour weniger als Shopping-Erlebnis bezeichnen, da das ziemlich unspektakulär ist. Besser wäre die Bezeicnung "Besichtigung der kleinen sehenswerten Altstadt und des Hafens" und den Schwerpunkt würde ich dann auch darauf liegen.

There wasn't enough time spent shopping in marmaris. Doing the visits beforehand was nice but we can't afford expensive jewellery so that was time wasted for us. Maybe next time we'll just get a taxi to Marmaris and do the shipping we planned to do

Ganz hervorragend war der Guide Mustafa. Extrem gute Ausführung zu Land und Leute in der Türkei. Etwas nervig war der Besuch in der Schmuckmanufaktur. Insgesamt aber empfehlenswert für Alle die günstig einen Tagesausflug nach Marmaris machen wollen

The holiday was phenomenal from start to finish. The staff were top class always willing to help where they could. The best honeymoon we could have asked for. Tui blue seno hotel is 5* by far one of the nicest and most relaxed hotels I have ever been to.

Viel besser, als wir erwartet haben. Wir dachten, dass wir lediglich in Marmaris abgesetzt werden, um dort zu shoppen... es kam jedoch ganz anders. Erstmal hatten wir einen sehr guten und lustigen Tourguide. Er hat uns während der Fahrt vieles über die Türkei und die Geschichte von Marmaris erzählt. Als wir dann in Marmaris angekommen sind, haben wir zunächst ein Goldzentrum besucht und im Anschluss daran eine kleine traditionelle "turkish delight" Produktion. Erst danach ging es zum shoppen

Guide was great and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the visit to the Turkish delight factory and shopping in Marmaris where there is such great choice and a chance to grab a bargain. Only downside is the visit to the gold centre.

The gold centre is the only part that let's the trip down but it is near a very good supermarket the Turkish delight factory is brilliant and the guide is first class also the driver is very helpful very good trip

Es war ein super Einkaufsausflug mit netten und freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Wir hatten die Tour ursprünglich extra auf deutsch gebucht, dies wurde kurzfristig geändert in Englisch. Das war für uns persönlich kein Problem, jedoch andere Mitreisende, die nicht gut Englisch verstehen konnten war dies sehr ärgerlich. Alles in allem war es aber ein gut geplanter Ausflug zum Shopping

Der Reiseführer war ausgezeichnet und allein die Sache wert. Viel Neues und interessantes dazu gelernt ABER der bazaar war enttäuschend und nicht mit dem Shopping Erlebnis in Dalayan zu vergleichen
