Ontsnap aan Cancún tijdens deze dagtour naar Chichen Itza, een vanaf de belangrijkste archeologische vindplaatsen op het schiereiland Yucatán. De reis begint met een inleiding vanaf een professionele gids, die achtergrondinformatie geeft om je een beter inzicht te geven in deze historische site. Bij aankomst in Chichen Itza begin je aan een rondleiding door deze enorme precolumbiaanse stad, die tussen 600 en 1200 na Christus een belangrijke rol speelde in de Maya-beschaving.Na de verkenning vanaf Chichen Itza bereid je je voor op een verfrissende duik in een cenote - een natuurlijke put gevuld met kristalhelder water. Deze duik dient als energiebooster voordat je verder gaat met het avontuur vanaf de dag. Als je de archeologische site wilt betreden met mobiele apparatuur (GoPro, professionele camera, selfie stick en drones) moet je op last vanaf de overheid een toeslag vanaf 50 Mexicaanse pesos per apparaat betalen bij de kassa.
Mexicanen krijgen korting op de archeologische site belasting op vertoon vanaf hun ID op de dag vanaf de tour. De korting is niet vanaf toepassing zonder het officiële legitimatiebewijs.
Om veiligheidsredenen moet je een reddingsvest dragen tijdens het bezoek aan de cenote (de kosten zijn niet bij de prijs inbegrepen)

Tour guide BETO loved his job which made the trip amazing for customers by filling the minibus with humour and teaching us about the history of Chichen Itza. Very approachable and friendly. He sat families together on the minibus making it comfortable for the long journey.

Our guide was Arturo and driver Damien were fantastic, very knowledgeable and safe driving, agreed to drop us back at hotel on way back. Cenote was very small, we’ve visited better in Mexico. Lunch was not worth the extra 18.50 so if you can take a sandwich, A lot of market stalls at Chichen Itza which weren’t expected and when you’re trying to listen to guide distracting. Last stop at Valladolid unnecessary, only 30mins allowed and would rather get back earlier

We had a very knowledgeable tour guide in Omar & a competitive coach driver in Manuel the day trip packs in as much as possible..would have been nice to have had a little more time in Valladolid..the time spent at the other locations were just about right...only a small observation but still an enjoyable experience

For the price it’s a really good excursion, ramiro and Beto were our guides. We had to Uber to the hotel & back as the transport only picks from 2 places. The guide we’re sent was backwards, Chichén Itzá, chichikan cenote then Valladolid (20mins), then journey took a long time, we were collected at 06.05, they didn’t park right out the front & then dropped at 19.30, it’s a long day, life jackets & lockers were 100mxn each. That detail wasn’t told in the original listing. Tequila tasting was yum

Long journey but coach was comfortable and had a toilet. Cenote swim was fantastic and well organised. The tour around Chichen Itza was rushed I feel, impacted at the Cenote stop when we were subjected to a sales pitch to buy trinkets of Mayan culture when it was boiling hot.

Carmen was our tour guide and Marco, our driver. They both were fantastic in insuring we had the most wonderful time. The tour was so interesting with great information but not too overwhelming. Yes, the journey was long but so worth. It has made my experience in Mexico. Thank you Amigo tours.

Absolutely brilliant guide and team; knowledgeable and friendly, really enjoyed learning about the Mayans and the different sites. We were made to feel comfortable, safe and able to ask any questions if needed. The number of sites visited was perfect, allowed us to see a lot in a day without rushing; clear instructions provided by guide and the time at each site was just right. The experience also included a meal which was amazing and timed perfect. Everything about the experience was great.
