Qué esperar
El volcán activo más alto de Europa domina la vida cotidiana de Sicilia. En esta emocionante excursión, se subirá a un safari todoterreno 4x4 para explorar algunas de las zonas de más difícil acceso de la ladera norte del Etna. Carmelo, uno de nuestros guías locales expertos, explica: "Los 4x4 recorren rutas planificadas en función de la salud y la seguridad del entorno local". Visitarás los cráteres de Sartorius, así como campos de lava y cuevas, y también entrarás en una bodega para hacer una cata.Comenzará su aventura con una exploración en 4x4 por carretera y fuera de ella, visitando el impresionante frente de lava de 2002, testimonio del poder del volcán. A continuación, atravesará el denso bosque para llegar a los cráteres de Sartorius, formados durante el episodio eruptivo del Etna en 1865, que remodeló las laderas septentrionales del volcán. Por el camino, aprenderá cómo es la vida junto a un volcán activo, mientras observa la resistente vegetación que prospera en ese entorno.Tendrá tiempo para pasear por un paisaje único. A 1.750 metros sobre el nivel del mar, disfrutará de unas magníficas vistas del extenso entorno volcánico. Por último, daremos un pequeño paseo para visitar una cueva de lava y terminaremos la excursión en una bodega local. También se incluye un almuerzo ligero con un aperitivo rústico típico. Una forma estupenda de terminar un día de exploración.

El almuerzo está incluido con aperitivo rústico: embutidos nebrodi, quesos locales, conservas vegetales en aceite, aceitunas Nocellara dell'Etna, aceite de oliva orgánico del Etna de nuestra propia producción, y pan casero de estilo rural + plato de pasta del día del Chef.

Excursion à faire absolument,très intéressante et bien organisée en petit groupe Notre guide était très sympathique,expliquait d'une manière très intéressante et clairement l'histoire des cratères et éruptions de Etna Nous avons pu voir des endroits peu fréquentés et faire la petite randonnée au sommet d'un cratère inactif avec une vue magnifique Très ********** dégustation de vin avec plateau de produits produits sur place Le système de talkie-walkie pendant le trajet ne fonctionnait pas bien

Det står 2200 m men blev drygt 1700 är ok men rätta till det i formuläret. Man behövde inga varma kläder. Vinprovningen var suverän, väldigt trevligt bemötande, rikligt med tilltugg och väldigt gott, sammantaget väldigt bra.

Guide was very knowledgeable. The excursion was all day. We had some nibbles with the wine tasting but was not advised we could purchase lunch which would have been nice or offered with the tour - we would have paid more to have lunch .

Malgré le fait que cette excursion était prévue en anglais les 3 guides (3 jeeps) se sont exprimés en Italien sans aucunes difficultés et nous ont expliqué qu’il y avait très peu de franco italien qui font des excursions

We hadden er eigenlijk meer van verwacht. We hadden nog hoger willen gaan. De gids heeft alles goed uitgelegd in het Engels Op het wijndomein was het ook goed met de degustatie va´n de verschillende wijnen, olijven, zongedroogde tomaatjes, champignons, kaas, salami...niks ontbrak. Ook alles gezien van druif tot wijn

What a day. Our guide was totally amazing. She gave us so much history and information during the day and treated us to a brilliant off-road driving experience. Lunch, although not included, was in a lovely ski-lodge location and the food was excellent. To then go onto the vineyard for a tour and wine tasting was just the icing on the cake. The wines were all gorgeous and we were really well looked after with yet more food matched to the wines we chose to try. This is a truly fantastic day out!

The day was packed but not too onerous with things to see and do our guide was so friendly and very knowledgeable. The day was a great day out and worth money even if the weather was a bit cool and cloudy in late September you have to expect it. The disappointing piece is paying for lunch it was a lovely lunch but I am sure there could be a deal to be done for some nibbles at the lodge especially as there are tasters with the wine later - we had a fab time and ordered a case of wine for home!

Brilliant day out - 4x4 Mount Etna and Wine Tasting. The first part on 4x4 we had a quality vehicle and excellent driver who was very skilled on the challenging slopes, great guide who knew the flora and fauna, and geology. The track was challenging but safe with the driver. The wine tasting was beyond excellent but the key to the success was the really excellent speaker who explained all about the wines and cheese, without that you would be totally lost. Brilliant day out.

What an experience this was! Great day all round, the drivers of all vehicles were great and the guide who spoke over a walkie talkie as we drove was amazing. And to finish it off at the vineyard was amazing, what a beautiful place/setting that was. Highly recommend

Putting 6 people plus driver in a 4 by 4 is a bit cramped. 10 vehicles made it a big group, but staff were attentive on health and safety.

Punctual pick up. Driver called Mario very informative, polite and knowledgeable. The young female guide who gave us commentary over the radio was excellent , she was very courteous and respectful to all, very informative and on the walks very knowledgeable. The wine tasting was superb. The guide at the winery was informative and made the whole experience unmissable.

I enjoyed finding out about the history of Mount Etna and its last eruption in 2002. I was a little worried about doing the walk due to having a disability that effects my left leg but I was fine and able to complete it. The wine tasting experience was excellent and ordered wine to be shipped back home to enjoy and remind me of my holiday in Sicily.

Everything about the day was excellent. From being picked up by the 4 x 4 just outside the hotel to the incredibly knowledgeable guide Marcelo it was a very enjoyable experience. Our driver was Giovanni who was also very friendly and professional. The walk up to to the most accessible point was quite a hike but Marcelo always kept stopping to give us a breather. The wine tasting experience was also excellent and probably the most organised I have ever been on. All in all a first class excursion.

Visit to Mount Etna and the lava flows was interesting, enjoyable and educational. The wine tasting part of the excursion was disappointing, not too much forthcoming in the way of explaining the wines and what to look for if you are a novice. Venue could certainly do with some air conditioning. Hot and uncomfortable.

Our driver and guide were both very good. It was well organised but we were first pick up in Taormina and we then had to pick up more people in Giardini Naxos. There was a bit of hanging around which meant by the time we reached Mount Etna I needed toilet facilities but there were none and the guide said it would be about an hour before we would stop for refreshments. Despite this inconvenience it was a good excursion.
