Off-road adventures don't get more fun than this. On this evening tour, you'll buckle up for a thrilling ride through the Cretan mountains, taking in villages, landmarks and more. What's more, there'll be a traditional dinner at a local taverna waiting for you. Vaggelis, one of our local expert guides, says 'Lassithi Plateau was said to be the birthplace of Zeus, the king of the Greek gods. According to legend, his mother, Rhea, hid the newborn in a cave on the plateau to protect him from being devoured by his father. It's one of the best places in Crete to grab a bird's-eye view of the north'.It all starts the moment you hop aboard your 4x4 and head for the mountains. You'll stop by Aposelemis basin reservoir and ancient Roman aqueducts, before following the path to the village of Kastamonitsa. Here, you'll be greeted with a tipple of fiery raki. Vaggelis says, 'After the grape harvest, the leftover skins, seeds, and stems are fermented and then distilled to produce raki, a tradition that many Cretan families proudly maintain'.You'll continue along the Minoan path, taking in the wildlife and scenery while learning all about local mythology and history. You'll stop for a glass of sweet, sparkling wine and admire Lassithi Plateau, as well as its iconic views. And once you've built up an appetite, you'll head to a local taverna for a traditional Cretan-style dinner with unlimited wine. Finally, as night draws in, you'll head back down the mountain roads, taking in the moonlit coastline and the twinkling lights of towns and villages.

Magnifique excursion ! Je la recommande vivement. Magnifique à voir, belle expérience,guide très sympathique. J'aurais pu mettre 10/10 ou même 11/10 si j'avais eu un guide qui parle Français. La conseillère Tui m'a bien certifié que ce serait en Français. Sur les 3 excursions que j'ai faites par votre conseillère Tui, 1 seule était en Français. Pas très sympa. La Crête est une très belle île. Merci

Ein rundum gelungener Ausflug! Pünktliche Abholung, freundlicher Guide und eine sehr gute Organisation. Während der Fahrt gab es interessante Informationen über Kreta, begleitet von einer lockeren und humorvollen Atmosphäre. Der Sonnenuntergang mit Blick auf die beeindruckende Landschaft war ein echtes Highlight. Das anschließende Essen in einer gemütlichen Taverne war ebenfalls sehr lecker, dazu wurden Wein und Raki großzügig ausgeschenkt. Klare Empfehlung!

Cena zupełnie nieadekwatna do jakości. 80 euro za przejażdżkę po górach z kolacją to zdecydowanie zbyt wysoka cena mając na uwadze totalnie niezaangażowaną Panią przewodnik, która nic nie opowiadała na temat histori, życia czy obyczaji na Krecie. Kierowcy jeepów byli zdecydowanie bardziej przyjaźni niż przewodniczka.( Dla porównania w innym biurze zapłaciliśmy 47 euro za CAŁODNIOWĄ wycieczkę z wieloma przystankami, rejsem łodzią i obiadem w greckiej tawernie.) Nie polecam! Zmarnowany hajs :(

Das ist ein beeindruckender Ausflug. Wir waren begeistert. Nicht nur die abenteuerliche Fahrt zum Berg auch die vielen interessanten Infos, welche man vom Guide in lockerer Art erzählt bekommt. Die Aussicht war ein Traum, auch die Luft, die Ziegen und das typische Kreta zu erleben. Unvergesslich. Was auch toll war, nur in kleiner Runde. Ich kann und möchte es weiterempfehlen und TUI wie immer toll organisiert.

Rezydent na spotkaniu wprowadził nas w błąd co do terminu wycieczki - zamiast we wtorek jak to przekazała pani Karolina była w poniedziałek. W pośpiechu i na ostatni moment zdążyliśmy na zbiórkę. Pretensjonalny ton pani rezydent oraz ZERO słowa przepraszam za wprowadzenie w błąd - tylko stwierdzenie że na bilecie była data, który to bilet doszedł na maila, ale będąc na wakacjach nie sprawdziłam dokładnego terminu. Na przyszłość zwrócicie uwagę na to co rezydent przekazuje na spotkaniu…

Wij hadden helaas geen 4x4 maar een offroad busje. Vond mijn zoon heel erg jammer. Verder helaas geen zonsondergang gezien door laag hangende bewolking die ineens op kwam zetten. Zijn toen ook gedraait om een stukje lager te kijken maar helaas. We hebben voor de volle 100% genoten van onze gids Mike. Door het offroad rijden kon ik hem niet altijd goed verstaan. Als we ooit terug komen dan weer zeker deze tour.

Het was een ontzettend leuke trip, ondanks het Sahara zand bij de Sunset. We hadden een erg fijne reisleider/chauffeur. De eerste stop bij het verzonken dorp was prachtig, het winkeltje bij de 2de stop ook leuk en kneuterig, gelukkig was daar ook een toilet. En de uiteindelijke zonsondergang vanaf die hoogte ook mooi, de traktatie van vers fruit en champagne was een verrassing. Het diner overvloedig, en de sirtaki heel gezellig . Plus de verhalen verteld door de chauffeur. Gewoon doen die safari

Excellent, cheerful, entertaining and informative tour guide- Gregory. Exciting drive up into the mountains. The most exquisite sunset and mountains scenery. Meeting the goats was lovely. Seeing the vultures also amazing, and all followed by a superb meal, music, and dancing. Best day of the whole trip!

Von Anfang bis Ende eine wunderbare Tour. Der Guide war super. Sympathisch, hat wunderschöne Fotos gemacht. Das Bergdorf war sehenswert und die Snacks waren lecker. Der Stopp bei den Bergziegen echt lustig und natürlich der Sonnenuntergang, das Panorama, wunderschön. Auch das Essen war super lecker und im.Anschluss noch die Stimmung und der Tanz...alles in allem ein super gelungener Ausflug, den ich empfehlen kann.

Alles war schön.!!!!!! Aber ganz besonders möchte ich KOSTA erwähnen. Die ganze Zeit hat er uns sehr, sehr vieles über den Landstrich und ihre wunderschöne Insel erzählt.Auch der Humor ist nicht zu kurz gekommen. Und das Essen in der Taverne besonders gut. Hab schon einigen Gästen im Candia Maris gesagt, dass sie dieses Erlebnis sich nicht entgehenlassen und gleich buchen sollen.

Die Abholung vom Hotel war super unkompliziert. Über eine zeitliche Verschiebung von 1 h wurden wir rechtzeitig und auf mehreren Kanälen von TUI informiert. Unser Guide Vangelis (Swiss) war sehr freundlich, sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Man merkte, dass er für seinen Job brennt und wir hatten total viel Spaß mit ihm. Die Stopps waren interessant & lecker, mit Kartenzahlung kommt man im Delikatessenshop jedoch nicht weit. Das Abendessen sowie die Atmosphäre waren authentisch und familiär.

Super sympathischer Guide, sehr hilfsbereit mit tollen Ideen fürs Sunset-Shooting (danke Saki). Wahnsinns-Sonnenuntergang mit spektakulären Farben, zum genau richtigen Zeitpunkt auf dem Gipfel angekommen. Zum Abschluss in der Taverne ein echt leckeres kreatisches Abendessen mit toller Stimmung.

Eine der best geführten Tour die wir bisher jemals gemacht haben und deshalb sehr zu empfehlen. Der Guide hat uns von Anfang an mit seiner herzlichen Art auf einen unvergesslichen Ausflug mitgenommen. Er hat oft angehalten, um uns wild wachsende Kräuter zu zeigen und auch die letzten Feigen konnten wir noch kosten. Natürlich fuhren wir auf die Ebene Off Road. Seine Fotoideen haben uns begeistert. Den Ausflug haben wir mit einen guten Essen mit reichlich Wein und Raki beendet.????

Firstly I would like to point out that my scores are based solely on the trip, the company that ran the trip and their staff and not my experience with the TUI Rep based at the hotel I stayed at. Cristian (without an H) was a fantastic tour guide and was a font of knowledge. The views are spectacular!!!! The evening ended with a meal at a taverna and some local music and dancing. 5*

Das war ein tolles Erlebnis, die Autofahrt war aufregend da man die schmalen, unebenen Wege zum Berg hochfährt. Der Sonnenuntergang war trotz der Wolken wunderschön. Auch der Sekt und das Obst waren eine tolle Idee. Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Unser Fahrer Michaelis konnte gut deutsch und hat vieles erklärt.

Diese Tour ist eine absolute Empfehlung für einen Kreta Urlaub. Die Abholung, die Organisation und die Tour an sich waren top. Die Fahrt durch die Berge ist an sich schon ein Erlebnis. Aber der Sonnenuntergang ist natürlich traumhaft schön. Abgerundet wird dieses Erlebnis natürlich von Vangelis, ein sehr unterhaltsamer Guide der viel von Kreta erzählt, ohne das es zuviel wurde. Das gemeinsame Essen war ebenfalls absolut top und reichhaltig.

Excursion amusante en "off-road" sur des sentiers ; notre guide, Adeline, a fait un travail formidable d'animation et nous as fournis de nombreuses explications et anecdotes sur l'île et sa culture. La soirée c'est conclue par le diner dans le village de Ano Karouzana - rien a redire sur la qualité de la nourriture. Si vous réservez l'excursion en Français, n'hésitez pas à demander la même guide, vous ne le regretterez pas !

We hadden een gezellige groep en een top gids. Stavros spreekt bijzonder goed Nederlands en kletst de avond heel vermakelijk, maar ook informatief aan elkaar. Ondanks dat je de andere jeeps her en der treft en het diner met alle deelnemers nuttigt, voelt het alsof je met je eigen kleine clubje op pad bent. Mooie dingen gezien, heerlijk gegeten. Aanrader! En ik had, gewoon stom, mijn zonnebril in het restaurant laten liggen, volgende dag lag ie bij de receptie van ons hotel, klasse service.

Our driver Daryl was excellent , knew his stuff and, good English Humour . He was very inclusive of the 2 different nationality parties . Didn’t like is a strong word but worth noting to be advised only 2 toilet stops and the 1st one is about 2-3 hours in to tour .

Man muss ein bisschen Mut mitbringen und darf keine Höhenangst haben, denn die Fahrt durch die Berge ist schon "interessant" - auf unbefestigten Straßen, dicht am Rand - doch dafür mit spektakulären Eindrücken. Es ist keine Verkaufstour, das Essen schmeckte und war hausgemacht, der Sekt zum Sonnenuntergang war lecker und die Busfahrer waren toll. Danke für dieses tolle Erlebnis.

Po za atrakcja, która pokazuje Krete od jej górskiej strony, co jest fajnym dopelnieniem turystyki plazowej, to klimat dopelniaja kierowcy. My jechalismy z Vangelis em, ale widzialem, ze kazdy ma fajne podejscie do ludzi. Nie robia tego z przymusu. Tworza fajna atmosfere. Przewodniczka TUI tez dopelnia cala wycieczke ciekawymi informacjami. Warto!

Uns hat die Sunset Tour wirklich sehr gut gefallen <3 10/10 - da hat von vorne bis hinten wirklich alles gepasst. Die Crew super lustig, unser Fahrer Saki ein meeeega Typ, viel Allgemeinwissen, witzig und super safe gefahren. Das Abendessen und die Stimmung dort war auch ein Volltreffer. Würden diese Tour jederzeit wieder machen. Klare Empfehlung

Unser Guide und Fahrer Thomas, er hat diesen Ausflug zum Erlebnis werden lassen. Hat vieles über Kreta erzählt. Verköstigung diverser Raki, Olivenöle und zum Abschluss das hervorragende kretisches Abendessen in einer Taverne mit diversen Vorspeisen und dem Hauptgang waren einfach Traumhaft.

We hadden een busje wat heel comfortabel zat met airco, we gingen van een jeep uit, omdat dat ook op alle foto’s stond. Dat zit wel minder comfortabel maar heeft wel meer sfeer. Zou wel beter zijn als het busje ook op de foto zou staan. Zonsondergang was heel mooi en de trip er heen ook. Daarna was er eigenlijk niks meer te zien, wat logisch is als het donker is, maar behalve het avond eten was er geen andere stop meer. De dagtour heeft meer inverhouding.

Wir hatten einen super schönen Abend! Von den traditionellen griechischen Verkostungen im Dorf über die Fahrt zum Aussichtspunkt und dem leckeren Essen in der Taverne wirklich sehr empfehlenswert. Unser Guide Thomas hat unter anderem für eine tolle Stimmung und als Fotograf auch noch für wunderschöne Erinnerungen gesorgt.

Das war das beste Erlebnis auf Kreta. Pünktliche Abholung im Jeep für das perfekte Feeling. Man bekommt sehr viel geboten, der Guide hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, war lustig und super informativ. Vielen lieben Dank an Maik, der beste Guide :)
