We loved our captain and extremely knowledgable guide, Chichen Itza was beautiful & breathtaking. Negatives; huge amount of market stalls all around the site from the entrance & throughout on the path to the temple. (Think cancun airport shark tank).do they really need that many sellers? No rest aeas. So be aware

We thought this tour was an ideal way to get to see Chichen Itza without losing the whole day (obviously it is an early start), so lives and dies with the guide you get - we got lucky with Rodrigo, who was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and funny. It’s not the comfiest drive there, but you wouldn’t expect it to be, and I thought the food/drink offering was great - we weren’t expecting a slap up meal, but didn’t need the drinks and snacks we packed. Overall I’d fully recommend this tour!

Happy for the early start so we could get in and out of Chichén Itzá before it was too busy and hot. Our guide, Cory, was great, offering lots of information about the place and our driver, Jonathan, was excellent too, providing snacks and refreshments for the long journey. A little less free time, and more info from the guide, would be good at Chichen Itza, while the minibus was extremely warm on the way back as we all crammed in after being out in the heat. More space would be ideal.

The tour itself was great. 90-min was more than enough time to spend at Chichen Itza. The journey from Playa del Carmen to Chichen Itza is about 2.5 hours each way, which we were fully aware of before booking - however, the transport was horrendous. We were on a tiny minibus for 20 people and I was that squashed my legs went numb towards the end of the journey. The food offered was awful: a little sandwich, a packet of cheap crisps & a breakfast bar for an 8 hour trip that cost £300-very poor!

The guide was nice and the snacks offered and soda and water was cold and given throughout the bus ride. What was not pleasant was waiting 2 hours for them to fill the tour bus up with as many passengers as it could hold. I paid 170$ for an express to chitzen itza, clearly because I value my time. But we wasted the time waiting for guests to arrive to a random gas station where we waiting 2 hours.

1. The van side was pretty small. For average height the legs were cramped and definitely recommend reconsidering bigger leg rooms for tall passengers. 2. We didn’t get boxed lunch as there was no vegetarian options left. Would recommend capturing the food preferences during booking and add variety to include chicken and vegetarian options. 3. Our hotel pickup was last and we didn’t have any options for seating but the last row. It was very bumpy ride and not comfortable at all to be in last row

Advertised as a morning tour it is still an 8 hour day. Our tour guide Sayuri made this trip FANTASTIC. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the mayan culture came across so much in her tour it was fascinating to listen to her and ask her questions. As someone who travelled all that way just to go here, she really made in special and an unforgettable experience!!

The tour was very interesting and informative. Our guide Hazel was fantastic and very passionate about his work and about life which made the tour even more enjoyable. He was also very quick and helpful when my daughter became faint due to the heat. Couldn't have asked for a better guide.

A bit hard to follow with dual language between English & Spanish and a lot of information. Miguel very knowledgeable though. Driver a superstar with cold flannels as well as water and food. Definitely both took into consideration the heat - would definitely recommend them both

Tour operator Cancun Adventures looked after us well - kept us informed about the itinerary and provided welcome snacks and drinks as well as cold towels in the heat. Mani was a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable about Chichen Itza. Lunch at the restaurant in Valladolid was very nice. Only small downside - bit cramped on the minibus for a 2 hour each way journey - but no big deal. Overall a very enjoyable tour.

We went with Micael and Edgar and it was a great day out. It was very informative of the culture and history. The food for lunch was really nice chicken and rice. We found the tequila sales push by the restaurant very heavy and a bit awkward having to say no a lot. It was unavoidable too so be prepared but don’t let it put you off as the tasting was nice. Going early in the morning was great, no crowds, no queuing and it only being a small group was nice too. Free drinks and snacks in the van.

We got picked up in a minibus then had to swap to a different minibus in a petrol station. On the way the tyre blew out in the minibus and we waited for an hour at the side of the road. This was not a great start to the excursion. The staff did their best to fix the wheel but couldn’t. They did offer water.

Ana and Kenny were fab! Great to have safe place to leave bags, lots of drinks and towels to keep us cool. Ana was so knowledgeable. Just the right amount of time at Chichen Itza, and early some shade and not too busy. Lunch and time in Valladilod was a nice surprise!

Paid extra for the express tour, guide turned up 25 mins late, travelled 30 mins was made swap busses so now 20 people on a 20 seat bus packed in like sardines. Second stop 1 hour later for a toilet break. Guide was amazing (Nestor) but we were supposed to get a snack on the trip back but were taken to a local restaurant which gave me an upset tummy. Not express at all and took 11 hours not what I paid for at all

Our guide, Mike, was fantastic - knowledgeable and engaging. And our driver too. The itinerary was clearly set out and they took care of us with fabulous little touches like iced cotton cloths waiting for us on return to the bus, water etc. Our only complaint is having to have lunch after and walk around a Spanish town - we would rather have returned to our hotel after Chichen Itza and this would have made the trip express (it was 10 hours, including a 2 hour drive each way to the site)

First tour was cancelled short notice and 2nd try they went to wrong lobby on 3rd attempt we got the tour. Quick tour, found it hard to understand our guide at times but enjoyed the tour. Express tour you still don't get back to after 4pm, lunch was an hours drive and not in the direction home so a bit of a pain! Basic lunch of rice salad chicken (burger king next door if you want something elses) no running water in restaurant or toilet facilities.

Gefallen hat uns, dass wir am frühen Morgen da waren. Das Wetter war für diesen Ausflug genau richtig. Wir hatten keine Staus. Die Art und Weise der Führung vor Ort hat uns gefallen. Wir haben von ximena eine Menge über die maya Kultur erfahren und konnten auch noch alleine erkunden. Nicht gefallen hat uns, dass auf dem Gelände so viele Händler waren, dass die Anlage einem basar glich. Gebucht wurde expresstour 4-8 Stunden ohne weiteren Aufenthalt. Everything was absolutely brilliant! Our tour guide Ana was superb! Top marks! So knowledgeable and her English/Spanish translations were perfect! My only negative point is the cost that TUI charge for this... Entry was only 540mxn pp and say 500mxn pp.. so TUI are adding an additional 500mxn pp just for booking it! The cost could be 1000mxn total instead of 1500mxn. But everything else was perfect!

Our only complaint would be the fact we purposely booked the express tour as didn’t want to be out all day. However it was not explained to us at any point whilst booking online that due to the location of our hotel the tour would be 10.5hrs long, not the 5-8hrs we were quoted when booking. Josue (our guide) was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, as was the driver. We thoroughly enjoyed the day just didn’t expect it to be so long.

We chose this trip to Chichen Itza as we wanted to get there and back earlier than other trips. I assume this is what the higher price is for. We enjoyed the trip, although I believe that it was massively overpriced for what the trip involved. Lunch is provided, along with a morning snack, but these are basic. The tour guide spent a lot of time at Chichen Itza talking about the trees and other less significant parts of the area and didn’t explain anything about the main part of the site...

Really good guide and driver, cold drinks, snacks and umbrellas to shade us from the sun. Always told what was happening, where to meet and how long we had. Lunch and a quick stop in Valladolid was a bonus. It is an express tour, so you don't get a huge amount of time in each location but definitely plenty of time to see the highlights and a privilege to have seen such an impressive place.

We enjoyed everything about the trip. Jessica, our guide, was so knowledgeable and gave us a fascinating insight into the Maya people/culture. We were glad we chose the shorter morning tour as we still didn’t get back to our hotel until about 4. We weren’t expecting a meal but were delighted to get a lovely lunch on the way back. As soon as we got on the tour bus we were given drinks and snacks which was great given the early start. Chichen Itza really is a world wonder - fabulous experience!

Overall this was a really great trip, the guide was very informative and his English was perfect. The guide and the driver ensured we were looked after by providing water, drinks, snacks and umbrellas for the very hot sun. We were provided lunch as well. Thought it was pretty dear at £150 per person.

Rafa and Rich were quality hosts. They made our experience enjoyable. They were very knowledgeable and educated us on the significant facts about the Mayan heritage. The authentic food was really good. The pick up time might be early however you beat the crowd and get to take some exclusive photos which if we arrived later would not have been viable. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who visits Cancun.

The guide Lalo was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff took care of everyones needs and ensured everyone was included. They provided excellent service and looked after us. Drinks and snacks provided after the tour, it was extremely hot and was very welcome. The lunch was amazing, stopped at a genuine mexican town with local food. Loved it all. The site is too big to see everything.

Really enjoyed the tour. The only problem was it was very different to what we had booked. We expected 3 hours at Chichen Itza but were only given 2. This was disappointing as this was the main reason for booking this tour rather than some of the less expensive alternatives. We also had to wait 50 minutes for our tickets to arrive which was extremely frustrating.

We paid £144 for an express ‘morning’ tour but were dropped back to our hotel at 4.30 so for a start that was mis-leading. The tour said it came with a buffet lunch which was chicken, rice and salad. Our guide asked at the start of our trip if there were any vegetarians, which I am and his response was there is only a salad. So we ended up having to pay for lunch elsewhere. I am not sure what I paid quite so much for, I feel very ripped off. Chichen Itzá was stunning, but the rest was poor.

Good information from the guide. Very informative The only criticism I have is that when the guide is taking during the journey, it is very difficult to hear what is being said due to the road noise. There was a lot of information shared travelling to and from and I couldn’t hear most of it. It would be better to have a small microphone

The guide was very knowledgeable. It states it is a morning tour and you get a snack. We were offered water all the time fruit and cookies and soda. There was a lunch included too which we were not expecting. Definitely would recommend even though it got quite hot! We didn't get back to our hotel until about 4 so was still a long day.

Pick up from hotel was on time. We were taken to our main transport where I sat at the back above the engine. I was also higher than the rest of the passengers and all I could see was the road through the front window, unless I bent forward. After two hours we stopped for a comfort break and someone made room for me, I could then see the passing scenery. The rest of the tour was great. Freddie our guide was very good.

Your was great good staff that were knowledgable and answered all questions. Could have spent some more time looking at the different temples etc at the chichen itza. Food was a bit rubbish and was as Mexican as uncle bens rice Also why is it more expensive for this tour with less stuff in it compared to the ones that include cenotes etc

Mo was. Brilliant guide, very informative and knowledgeable, he kept the blurb shot to allow us to enjoy the place. He was always closely watching the crowds and would tell us the best time to get pictures people free

Everything went very well from pickup to return drop off. Air conditioning on the coach could have been more effective but this was somewhat mitigated by a supply of cooled bottled water which was offered multiple times. The guide was very knowledgeable & enthusiastic & provided a great insight into the Chicen Itza ruins & the lives of the Mayan people.

De verhalen achter de tempels en ook de akoestiek die onze gids overal liet horen. Zo bijzonder om je voor te stellen hoe ze toen leefde. De lunch in Valladolid was een aangename verrassing.

The tour guide was informative and funny, the site itself should be on everyone’s list, the description of the experience should be amended, as it includes lunch in Valladolid, which was a nice surprise, and should be a selling point. The transfer time (5 hours on the minibus in total) is not for the faint hearted!

The transfers were very uncomfortable as the coach was too small for a long distance journey especially the seats. free time at chichen itza wasn't enough considering the time it took to get there. Plus's were drinks and food provided, knowledgeable tour guide.

De gids was erg goed ze vertelde veel en probeerde ook persoonlijke tips te geven voor iedereen in de groep. Alles zodat wij een leuke tijd hadden.
