Che siate seduti a bordo di una Trabi o che frughiate tra gli armadi di un soggiorno ricostruito, il Museo della DDR offre un'esperienza coinvolgente e variegata. Aprire porte, abbassare sportelli, frugare nei cassetti: c'è sempre qualcosa da scoprire, sentire e imparare. Con innumerevoli manufatti, testi, postazioni multimediali e attività, questa è un'esperienza altamente interattiva. Il livello di interazione offerto dalla mostra è unico non solo in Germania, ma in tutto il mondo. Il Museo della DDR è stato nominato due volte Museo Europeo dell'Anno. La mostra permanente offre una panoramica completa della vita quotidiana della Repubblica Democratica Tedesca (DDR). Dalla routine quotidiana dell'appartenenza pionieristica e delle condizioni di vita in un grattacielo alle complessità del sistema politico della Germania Est, il museo svela le realtà della vita sotto la dittatura: consumi e scarsità, il Muro di Berlino e la Stasi, la piena occupazione e la vita scolastica, le onnipresenti Trabi e Interflug, l'economia pianificata e le precarie condizioni ambientali, l'apparato militare e le relazioni con gli "stati fratelli" del blocco orientale.

Really interesting museum but I went on a Sunday and it was so busy it was hard to really spend time looking at the exhibits and information. I would go back but during the week.

De tentoonstelling mist ruimte: teveel op een te beperkte oppervlakte. Wat de overzichtelijkheid niet ten goede komt.
Bovendien is de verlichting van de toelichtingen onvoldoende/ongelukkig geplaatst en dus op diverse plaatsen moeilijk leesbaar.
Tenslotte zijn er m.i. enige inhoudelijke lacunes.

We enjoyed our visit, however, I wouldn't say it's something exceptional.
Especially if you were brought up in the 80's, you already know and have seen the exhibits, as they were part of our every day life back then. It might be more interesting for younger people. The ticket a bit expensive, too.
